babasolution: My basic point is that the older generation has developed only the church as against any other thing in Nigeria, am not against the church but the foolishness of the older generation You should rather blame the people at the top for the u development. When the head is spoilt, every other parts are affected Who told you the older generation developed only churches? Compare what we had then to what we have now |
Politics › Re: The CHURCH Is The Reason Why Nigeria Isn't Working by gammarays(m): 12:06pm On Mar 28, 2024 |
babasolution: Actually my post isn't about the church but about the colonial GENERATION who destroyed Nigeria.
There's a common denominator about them All they know and understand is religion.
For the Christians their ultimate focus is church church ,Bible ,God etc.
The Muslims is the same.
They are the generation that killed all thriving industries and created the current booming religion industry in NIG.
That has been their legacy has they bow out, Religion.
They have built nothing They have left nothing
Younger generation are building Nigeria from the ground up.
The only thing the colonial GENERATION have built successfully in Nigeria is the religious industry with thriving booming churches worldwide and Islamist fundamentalism.
No technology, no innovation, no economic progress, no infrastructure, no political advancement, no industries, only few businesses,no rule of law,no educational advancements etc .
only Religion, only religion Religion has nothing to do with development but the people in it The most developed countries in the world are religious abi na Christianity make your leaders dey embezzle money? 🙄🙄 The church runs the most organized institutions in Nigeria ranging from schools to hospitals yet your government can't manage theirs despite the billions allocated 🙄🙄 Since Christians or religious people are the problem of Nigeria, Atheists should be the solution nah but no Atheists in Nigeria are only effective in talking and not productive like their western counterparts |

Glad you could reason with me and be patient to see a resolution come forth.
And thanks for deleting your unfounded, slanderous comments on my threads as promised.

I had a deal with nairaland user Mustiboy or Elizkid on the 18th of last month which turned sour. Opened a thread to call him out with the help of other nairalanders.
Funds have been refunded fully to me. Elizkid cited some issues which caused the problem but what matters most is the reversal of funds.
Special thanks to nairalanders for their support 🙏🙏🙏 |

VICJERBETS: I'm not necessarily looking for a paid one. Just one where the real software development is being applied in Akwa Ibom, and I'd be glad if you can point me to one. There's somewhere at 4 lanes junction Oron road sharing building with one pharmacy. Start innovation hub is the name You can enquire. I use their workspace |
Webmasters › Re: Is Akwa-ibom (the Nigerian Silicon Valley) A Safe Place For SIWES/IT? by gammarays(m): 9:42pm On Mar 18, 2024 |
VICJERBETS: Good day fams. Hope y'all are doing great?
I've been seeing online and in the news more frequently about Akwa Ibom being the "Nigerian Silicon Valley", as more devs are running away from Lagos and Abuja, because of its high cost of living, mental stress, etc, to Akwa Ibom.
I'm a computer science student and I'm currently looking for a place to do my SIWES/IT for the next six months. And honestly I'd wish it to be Lagos and Abuja since this is where the "big" tech firms are. However I think I've had to reconsider because of housing, as I was thinking of HiiT in Ikeja, but the lowest price for self con I saw was #500k.
So I'd love if you are in Akwa Ibom to please share your view of the place and also list any firm you can refer to for doing SIWES/IT for the next 6 months as a computer science student.
Thanks 🙏. Akwa Ibom is cheaper and conducive compared to Lagos or Abuja However, if you're looking for a paid IT program stick to Lagos or Abuja |

Calitoscassius: You don't understand, again, what if he dies or his health detoriates in the job before he could save enough to meet his budget?
Your advice may sound realistic, but his health and life are more important, he could not work to save money if his health is bad or if he dies in the job.
If it comes down to him begging or needs assistance from me, no problem! Atleast he would still be alive and healthy.
Have ever heard the phrase, health is wealth?
Pardon me for sounding unreasonable to you but i am being reasonable.. People like us prefer to stress and survive than relax and beg Continuing the job for a few months more in order to save won't kill him. The yearning for a better future is what makes us struggle today. I didn't advise him to continue with the job for long. However he has to prepare before resigning or it'll be disaster |

Calitoscassius: Yea! While he is still in the job and trying to save, he dies in the job. Then what?
Good advice! I guess.. You don't understand If he resigns now without funds, how can he take care of himself while learning something else. You forget the increasing price of stuffs now. I gave him a realistic advice, let him get a budget of what he's to spend after resigning and work to get that money. Unless you want him to beg or you can gift him money |

Akinfemmy: Hello, good people of Nairaland,
I'm 27 years old and, due to the lack of jobs in the country and after sitting at home for some months, I decided to work in a Chinese factory that produces baby diapers and menstruation pads. I was employed as a machine operator. The job is a 12-hour shift and can be either day or night. We have an hour break, and they provide food during the break. However, the job is so stressful that I'm mentally and physically burnt out. I barely have time for anything else. My life right now is wake, work, sleep. I am an introvert by nature with a little bit of social anxiety, and since I started, it's even been difficult keeping up with the few friends I have. I'm so lonely and depressed, but I can't quit yet; I just started. My intention was to work for 3-6 months so I can save and get myself photography equipment because I've learned photography. But I don't think I can stay up to 3 months. I'm not happy at all. The pay is 70k, but the stress involved is worth more than that.
The reason I brought up this topic is because I want people who have had similar experiences to share how they coped; maybe I can learn a thing or two. Also, if you have any online jobs you can teach me, I'm ready to learn. I'm computer savvy. Let me give a blunt advice Don't resign from that work until you've saved enough money to cater for your expenses after resigning Plan everything with realistic estimate before resigning not after |

Theopneustos: Good day Nairalanders
It is no longer funny how things skyrocket every day in this country, with salary remaining the same in some quarters, but that's not the major reason for my writing here. The issue is that in Port Harcourt, Rivers state Nigeria the price is like double of what is obtainable in other states, for instance a sachet water is #50 naira,I went out to get a bottle of Nutri Milk and the seller told me #450 naira, though I had the money I cannot imagine something that I bought 300 naira some days ago increasing to that amount. I think that somehow that of Port Harcourt is on another level.
Please how is it your side Price of nutri milk is 450-500 naira That's the Balablue price everywhere PH is not different Sellers can also add some money to mitigate against the rising cost of stuffs What they bought for 5000 naira today will be sold at 6000 naira the next time they buy |
