It was a hot Sunday afternoon. I was in my cubicle enjoying some country music when I heard the emergency bell at the barracks.

I jumped out of my bed to dress up as the bells rang.

We paraded and the base information was that there was an ongoing conflict at Bambali, a town in the South Western region so our presence as community combat forces in the army were required.

This was just a week after returning from Somalia as United Nation Soldiers on peace keeping. We have fifteen minutes to dress up for deployment. I dressed up quickly. Just when I was about to stepping out, Vanessa, a colleague soldier walked in.

Such a beautiful woman she was, I proposed to her some three months ago but she turned down my request saying she couldn’t trust me with her fragile heart.

“Hey Soldier!, why have you not being calling me lately” She inquired.

“Eerm nothing” I replied.

“Nothing?, oh so if i should have given in this was how you gonna treat me huh? Anyways Do you know I’m going with you on this mission?” Vanessa added.

I was surprised to hear that from her.. “But you are not part of the combat forces so what are you going to do there?” I asked.

She got a bit closer and said”Well there are casualties in the ongoing conflict, people will need medical attention so General has decided to add myself and a few other nurses to the team to take control of the injured, I’m told because of the conflicts nurses and medical staff have fled the Bambali town for their safety” she said.

”Oh that’s cool,….” I replied . She then placed her gun on my shoulder, “take my weapon. I want to have something from you and so give me yours. After this mission you can have me all to yourself. I know that’s all you want. Bleep the hell out of me till I cry, beg and squirt” She said smiling with a seducing look.

I was surprised but I never said a word. I smiled and up my head went gazing at the tent as if I had something to tell the Creator.

Vanessa took my gun and I kept hers. We left to our aerodrome to board the helicopter to Bambali.

We got to Bambali in about an hour later, truly the place was on fire. I could see some few houses burnt into ashes. The whole conflict per our sources disclosed was as a result of a chieftancy dispute which had been lasting for over a decade.

The previous governments had tried solving it once and for all but the conflict never seemed to cease.

The Bambali town was as quiet as a cemetery. We went to our designated camp to mount our tents and later deployed to various zones in the join to protect those around.

The night came and those on shift went to guard the town while we had the night off.

The next day the President of the Republic and other dignitaries came around to mediate between the factions.

After the meeting it became necessary for us to lay off our duty for the police to maintain internal peace.

I was shocked to the bone when I glanced through the document.

“Sir I swear I know nothing about this, what happened was that before we were deployed I exchanged my weapon with Vanessa. In fact the day the news broke that someone has shot the king we were together. I don’t know how it all happened Sir” I said with almost tears

An Argentine woman Brenda Barattini accused of cutting off her boyfriend’s penis with gardening scissors said she was provoked because he showed his friends their homemade sex tape, according to reports.

The 26-year-old Barattini allegedly committed the revenge attack in the Nueva Cordoba area of the Argentine city of Cordoba last November, which left her 40-year-old boyfriend with 90 percent of his penis chopped off, and in life-threatening condition.

Barattini, who is serving imprisonment without bail ahead of her trial, said she suffered great psychological harm because of the leaked tape by her boyfriend, Sergio Fernandez.

“I cut his penis but not completely: I injured him. It wasn’t complete: I injured him,” she said, according to a translation of her jail interview.

The man has been left depressed, one of his attorneys said, as he waits for future operations.

According to Fox News, hospital employees were unable to reattach Fernandez’ penis.

The incident rings similar to the case of Lorena Bobbitt, a woman who, in 1993, cut off her husband’s penis while he was sleeping.

Bobbitt said she did it because she “snapped” after her husband allegedly raped her the previous night.

Award winning Nigerian musician, Davido has begin to show his philanthropist nature by giving back.

Davido, on Saturday, just before performing at his concert visited a music school in Rwanda, announcing to them that he’d be donating $5000 to their education, and gifted them all free tickets to his concert later in the day.

The musician shared a video of himself during his visit on twitter. Davido also performed live for the students.

A 32-year-old businesswoman, Adenike Bolarinwa, has urged an Agege Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve her eight-year-old loveless marriage, citing sexual harassment and constant battering.
Adenike, an indigene of Abeokuta, Ogun, told the court on Friday there was no more love between her and the husband, Abiola Bolarinwa.
The mother of two, who resides at Obawole, Okeira in Aguda-Ogba area of Lagos, said: “My husband constantly beats me and no longer cares for me and our children.’’
The woman, who described her husband as irresponsible, said he often demanded sex amid harassment and blackmail.
“He calls me unprintable names in the presence of the children.
“My husband often makes uncomplimentary utterances about me while forcefully having sex with me; he calls me a harlot,” she said.
The petitioner accused her husband of threatening her life, adding that he had turned her into a punching bag.
“I had to run away from the house when it became unbearable.
“There was a time my husband beat me severely and l was in coma for three days and admitted in the hospital for weeks.
“He is irresponsible, I want the court to separate us as I am no longer interested in the union.’’
She asked the court to grant the custody of their children to her.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the woman was fighting back tears in his passionate plea to the court to dissolve the marriage.
“I want to live comfortably and in peace.”
The respondent, Abiola, a surveyor, however, denied the allegations, describing his wife as wayward and arrogant.
“My wife is stubborn, rude and has no respect for me as her husband.’’
The 38-year-old husband, however, told the court: “I still love her; I do not want the marriage dissolved.
“l promise to resolve whatever disagreement and conflicts we are facing.”
The court’s President, Mrs Ibironke Elabor, who advised the estranged couple to keep the peace, adjourned the case until March 1 for the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to take over the case.

4. Reach out for help
If you feel tempted to spark up a relationship with someone else, tell someone. Don’t keep this to yourself. It will be a difficult conversation to have with your spouse and your family, but it needs to happen. You have made a commitment to love one person; don’t betray that trust.
Talking with a professional privately and with your husband or wife can also help resolve what you are feeling.

5. Limit opportunity
If you are never in the situation where you could cheat on your spouse, it will never happen. If your partner can’t come to dinner with old friends, invite a trusted friend or couple to join you.
Don’t keep in touch with old flames on social media; there is no reason to spark up a private conversation with people from your past.

Stop letting the media trick you into believing the fairytale ending that supposedly comes with infidelity. Marriage is a beautiful promise to commit, support, love and respect someone. Don’t throw away a life of happiness with someone who truly loves you in the heat of the moment.

Davido spoke about his plans for the new year in a recent interview. The singer revealed that an album is in the pipeline and he added that he would continue to drop hits back to back like he has always done.

When quizzed about the international collaborations on the album, the singer responded by saying his focus is the Nigerian and African music community rather than the international music sphere. He said “I care about what I do in my country. In fact, f*ck international collaborations.” He went on to say “Drakeno be God.”
