Deji makes match day squad,has not played yet. Its like he has the same physique like Ebuehi....its also like Rohr likes rugged looking players...why would he invite Collins in Bundesliga 2 and leave out Deji in Bundesliga 1?

NOOOO...these players have grown...they have undergone some developments...... for good or bad depending on the clubs and agents they chose....Nwakali has not really stepped up his game....he has opportunity to blossom....scouts are everywhere looking for talents...a gold fish has no hiding place...

I tell you NO STADIUM IS READY...i have several Cameroon Televisions...,crtv,canal2english,canal2international,Ltm,stv,Equinoxe tv,etc. There,it is constant lambasting of les officiers[the officers] about readiness for afcon 2019...these are mostly independent televisions except crtv. They are not really ready instead...le gouvenement[the government] constantly attack Ahmad Ahmad saying he wants to take away the hosting right because of his affair with Hayatout. I have noticed the Bundesliga is now really positively trying to attract and recruit Black African boys so there are a lot more of them.

Aigbogun should please invite these FB players into his U20 team. They are still eligible to play for Nigeria U20 team.


1, Mujaid Sadick is 18years old and has played as a Center Back and Right Back for Deportivo Dr la Corina in the La Liga.

2. Deji Beyreuther will be 19 years old tomorrow. He is predominantly a LB but can also play as a LM and LW. Traded is mark in the Bundesliga 4th division with Eintrantc Frankfurt U19 last season though made the first team bench on two occasions. This season, he has been promoted to the first team.


3. Keanan Bennetts played 28 games for Tottenham Hotspur U23 in the Premier league 2 last season. His 8 goals with 5 assists from his Left Midfield/Left wing/Right wing positions (though played more as a LB) cut the attention of Borussia Monchenglabach to buy him off from Tottenham. He is currently in their first team and could get some game time anytime soon in the Bundesliga. He is just 19 years old.


4. Midhat Bajric is 17 years old Center Back with Hoffenheim U19 in the Bundesliga 4 division. He already garnered experience playing in said division last season.

5. Marvin Olawale Akinlabi Park is an attacking midfielder playing for Real Madrid Juvenile A team. He is just 18 years old.

The difference between Nigeria and the teams you are mentioning above is that they have well developed structure outside the U17. They have outstanding leagues which adopts and help groom/promote these players.

The U17 is the fairest, balanced system we have to identify and nurture stars. However, developing a host of quality players will take factors like improving our home League, developing academies and encouraging our home League teams to recruit these youngsters. Then we can nurture a top U20 team. Until then, we continue using what we have.

Hum..China 85 covered our eyes...Osondu blinded us..... Iheanacho and co took us to the the unreal world...look at the academies...all claiming u17....all because of our success at that level...there is no u19 team anywhere....no u23 team anywhere.....there is even u23 league in England...or Development Leaugue...at least but here it is just academies...they go through a long process before coming to the national team...Ndidi,Iheanancho,Success,etc playing the national team. But look at their other TALENTED MATES Musa Yahaya for one....still learning the ropes so to say...may be i feel this way because we have won u17 so much that it does not thrill any more winning it..perhaps but the truth is...we must shift focus to u21 in other to make more impact at senior level...Noe Enogela is going to Olympic Donesk since 2015...it takes long to mature..

Good initiative. All league teams should have standard under 15 and under 17 sides.

It is good strong step forward...european format... I would like NFF to take it up from there....compulsory for all clubs...then establish zonal MRI centres for clubs u15 and u17 to go through before registration...then have their subsequent leagues....it will be BOOOOOOM......talent everywhere...very soon we become better than Brazil football factories.

There is a senator from Yobe,i think a former governor. He is in the senate now. He said he is going to be in the senate for life. That people have started calling him " senator for life" in Yobe.

We have continued to fail at U20 because we ha continued to under estimate the competition at that level. I don't know if u have joined this thread when I was lamenting the selection process of the U20s.

If we do well at U17 there is always the tendency to promote most of the U17 to U20. I don't have issues if they all merit the promotion but where there are issues is where the coach will chose to remain loyal to his U17 players if he is promoted along with them, there by ignoring other players who were not part of the U17 and have the quality to knock out some of those ex-U17 players.

Why we have continued to perform relatively better at U23 than at U20 is because we have always failed at U20 and so there will not be this cry of promoting all the U20 players to U23. At U23, we go for the best available and we have often seen the results.

Throw the U20 screening open and select our best Available legs within that age you'll see the difference.

Each time we win the U17 years later we either crash out at the Group stage of the U20 or at best 2nd round. Our best U20 performances have never come 2 years after winning an U17 WC.

And on the World level, no country has ever won the U17 and two years later won the U20. Same U17 players loyalty is a major reason.

Sometimes I don't know if those in our NFF technical committees have not taken time to observe these trends.

The last England U20 winning team should be a model we should copy, matured U20 squad, full of experience. Not parading 16, 17 years old academy players as U20 and expecting them to do magic

You have full marks on this..the u21 is a different bowl of eba and egusi soup--thats what i will eat this afternoon by the way....If we ever get this right...the result will be booom...they will move straight to main teams with their age..and start playing immediately...but at u17 hum...they are still seen as academy players...lets hope that our NFF take note of this and act fast. MOST ARGENTINE S MAJOR PLAYERS CAME UP THROUGH U21 NOT U17....Maradona..Batistuta...Messi...etc
