We won...any other thing is secondary for now...OF WHAT USE TO US IF WE PLAY GOOD FOOTBALL AND LOSE?

I hold any other comment against the coach and team...they did the needful...full stop...top of the group now...

One positive---we have started scoring high number of goals since Rohr took over...three and fours

Seven goals in two matches and conceding just two

Yes. If you remember very well...this is the main reason we lost to Argentina....he refused to bring in fresh legs when the whole world was aware that certain players were tired and Argentina was bringing in fresh legs...just the same thing...now this match is about to be blown away

Watching this match makes to slowing conclude that we really have average players all over....who plays this type of football bikonu? Or is that we are relaxed or underrating Libya?

I do not like our pace whenever we hold the ball....its like we are here for a draw...Seychelles have offered us a lifeline to top the group...We should wrap up qualification with this match....Seychelles may come here to frustrate us and South Africa will refuse to go down in their backyard....time is now to nick this qualification here in Tunisia

Sorry to come in. i dont see this libya team posing threat to the super eagles... the both team you mention on ur post are better and were in form when we play them not an average libyan team that could only muster few scoring chance.
Football is full of surprises...this same team went to South Africa who beat us 2-0 here to draw 2-2.the same team team came here, and we pumelled them 4-0...anything can happen. But from a reprot i saw...we will be defending deep and counter-attacking which Iwobi is going to spearhead because of his passing accuracy

Be sure that if we do five counter-attacks...two will hit target....is a goal!!!!

Comoros 1 Morocco 0

Just checked and the entire Comoros squad bar one player is French born. More than 60% of the team were actually born in Marseilles and a few had been capped by France in the junior teams.

na wa
They nearly drew in Morocco sauf that 96th minutes penalty when the match should have ended in 95th minute...they play a lot of tactical football and are very skilful...their positioning eee

Please remove the U17 from there, the U17 should be reserved for players based in Nigeria.
Ok..accepted..[Manu Garba should NEVER be removed as u71 coach].but remember...u17 level is way too different from u21...u21 requires more maturity...bravery and technique...thats why you cannot just shift most players of u17 to u21...players are this u21 level will have to be invited based on merit not based on u17 feats...Twice we have failed with that particular transition...

I think, we should have a standing under 21 team that plays friendlies during international breaks. That way, we can see which of the youth players might be ready to step up and cap some of the youth dual citizen prospects.
Great man..NFF has money now to implement this programme...the benefits are massive..there was a time they tried something like that even bringing in FBs to join at u20 and u17 levels...they played one or two matches and closed shop...pity...we need it more than ever before...This includes having a youth league for NPFL teams...

On Iwobi...

I feel he needs to face a more tactical-no-space team...to STRETCH AND TASK HIS CREATIVITY...he had so much space yesterday...if you watch the match again...you will see about three or more occasions he was crowded out and he could not wriggle out or change direction...he lost his mojo grin...

More importantly...i think his strong point is DELIVERING THAT FINAL PASS...i think his best position is just behind two main strikers...not moving deep into midfield...

2019: Court nullifies Rivers APC Governorship Nomination
Also nullifies Rivers APC Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Nominations
A High Court in Port Harcourt on Wednesday nullified the nomination of Mr Tonye Cole as the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State on the ground that his nomination is a function of illegality and unconstitutional acts.
The Court also nullified the the Rivers State APC Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly Primaries conducted on the premise of the illegal ward congresses.
The High Court further nullified all the elections of Rivers APC Ward Executives, Local Government Executives and State Executive Committee that arose from the illegal ward congresses.
In a judgment delivered by Justice Chiwendu Nwogu in a suit filed by Ibrahim Imah and twenty-two others against the APC, the Court declared that the ward congresses of Rivers APC were illegal because they were not conducted in line with the APC Guidelines and Constitution.
Justice Nwogu set aside the ward congresses of Rivers APC on May 19, 2018, Local Government Congresses of May 19, 2018 and State Congress of the party of May 21, 2018.
He stated that all actions taken by the APC during the pedancy of the suit have been set aside because they are illegal and unconstitutional.
Justice Nwogu declared that all those who purchased nomination forms for the ward congresses were entitled to contest the ward congresses of May 19, 2018, but were unjustly excluded by the party.
He said: "The Rule by might must be checked by the rule of law. We must restore the hope of the common man in the justice system".
Justice Nwogu who based his judgement on the Amaechi versus INEC Matter of 2007, noted that having studied the submissions in the matter, he was bound to make consequential orders to ensure that justice was done in the case.
He stated that the High Court has jurisdiction to entertain the matter as an Appeal filed by the respondents at the Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt to stop proceedings on the suit was rejected by the Appellate Court on September 21, 2018.
He stated that all through the hearing, the APC filed no counter-affidavit denying the facts of the matter as presented by the applicants in the originating summons.
Justice Nwogu said that it is trite law that facts not disputed are deemed admitted.
On the suit filed in an Abuja High Court by a faction of the APC , Justice Nwogu declared that the court is of coordinate jurisdiction with the High Court in Port Harcourt and cannot sit in appeal over it. He added that the suit filed by Ibrahim Imah, preceded that of the Abuja High Court by a faction of the Rivers State APC.
Earlier before the delivery of the judgment, a counsel to the APC, Prince OSM Azunda moved a motion seeking to stop the delivery of the judgment.
However, Justice Nwogu dismissed his application which he termed as a ploy to arrest the judgement.
Following the judgment, the APC no longer has a candidate for the governorhip, Senate, House of Representatives, House of Assembly Elections in the forthcoming 2019 General Elections.
The APC also has no State Working Committee, Local Government Working Committees and Ward Executives.

All these Ivorians you are mentioning....hum...you did not add Gervinho at Parma....

Anyway... my own is that individuals do not make a team...they need to gel which may be fast or slow depending on the type of coaching they receive...however...they had all these players yet did not qualify for world cup....i think one thing will undo them...ego...they have it in abundance like Dutch national team of years ago of Edgar Davies,Kluivert,Cocu,Bergamp, that Ghana coach now..etc

Maybe or Maybe not.

When Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh was Finance Minister in the first republic he was living a luxurious life off the proceeds of our Agricultural sector. Corruption still would have creped in. No major economy of the world has Agriculture as its main stay. Not even when we have a population as huge as 180-200Million with arable land being lost to both human activities, desertification and erosion on daily basis.

I agree with u that other sectors would have been developed. But what other sectors? Mining? Just like Oil too. Manufacturing? We still would have had power problems although raw materials would have been more available due to a more buoyant Agricultural sector. Technology? Yes. Would have really boosted our economy.

My brother make we leave economics small talk football. Nigeria's problems are deep rooted.
And after the Civil War instead of tapping the intelligence of Biafrans to produce firearms and other technologies....Nigeria faced oil and young Gowon said...money is not our problem but how to spend it....here we are borrowing even when oil prices are high
