Trump has no option, he has to ditch his combative style and come to the table to negotiate deals with the democrats. His has his new UMSCA deal to pass through congress as well as any potential deal he reaches with North Korea or Iran. He should also forget about repealing obamcare or building any wall. Knowing Trump, he might decide to present a budget for his wall to the house, have them reject it and then cry to the public that democrats are not doing anything about immigration but that would be a bad move in my opinion. If I were him, I will make sure i get the UMSCA passed in the lame duck session before the new congress is sworn in

If Sarah Sanders goes out tomorrow and calls one of her friends an idiot. Will you then go out and report that WH releases a statement calling someone an idiot? That was just totally dishonest reporting by those journalists who carried that news. Even the usually anti Trump CNN shut down that news and gave the correct version of what happened.

I don't think you read my post rightly. I said Susan Collins and Murkowski couldn't just support Trump's radical agenda just because they were Republicans. If they did, they would blow their reelection chances at home. So also is it for Joe Manchin, he couldn't join the radical opposition to Trump because he would have lost his reelection race. My point is that many red state house reps will not want to join any radical opposition to Trump because it will affect their reelection chances. Go back and read my post again and you will understand the point I was making

You are overestimating the significance of this, the map for the 2020 race for the house will be very bad for Democrats. A lot of those moderate Democratic incumbents that will be defending their seats in red states in 2020 are not likely to join any attempt to radically oppose Trump. Just like Lisa murkowski and Susan Collins for the GOP and Joe Manchin for the dems had to play it safe to safeguard their reelection in the senate. Those red state Democrats who ignored this trend paid a very big price tonight in Senate races. I don't think red state Democratic reps will want to tow the same path
