pls my Toyota Sienna, 2004 model is making a sound "kor" when its changing gear. A gear box mechanic was recommended. The mechanic drive tested the vehicle and said the lubricant in the auxiliary has tried and needed to lubricate it to know if the auxiliary is still okay. He bought oil and mixed it with grease and lubricated it, yet the noise has persisted. Meanwhile, the gear shifts perfectly, but only the noise that it makes.

Now, the gear mechanic says the auxiliary is bad and requires to be changed. According to him, the cost is 100,000 naira for a new auxiliary.

What do I really do? Advice me professionally, pls
Replace the mechanic

Me saying you could use 10 hours to fix a 30minutes job is merely an assumption because we know Nigerians like to manipulate situations, I’m a Nigerian but I’ll say Nigerians are to be feared, me inclusive, however there was no misunderstandings wen I visited ur shop, I was quite surprised to be charged over 900k for fixes and part, then I thought to my self the car is just 2.9m - 3.5m for toks and I drove the car with only a noise from my steering from mainland to ur shop, d noise was caused by a mec putting a bigger ac compressor in the car than car’s specific compressor size, as I see the bill, I jejely run ohh, I’ve not mentioned any of such on this forum at all and I don’t intend to soil ur name or biz, I’ll probably delete this post cos I no want trouble or spoil anybody market

Sha I dey acquire new whip soon, Incase I need any parts/servicing I MIGHT contact u and if ur price seems exorbitant I go still run again but I no go drive com ur shop cos I no like to embarrass myself con look like poor man, I no be dangote, but there’s good food on my table

Lol

Also note that the bigger compressor was fixed by a Nairaland professional too, the Nairaland guy try but probably did more harm than good to my car, I no trust anybody again, all man dey claim professional till it gets to the “work the work” part
You must create a balance name the shop or technician involved

Took my car to rada once, they gave me quote, I ran, the quote was almost half the price of my full car and they weren’t fixing much ohh

So if it’s 5k per hour basis, they cld decide to fix a car for 10 hours instead of the 30minutes it would normally take to do the fix? Thereby charging you madly

I doubt I wld be visiting them in the near future
This is not nice sir.

Next time you want to sell a lemon.

Remove all the car markings and stickers
Change the color
Avoid auction cars.
If auction. Remove auctions pictures from site and Google.

If you do this cosplay can not detect anything
Sad truth, 99per of dealers on this forum have never seen the car they sell , they collect pics from seller and post, to tell them to tamper with the vehicle to avoid cosplay is not possible.
