[quote author=Aka2003 post=67952351]Make I first appreciate the guys for this thread. Una too much sha. Me na silent reader ooo. But I just say make I comot from ghostmode to yarn small about this our IELTS writing. Wahala dey for this our writing ooo.I believe that writing is the most tasking part of the IELTS exam. In my opinion sha there are some issues with our writing. 1.Spelling- this one no need further explanation. Since we start to use messenger the thing don reach alarming level. Me sef wey dey yarn this yarn I sure say my spelling na F9. 2.Over writing- abeg if them say 250 words try limit am to max 260. Over writing shows the limits of the candidates vocabulary. There is a reason why word count limits are imposed. E no be because BC no get paper to give us or say them no get capacity to mark am ooo lol. 3. Limited vocabulary - leads to repeating the same words and hence over writing. Person wey get beta vocabs fit use one word explain something wey another person go use 10 words explain remain. Appropriate use of vocabs is the difference between band 7.5 and band 8 in IELTS writing oo 4. Under writing - similar to point 2. if them say 250 words abeg no write 200 and say e don do oo. Try make sure say you reach 255. And no go fill the paper with the same words just to meet the word count ooo. 5. Poor paragraphing- o girl the rules to paragraphing plenty oo. To illustrate this make we just go any of our popular blogs and see the thrash wey them dey write as stories ( bloggers no come kpai me oo na joke I dey oo) 6.Poor essay structure - This one mean say the essay no get structure ie person no dey know where the essay start or where the middle of the essay be. Most time na just collection of words wey we dey present as essay. This is related to item 5 7. Off point - No need to explain this. We as a nation too like to yarn opata OMG! No. 7 got me rolling on the floor... |
twistedfantasy:I had a similar experience too and funny enough I got my ECA without sending my transcript. But I am suspecting it's either my school included my transcript while responding to wes verification mail or they got it from their database cos I once evaluated my transcript with wes usa in 2007. So u could just wait and see. |
Elfmannisback:Elfmann I thought that spouse of brother/sister can be used too |
[quote author=Tojued post=67480773]It's possible for school is efficient and verified without any contact from you like they are supposed to. Yes u are correct. My school (uniport) responded to my verification at no cost b4 i even contacted them. |
diegosticks:Guess. U think say we the girls no sabi relocate too .have been trying to call u but ur line is switched off. |
diegosticks:Chiji.... who are u guys leaving to occupy the Obi as u all are running abroad |
Hi everyone, please I am having a little bit of confusion here. I registered for wes and scanned a copy of my certificate via hellofax some days back but I am still in the process of sending my transcript to them. I am surprised to get this mail this morning :- "This is to advise you that photocopies of your documents have been sent to University of Port Harcourt for verification and that your file has been placed on hold until we receive their written response. If we do not receive a response from them within seven weeks, we will automatically send another request. There is nothing that you need to do." Please wat could they possibly be evaluating?...Just the certificate? . Should I now just work on sending a verification to wes or what? When the school replies to wes verification mail do they include another copy of the certificate and transcript . Please anyone with similar experience let me know. |
bababode825:please can ur contact help with postgraduate (MBA) transcript? |
Onizea:I brought in 6pcs of braided wigs when I visited in january and nobody disturbed me. I had them in my hand luggage. As for clothes u are better off buying what u need from here. Australia can be expensive. I went into one store called Myer, the prices made me sick. The only affordable place was Kmart, best and less, target, Factorie(their sales rack). Went to Salvos and Good Sammy but most of the items there were worn out. |
I see so many people are asking about braided wigs. let me add my experience and use the opportunity to sell my remaining market. I was in Aussie for 2weeks b/w Jan. 25th to Feb 8th for my brothers wedding. I came in with 6 braided wigs(3 shoulder length and 3 slightly above bra length). My sis-inlaw helped me put it up on a facebook selling site. I was only able to sell 4pcs while i was there. so i still have 2 (1 short&1long) left. The colours I have left are 1 black (short) and Colour 27/1 ie black/purple (long). The wigs are very neatly braided with closure. U can send me a pm if u want them at a give away price cos they are the last ones. Location is Perth Western Australia. Back to the questions: No body harrassed me for carrying the wigs o and I had them in my hand luggage. They only threw away my mum's dried vegetables she tried begging the cbp he told her to go to Coles and buy vegetables. On whether it is a viable business, My dear if u no get power to talk plenty please keep ur money. I didn't really make much profit compared to the ones I sold in the US. Maybe becos I had a short period and I was in a hurry to sell off. I hope this helps. P.S: Anybody that wants to buy any of the remaining 2 should pm me. |

favoredgal:@neks, I don't think u have a problem. I flew from boston to houston at about 32weeks using southwest airline no one asked any questions. when I landed I filled in the address of the people I was going to stay with in boston. I stayed with them for about a month before heading to houston. |
