The first time i visited Gazzuzz was last year. Damn i hated his attitude, he was cocky, arrogant, proud and repugnant.
He comes here cracking jokes but acts differently in his shop.
Infact i hated the way he talked to me when i went to his workplace acting like the god of mechanic and as if i was wasting his time inside my head i was contemplating driving my car back my kazeem.
I have taken my cars twice to his workplace, he is always my last resort.
There is nothing appealing by that attitude |

dokwhot: Please Mr Gazzuzz,I need your help with a honda accord 2001.The car was jerking 2 days ago after accelerating for a while. The mechanic checked and changed the 4 fuel injection nozzles and a new fuel filter,he said they were clogged. The car is moving properly now.But he says there is and we observed a lot of debris, rust in the fuel tank and needs to remove and wash it soon or the problem will return. Is it advisable to do this?Is it done? What are the risks and options? And where is the better market for cheaper honda parts in Lagos?Ladipo or Oyingbo? Thanks for the efficient job you're doing. A 1998-2001 accord has its fuel tank under the rear suspension setup. For a car this old, the chances of taking those parts down seamlessly is very slim, broken bolts and studs are a very common occurrence when replacing such parts.
I wish your mech well but not an easy job for an older car |

Last time your complain was 10,000 diagnosis fee on the honda thread.
I take God beg you stop coming.
It is a good thing I have now identified you.
Remain with your Kazeem.
If you have a problem with my work on your car open a thread.
But when you go to honda place and omoregie motors and any modern workshop, you dont get to meet the very busy owners, you meet staff that are paid to swallow all your crap and say yes sir! I dont have that time.
I did not open this thread to advertise my business.
Stop derailing and open a thread.

Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by GAZZUZZ(m): 8:49pm On Oct 13, 2017 |
we have left uber/taxify matter to start arguing toyota peugeot?
No one is posting earnings again?
As a mechanic and one who has owned both brands, I can tell you about peugeot and toyota from a stand point of experience.
Toyota corrola 2003-2006/7 : wonderful piece of japanese technology.
Lets see some of its good attributes.
Ground clearance: Very adequate for bad nigerian roads.
Suspension: when a corrola that was used well comes into nigeria @ less than 100,000miles, it most times (if not every time) still has the stock CV joints, ball joints, wheelbearings, swaybar links and bushings, and struts. The only parts that would have been changed on a clean titled corrola at that mileage would be brake pads(front)
Now after using for about an average of 20,000miles in nigeria, the common parts to fail on the suspension are swaybar links, sway bar bushings upper strut mounts (total about 20k), . I shit you not, those struts hardly ever fail, and are rock solid if stock in my many years in this line of work I have only replaced the rear struts 2wice.
Engine: unlike the camry 2az-fe that is plagued with the oil shortage issue, the 1ZZ-fe engine is built tough, I have seen stock engines run on 5w30, full synthetic @ 280,000 miles. If a user can be diligent enough to follow manufacturer specification on oil weight, and also use high quality full synthetic oils, I am sure the 1zz-fe will make it to as much as 400,000 miles without issues.
Transmission: same as engine.
Air-conditioning: A/c systems are not designed to run perpetually, like every other part on a vehicle exposed to friction, the A/c system requires a flush and a service at certain intervals to ensure it keeps running fine. Unfortunately a greater percentage of corollas that enter into the country come with front impact which means the a/c system requires some form of work. Trust naija a/c techs, they know how to manage for africa, they cut corners in every possible way by installing wrong parts, and not following proper repair operations. E.g system should be vacuumed and compressor lubricated with ND8 compressor oil preferably synthetic if system has a gas leak sadly 99per of a/c techs do not have a vacuum pump, and they like that 300naira bottle of compressor oil. Another example, system should be refilled with 550g of refrigerant. Most a/c techs do not have a scale or a pressure gauge so they either over charge or under charge the system.
The air-conditioning of the subject vehicle when stock, or maintained properly is extremely rugged and fault free.
Common parts that fail, cooling fan, compressor clutch.
Exhaust system: the catalytic converter burns out at about 120,00-150,000 miles. The exhaust system is solid and not prone to leaks unless you buy a flooded vehicle.
Interior: bland and very basic.
Security: easy to steal if you come with the right equipment. The steering I not so easy to unlock, but as I said with the right equipment....
Parts: every part is available in the market. The most expensive single part is the engine, which hovers for about 180,000-230,000 depending on source and condition.
2nd hand value (fantastic) if well taken care of, you could get almost 85per vale back after using for a year without major damages.
Other good pointers.
Can be worked on by almost any technician, very basic in design.
In summary: small sprinter, very economical, excellent value for money, good handling at decent speeds, easy to fix with very little mechanical knowledge.
Next review, peugeot 407.

kuss: I drive a Toyota Hilux 2011 which i use mostly for travels Last week on my way back to Lagos around Benin Bypass i heard a cracking sound around my front wheel I pull over to check only to discover my 2 front tyres could not move i initially thought it was the brakes that held down i tried to force it to move but the car could not move I have 2 options to tow it to Lagos or call a mechanic I decided to call a mechanic and he said my front axle has knocked but the good news is he can help me to fix it so can manage it to Lagos , i asked him what he was going to do he said he would disconnect the propeller and the front shaft so i will use only the back axle to drive to Lagos and he charged me 15k The mechanic did has he said and i was able to drive it to lagos Now to my surprise the vehicle now feels lighter and consume less fuel My problem now is i intend to travel to wari next week can i still travel with it and what is the implication of driving with only back axle Experts in the house please help thread title is hillarious, thought I would see a vehicle at the edge of a cliff
Meanwhile check rear differential for oil, if there is fire on.
I am of the opinion you killed the front by leaving it permanently on the wrong mode (locked 4X4).
With the rear you are good to go. Just remember not to drive into any loose sand or mud, you will not have the 4x4 option. |

I believe It makes no sense not to allow clients see what you are doing with their cars if they chose too unless you have ulterior motives.
So seeing what you are doing on their cars means free lesson.? You offer free tutorial here but you bar clients from see what you are doing with their cars? Isn't that ironic.
What are you doing that's not on YouTube. Black man with black backward mentality. Bleep you the end. |

He said
You are arrogant Rude to your customer Bad customer service Unnecessarily expensive Know it all attitude. You don't allow clients to see what you are doing so it gives room for Parts on cars to be stolen or replaced. tell him not to come back. This is ask gazzuzz not ask paul.
About the highlighted, I do not offer free classes in my workshop, if you want to supervise your work go to a road side mechanic and sit on his head.
This thread is dedicated to solving NLers issues remotely. If you have a problem with me open a fucking thread.

DaimlerBen: I've not really investigated but, can't one identify the engine type & displacement from the number, same way VIN describes the year & country of production?
Engine type and displacement can be gotten from VIN. Sadly NPF are not that technical.
To be fare to the NPF, a 2007 toyota corrola can come with 5 engine. Variants, 2NZ, 1ZZ, 4ZZ, 2ZR, 1ZR. The engine code does matter. |
