@ gaggle I also receive mail of $750 from the anaesthetic group after paying the $750 for the anaesthesia to the hospital although I use HNMC.I just sorted it out.
Call the number on the mail and tell them you've paid your fee they will ask you for the your acct number and it is also on the mail. You can also ask them to mail you your Zero balance. The hospital send your money to the anaesthetic group so it is possible they've not send it to them before they mail you. It is no issue once you have your the receipt for the money paid.
Thanks for the reply. I already called the number and they asked that I fax them a copy of the receipt of payment. I wish I hear the good news of refund of balance cos I paid 1500 but I was sent a bill of $683 (somebody say Amen... lol)

Nigerian consulate passport services will be in Houston TX from 14th to 17th. Venue: Comfort Inn 11230 Southwest Freeway, Houston TX 77031. If you are interested in processing your baby's Nigeria passport. Abeg I just got the info and decided to share, I don't even know if sb Hv shared it already as I hvnt been able to read up new posts. Thanks for all your wishes, I appreciate.
My host told me that the Passport doesn't arrive immediately cos they take it back to their head office then start processing. He actually got his almost a month after applying at one of such exercise in houston. So not sure it's a good idea. Pls anyone with more info should clarify.

Someone recently mentioned Ultra Mobile to me with free 1000 minutes to Nigeria monthly. Haven't gotten a chance to look into it so I can't confirm it. Check out their website for details.
I am using ultra mobile, the number of minutes u get depends on the plan u going for. I am on the $19 plan per month. It's ok. But get ready for their marketing team to push out ur baby with their persistent calls.

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by gaggle: 4:26am On Sep 30, 2015
@Popri, I totally understand and agree with what you said but the Dr that did the scan for me in naija sounded so sure. He even showed me the baby's legs with nothing in between, showed me three lines abi dots he called clitoria whatever although me I could not see any of wat he was pointing at on the machine but I had to agree with him since he is the professional. So when I was told to do a scan here I was like no need except absolutely necessary. Na so I do alaroro until day of delivery and I was surprised! I am thankful to God I didn't spend so much on clothing for the baby cos I was hoping to pass down wat my 1st daughter used. Anyhow na God do am for me :-D

congrats @ olokings

[quote author=ewa2014 post=36612829]In the spirit of giving back, I had my baby some days ago in New York. I checked Wycoff, Queens Medical Center, kings county hospital Brooklyn, jamaica hospital, new York Hospital Queens but eventually settled with MMC (Mercy Medical Center) cos they had a straight forward pricing and honestly I got top notch satisfaction from the level of care I received.

Prenatal visits and care, tests, sonogram and delivery cost at the hospital's care center is 1100;
2 days hospital stay with sumptuous food (and a celebration dinner for the couple...LoL. let's just say I like food too much sha ) is 6000;
Epidural 1000.
Several tests and vaccines were administered during the 2 days stay and it's all inclusive in what you paid (tdap, hep B, hearing test, vit K, etc etc).
2 post partum visit for mother is also included but you pay 85 for pediatrician to see baby after discharge

congrats!

-: boston medical center cos I was told that is the most affordable they gave a quote of $11,500 which includes :-all prenatal visits & 1 postpartum visit, tests (uss, labs), delivery, 2days hospital stay +baby nursery,3 pediatric clinic visits after discharge. c-section additional 3500,circumcision $423.

I am still confused if they actually noticed my bump or not cos I didn't dress to cover and my bump is quite long but since them no ask purpose of trip we jeje no talk. The only cbp wey give me serious tough time na hubby, right from naija he started harassing me "baby,dis thing u want to wear is too light ",even at Mma2 he started telling me na like dis u wan go stand for there,if I put hand for waist wahala. When we were on the queue at boston airport he will turn to me and say things like stand straight, don't make them come and take us straight to secondary inspection straight. I was almost going crazy with his wahala. Biko,even if na heaven we wan enter... lol. Men sabi panic pass women but dem no go gree..

grin ;DHello house, reporting live from US. Came in on the 9th through Boston, using emirates (dat journey no be beans) with Hubby. POE was over smooth, spent less than 3mins with cbp. Just asked a few questions below :
How long are you spending :_ hubby replied 3 weeks and my wife will be staying a little longer.
Where will you be staying :-hubby said at my wife's aunty's.
He asked us to place our fingers, took pictures and said have a great vacation.
we went to pick our bags,then on our way out we were asked to meet another cbp cos we declared food and cash. He just asked how much we had and what food.We told him and he was like dats fine you are not politicians so we don't care how much you bring along with you just let us know, bye enjoy your stay. so I am chilling in boston now, will start hospital hunting on monday but if I don't get any within budget..houston here I come.
