yahoodotcom: Gop flip more senate seat. Senate is more important for confirmation and more supreme court Is Trump going to spend the next two years only appointing judges to courts? He needs the house to move his other agenda forward |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 6:57am On Nov 07, 2018 |
yahoodotcom: Republicans won more senate seats and democrats take the house. House can be overpower by executive order. Senate is more important. Any decision make by the house can be overturn by Don't think so o, if Trump doesn't find a way to work with the house, then he should forget about getting any of his political or economic agenda through the house and they will definitely make the place hell for him and his cabinet members through their oversight powers. He has to humble himself and find a way to work with them |

God Bless President Donald John Trump!!! Trump has no option, he has to ditch his combative style and come to the table to negotiate deals with the democrats. His has his new UMSCA deal to pass through congress as well as any potential deal he reaches with North Korea or Iran. He should also forget about repealing obamcare or building any wall. Knowing Trump, he might decide to present a budget for his wall to the house, have them reject it and then cry to the public that democrats are not doing anything about immigration but that would be a bad move in my opinion. If I were him, I will make sure i get the UMSCA passed in the lame duck session before the new congress is sworn in |

Abbeybailey: Hate to tell you this one more time, when Sarah Huckabee speaks, she speaks for the President because she's the Press Secretary hence people believed she's getting her direction from the WH. She's the official mouthpiece of the president . Not true, she only speaks for the President when she is speaking in her official capacity as press secretary. You can't go and take what she said in her own interpersonal conversations or when she is joking around and claim it was an official white house statement. If Sarah Sanders goes out tomorrow and calls one of her friends an idiot. Will you then go out and report that WH releases a statement calling someone an idiot? That was just totally dishonest reporting by those journalists who carried that news. Even the usually anti Trump CNN shut down that news and gave the correct version of what happened. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 6:23am On Nov 07, 2018 |
Abbeybailey: Yes that was after i posted what I did. The first thing coming out was that he wasn't going to call her to congratulate her but I think some people get to him to tell him none of his agenda is going nowhere without bipartisanship with the Democrats. He can't get a damn thing done in his remaining two years without leaking the behind of Pelosi. That's how politics in america works not brown envelope politics stashed with money in some parts of the world. There was no release from the white house saying trump won't call Pelosi. That's just another fake news by the media. The whole thing came about because Sarah Sanders rhetorically asked some reporters she was talking to "why should Trump call Pelosi"? Some dishonest journalists quickly ran to the public to say that the WH had released a statement saying Trump wouldn't call Pelosi when in fact he had already called her. Note that the facts were actually released by Pelosi herself in reaction to the fake news that was been spread. Her office had to come out and say He had already called her |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 6:10am On Nov 07, 2018 |
Abbeybailey: You and i can wish for that but he is intellectually incapable of doing that. The WH just released a statement that he wouldn't call Speaker to be Pelosi to congratulate her He's so petty. His days will come in 2020 and he ain't seen nothing yet. Team Blue. The bolded is totally false. Trump has actually already called Pelosi and congratulated her |

Abbeybailey: Ok. I guess you are an expert here. The internet is there for anyone to check out the facts. Vermont has not voted for a Republican Candidate in a national election for the past 26 years. Now if that's not a blue state then I don't know what is. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 5:52am On Nov 07, 2018 |
Abbeybailey: Vermont has always been a Purple State but Massachusetts is a Blue State with a Liberal Republican for a Governor. What's so hard to comprehend in that. I live in a Blue State who had a Republican Governor Rauner who lied to us 4 years ago that he would govern for the people but he turned to Trump lite and he lost big today. Vermont is not purple man, it's blue!!! |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 5:45am On Nov 07, 2018 |
Abbeybailey: Vermont is technically a Purple State and Massachusetts is a Blue State who like their governor because he is anti Trump and he's a liberal Republican. Nah man, Vermont is deep blue, so is Massachusetts |

Abbeybailey: Do you know politics in america or you are just firming. Those seats are held by republicans already. . Most governorship states are held by the GOP but for them to keep the governorship seats in Deep blue States and almost all battle ground swing states totally negates your claim of a blue avalanche |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 5:34am On Nov 07, 2018 |

gesundheit: Gerrymandering of districts. You have a point, redistricting really helped the GOP in 2010 as it is helping the Democrats now but if you compare what happened in 2010 and what is happening now, which will you call an avalanche? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 5:20am On Nov 07, 2018 |
Abbeybailey: Once again you are wrong. It's an avalanche in the sense that the Democrats taking the House will halt everything Trump wants to do without collaborating with the Democrats. You only need one house for the Democrats to stop all his plans. Nothing can go forward without the two parties working together. That's the way founding fathers envision it to be and that's why we are not a monarchy. This were your exact words "with the Blue Avalanche running all over America." And I am telling you that you can't say a blue avalanche is running all over America when Republicans are dominating Governorship and Senate races all over the country. It's been a double edged night where both sides can claim victory but you definitely can't call it a blue avalanche |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by garetz: 5:13am On Nov 07, 2018 |
Abbeybailey: I can see our favorite pig a*s lickers on Nairaland are on sabbatical now with the Blue Avalanche running all over America. This is not a blue avalanche, it's not even close to that. The GOP is increasing their majority in the senate and winning majority of the governor's races. The dems are outperforming the GOP only in the house. An avalanche is what happened in 2010 definitely not this |

Abbeybailey: Wrong again. Alaska is not as red as it used to be and Susan Collins from Maine is not in a red state. I don't think you read my post rightly. I said Susan Collins and Murkowski couldn't just support Trump's radical agenda just because they were Republicans. If they did, they would blow their reelection chances at home. So also is it for Joe Manchin, he couldn't join the radical opposition to Trump because he would have lost his reelection race. My point is that many red state house reps will not want to join any radical opposition to Trump because it will affect their reelection chances. Go back and read my post again and you will understand the point I was making |

Abbeybailey: Obviously You don't know anything about the elections here. The Blue wave is Democrats winning the House of Representatives because that's where the financial and other laws in America begins before going to the Senate and President for his John Hancock. We will pick at least 32 to 38 seats in the House and your racist idol is wetting his pants in the Oval Office as we speak. Things are going good for Democrat watching ABC News as I am typing now. You are overestimating the significance of this, the map for the 2020 race for the house will be very bad for Democrats. A lot of those moderate Democratic incumbents that will be defending their seats in red states in 2020 are not likely to join any attempt to radically oppose Trump. Just like Lisa murkowski and Susan Collins for the GOP and Joe Manchin for the dems had to play it safe to safeguard their reelection in the senate. Those red state Democrats who ignored this trend paid a very big price tonight in Senate races. I don't think red state Democratic reps will want to tow the same path |

Lets hope that the slowpoke Walker has bigger politically aspirations. This is a good time for him to jump ship Scott Walker is actually leading the race for Wisconsin governor right now |
