bolodre: Ethiopian airline bears all cost. But we also had to buy some basics as all our bags were checked in already. According to them most Air Canada aircrafts were grounded so all flights are fully booked so if for any reason you miss your original flight, it maybe difficult to get booked on the next. 2 Likes |

Onyeenyeh: Search "CIPHI" and read up. I hope u find it helpful. Working as a Public Health Inspector isn't bad at all but u need to be certified first. Also you may try NGOs like CAS and see if u fit in. 5 Likes 1 Share |

[quote author=joo2018 post=74745425]Hi. Replied your post on Friday, but was banned by the spambot, maybe because of the web-link I added. Good to notice that you got a reply. But as an alternative to @cochtrane's suggestion, in case you get stuck with an airline insisting on 6-months validity, I believe you can land with both a new passport and an old passport containing a Canadian visa as long as you present both together. The link that got me banned was to a discussion of the issue on another forum and the CBSA manual that guides the border agents. If you interested in the option, PM so I can forward to you. Ok, thanks so much. Sorry about the ban. 1 Like |

gaggle: Pleassssseeeee guys, biko, ejor any idea. The scenario is Passport & PR Visa expires June. Travel date is last week of March. Is this a problem as passport validity will be less than 6 months. If it is, does CIC need to be contacted after passport renewal or just travel with the new & old passport that has the visa. |

Hi all, pls if the validity of one's passport is less than 6 months(say 2-3 months away from expiry date) will they be let into Canada? If No,is it ok to just renew passport and go. Note that visa and copr is already issued on the yet to expire passport. Please I will really appreciate if I can get a reply. Thanks 3 Likes |

gistwivkome: There are schools that offer after-degree Bachelor of nursing programs (mostly 2yrs). First, find out the pre-requisites for the schools u would like to apply to. For most schools it is usually English 3cr,Arts 3cr, Statistics 3cr, Anatomy & Physiology 6Cr. Some schools also include Psychology. Some schools accept these courses irrespective of when they were taken, while others accept courses taken only within the last 5yrs or 10yrs etc. Second, If u have not taken any or some of the pre-requisites. U should register and take them well before the deadline. Most people take these courses with Athabasca university online or TRU (but please confirm with the schools u are applying to what they will accept). U can first email a student copy of ur university result/transcript to the schools to confirm what courses u already have and what u will be needing. Note that some schools in addition to these, may also consider relevant work experience and certifications during the admission process while some schools admit solely on academics. Most programs start September each year except for a few that have January intake(UCalgary). Another option is going for the LPN or RPN (licensed practical nurse/Registered psychiatric nurse) program first then the BSNursing later. The LPN program is somewhere b/w 16months to 24 months. Then spend another 2-3yrs converting to BSN. This is a longer and more expensive option but the only advantage is,u can work full-time after LPN while u do BSN conversion part time. There is also the option of starting afresh with the 4yr BSN program. - 39 Likes 13 Shares |

[quote author=katyamizotta post=70895763] Awwww. So sorry about ur experience. You could have just walked up to anyone at the airport to help u put a call to ur relative with their phone. Even the airport porters would have gladly done that for u. There is also limited free WiFi services at most airports, even phone booths. I guess you were most likely worked up and nervous...lol. Please,if u ever find ur self in such situation again, don't hesitate to ask for help as soon as possible. It is well with you. 27 Likes |
