the Elantra has been sporting some bad reviews on edmunds in relation to it's bad transmission and laggy performance. I'll like to know how dru23,gazzuzz,carshopper,iyaegin and others have been coping with the car. A Nigerian review will be most helpful for peeps like us that's eyeing to drive one

I agree with the transmission transmission

Am about getting a tokunbo car for someone and the odometer reading showed 89,000 km but after checking on carfax, the actual mileage in Canada showed over 290,000 km though no accident or any other issue.

Will it be safe to buy a high mileage vehicle considering the likelihood of parts getting worned out?

Hellustic:
Hello Oga Gazzuz , Good morning.
sorry to take you off Topic..
i want to replace my Mazda MPV 2003 (V6) plug Coils and the Front Cylinder cover... how can i reach you
the Coils gotten broken and i used glue to hold it... its there any implication to it... i also noticed the Vehicle at times takes 1 sec 2 to react when i press the accelerator.

azpekuliar:
Hi Gazzuz.

I need help with a 2013 Kia Rio. The engine has over-heating problems (a problem with this model if abused).

I have had to replace the top gasket at least 4 times now, but the over-heating problem still persists. After the third time the gasket was replaced (this time with a double gasket) I noticed the engine began to rattle at start-up almost immediately followed by slow start-ups and finally loss of power about 9 months into use. 3 months later blown again. I have replaced the radiator, connected the fan directly yet no respite. Car is parked now. after gasket got burnt a month back. I am being advised to replace the cylinder head entirely to eliminate the problem, as the engine does not smoke, but I am wary.

What do you suggest?

HRtechnique:
I noticed GAZZUZZ best vehicle is the Honda Accord V4.
He likes it so so much.
He talks about it with so much confidence.
I keep wondering why?.
Most people shout about Toyota here and there.
There must be a secret to Honda a lot of people are missing.

However, this ball joint issues is something he rarely talks about.

I admire, like and respect GAZZUZZ anyway.

eghuan1:
Actually I need two units. What's the price and location for pick up and payment

stephendamsoho:
Gazzuzz, abeg I need a trusted escrow you can recommend, I want to buy something on Nairaland

will I get a cut?

limsycutey:
Is it advisable to buy a Nigerian used 2008 or 2009 honda accord? I love the car. I'm just trying to be careful, I was using a 2003 Toyota matrix (bought as tokunbo) before I sold it and that car traumatized me I'm not into the Toyota hype any more apart from that, honda cars have nicer interiors.

chucsmoore:
Toyota Corolla 2004-2007 model best for d job. Rugged and strong. Cheap to maintain. Doesn’t drink fuel at all

limsycutey:
What about 2009 honda accord (sedan, 2.4 version), is the Naija used advisable? If I can get one that has been maintained?
