oliverwrites: I will gladly pay this. I currently spend about 13k ( used to be about 35k but supply became poor ) a month on power supply but will gladly pay 90k a month to have 20 hours of power supply.
Currently spending 15k ( about 18 litres ) on fuel if less than half of that is going to electricity bill and I get 20 hours then so be it.
Those I pity are those who don't use the electricity to work. I work from home and need constant supply.
And to be fair, the countries we aspire to be like don't buy electricity as cheaply as we do. My only gross is the bastard politithievans, they will still do rubbish.
Then we should talk . 24hrs of electricity guaranteed on minimum 10k with 6-12kva petrol gen with CNG
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has approved an increase of electricity tariff to N225 ($0.15) per kilowatt-hour from N68. This is a 300 percent hike and takes effect from April 1, 2024.
However, it will be for urban consumers, also known as Band A consumers in the country.
Accordingly, power distribution companies, DisCos, are allowed to raise electricity tariff to N225 ($0.15) per kilowatt-hour from April 1.
The Vice Chairman of NERC, Musiliu Oseni, made this announcement in Abuja
Also, Oseni clarified that the rate increase will only affect 15 percent of the electricity customers in the country.
Oseni also revealed that the 15 percent customers consume 40 percent of the nation’s electricity.
Band A NERC Service-Based Tariff, SBT, scheme classifies consumers based on the number of hours of electricity supply per day.
SBT, introduced on the 1st of November 2020, classifies consumers into Bands A to E as follows:
Band A: Minimum of 20 Hours Band B: Minimum of 16 Hours Band C: Minimum of 12 Hours Band D: Minimum of 8 Hours Band E: Minimum of 4 Hours We will bring you more details on the current electricity tariff hike as they come.
laudate: "Conversion of cars for the public for free," is nothing more than empty propaganda. Please do not peddle this false tale.
Most of the vehicles converted so far, are just for govt ministries.
Even under Buhari, cars were converted to run on Autogas LPG for PPPRA, and NNPC subsidiaries.
Then they claimed that over a million Autogas kits were imported, which was a big fat lie!
Autogas conversion kits are expensive. They run into hundreds of thousands of naira, per vehicle. Not cheap. A few Innoson buses were also converted for Labour, which was less than 10 units.
So for government to offer free conversion to the public, it would cost multimillions of naira, which they cannot do for now.
Finally, you did not answer his question about converting diesel generator to gas. How would this be done?
To the best of my knowledge, only EGORAS in Anambra has been able to do this successfully, with minimal issues.
Compression ignition and spark ignition are 2 totally different systems.
While you can lower the amount of diesel burnt by feeding a blend mix of CNG or lpg , it is still a technology I currently do not subscribe to.
A full conversion which involves , cylinder head swap, pistons, and the introduction of a spark ignition system is a more expensive but stable approach.
jinka: Good day, I'm having issues with my car battery I have used the battery for 3yrars without any problems, just last week I noticed that my battery usually run down anytime I park it for about 8hrs and above. Now what I usually do is to remove the battery head when ever I park it, just recently I noticed it runs down too even after removing the battery head for long.
What could be the problem: - not charging very well? - something drains the battery in the car or ? - the battery not good again?
Pls I need your reply, it has been frustrating me since last weak
My friend mistakenly connected his car battery terminals wrongly. Immediately, headlight came up, stayed, then he disconnected the battery. We interchanged the terminals thereafter but car showed no sign of life. Please, what's likely to breakdown in the car? What's going to be the possible cost of repairs?
josephsm823: Mr Gazzuzz and everyone I salute you all.
Please, I noticed that my Toyota Highlander 2016 jerks when driving for a long distance. For instance, yesterday, I was driving from Lagos to Ekiti. The drive was smooth until I pass Ibadan. The car began to jerk and make it difficult to overtake vehicles on occasion. It jerks frequently and stops for a little before continuing again. I noticed that when this happens, the rpm doesn't move. When I press the gas pedal, it doesn't really have any effect on the rpm and the vehicle won't respond except for the engine. I've changed the fuel pump twice, but this doesn't fix it. No check engine light is displayed at all. This has been happening for a long time, especially when I travel to long distances. It stops when the engine gets cold and restarts when traveling a distance.
3ncrypted: Hello Gazzuzz. I follow with keen interest on CNG. I watched most of the videos you posted on Youtube, including the recent one on Ford F150. Here are some questions I have. 1. Follow the initiative by the government (talking about P-CNGi), has it helped with the costing of converting cars to CNG by any percent? 2. If one wishes to convert his generator and gas stove to CNG as you did in the video, is it possible and what will be the cost? In this case, you are not converting a car, just the stove and generator.
By the way, you are doing a nice job. Cheers
The government through the PCNGI already started by converting a number vehicles in the public sector for free. It is a continuous quiet process that is not heavily publicized reason we all don't get to hear about it. Currently The army is receiving free training and free kits for a number of military vehicles via the PCNGI, gradually it will trickle down in phases as the kits arrive .
For number 2 there are 2 options. One is attaching the cylinders and reducers to a vehicle .
The other is a standalone device which I have invented but not released pending a patent .
The standalone device should become very popular very soon. You can dm on Whatsapp for more info on that .
6 months ago, the Niger state governor, promised to buy 200 CNG buses, His excellency the Gov of Niger State mohammed Bago said that 100 of the vehicles when delivered would be put on the Suleja-Abuja routes, 50 to be used in Minna, the state capital while the remaining 50 would be distributed to other local government areas. The buses have now been delivered in record time.
