Alvin007: This issue of integrity reminds me of a deal I once had with a ‘middleman’. I needed funds about year ago and I was ready to sell a foreign used(clean titled) 2012 Toyota Corolla Sport for 4m. The ‘supposed’ buyer started pleading, that all he had is his account was 3.6m… He pleaded and pleaded, until I told him to pay. He suddenly showed up with someone, who I later realized, was the ‘real buyer’. The ‘real buyer’ was begging me to sell at 4.3m and I was dumbfounded. Apparently, I realized that the middleman told him I was selling for 4.5m last. I looked at the middleman and and he winked at me. Later on, the buyer paid 4.3m and they both left with the car. The next day, the middleman called and demanded that I send ‘his’ 700k to him. I did this without thinking about the fact that even I, didn’t make that much profit from the sale of that car. This is how a business man should operate with integrity. So many cases where one ends up choosing ‘integrity’ over ‘greed’.
A lot of people called, one of them came for inspection , he was ready to pay but because he drove to my place alone , he had to return his car, so I gave him 1hr and promised not to sell the car.
He left , another person came and I told him I cannot sell for another 45mins as there was someone before him, he tried and tried and tried I said no.
When it was 15mins to the time, the first person came in. Note none of them had paid.
This is where is becomes Interesting .
2nd buyer offers first buyer ₦750,000 for a car I put up @₦600,000 (both of them are yet to pay) and first buyer rejects
My greedy mind was telling me to ditch the first buyer and collect my ₦750,000
But no.
I took the ₦600,000 from first buyer and called it a day.

erad: Let me try to make you see the trick the seller played.
Before selling the TV, the full risk was on the seller.
He was selling the TV with the full knowledge that it was going to be resold. He needed quick cash and wasn't sure he could sell at a higher price even if he waited. He acknowledged others coming to him were offering the same 400k. He also acknowledged the fact that the buyer had a wider customer base and it was going to be 'easier' for him to resell, might just take time, which was what the seller didn't have luxury of.
Seller agreed to the 400k after negotiations, which the buyer sent, and at that point the seller transferred the risk to be buyer.
So he now has a backup payment, and still used delivery period to buy time to resell a product that had already been bought knowing fully well he is no longer carrying the risk involved with selling the product.
People make bad business decisions every single day. The seller was unwilling to hold on to the product for longer and made a hasty decision to sell at a way lower price. That's not the buyer's fault, he saw a good investment and maximized it. He took a risk, a risk the seller was not willing to take until he got hold of the buyer's funds as a backup.
Only criminals will defend bad business ethics and judgement as being 'smart'.
slizzyb: Gazzuz did mistake everyone one if us has spirit of greed(desires to get more out of little) in us, we just try to tame it. I blame him for not being in possession of the said tv before advertising to sell on higher price. The day I saw his advert not knowing he is not yet in possession of the tv i know the original seller will be feeling bad. Ask urself if you are the seller, let the innocent one throw the stone.. Most of the people saying sh1t to the seller will do worse than that. I'm sure the said buyer will do d same thing, especially when good is sold at a distress price in the first place.

Seriously gazzuzz isn't a good business man, he loves making ridiculous profits in business and it doesn't go well long term business wise. I've been on Nairaland for a long time to see him in mechanic, Uber/bolt, selling of oil, selling cars, seeling parts, and now relocation sells.
He literally destroys these great businesses where ever he goes.
If he can become a good business man and try to sustain a business for years and make a name for himself in that line of business then he'd go really far in life. He's comfortable right now but that's a stepping stone for some people.
He at this stage in his life ought of to have a couple of houses to his name in Lagos, Asaba or awka.
