Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State got temporary reprieve Friday when a Rivers High Court sitting in Port Harcourt restrained the Peoples Democratic Party from taking any further action against him pending the hearing of a substantive suit challenging his suspension from the party. The National Working Committee of the PDP suspended Amaechi on Monday citing his refusal to rescind his decision to recall the sacked Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Mr. Timothy Nsirim, and 17 councillors. However, the governor, who was consistently maintained that the council heads were sacked by the State Assembly, headed to court to challenge his suspension from the party. In his ruling, Justice Emmanuel Ogbuji issued a directive stopping the PDP from going beyond Amaechi’s suspension until the matter was heard.
No limit. It all depends on the individual.
Can you marry a ninety eight year old man? or better still can you marry Nelson Mandela now? @OP a ten year age difference is ok because women tend to mature faster than men especially after child birth when they are nursing a baby. You will thus regret marrying a women close to your age. |

KnowAll: if the so called Nigerian elites and leaders, the "cream-dela-cream" of our society can rig a simple election involving 36 individuals then we have some serious issues in that countryThe election was not rigged. They were just disappointed that their candidate lost and they are not prepared to accept Amaechi as Chairman. |
Congratulations!!! I hope he is man enough to face the consequences. |

Jamey Maxwell: Me sef don tyre oooh. When will nta be like cnn or bbc?or even SABC? |
Tolexander: Actually, in my own area, the plaudit reason i think causes the act is most times in the night when there is light, and before waking up the following morning, the PHCN might have off the light. Some people always forget to switch off their light before going to their working place, so when the light is restored, the bulbs will be on till they come back to switch them off.I agree with you also, I also think if you are using a prepaid meter and you are conscious of electricity consumption you will always switch off all electrical appliances when not in use. |
We are coming behind as usual. Probably after the rest of Africa. |
The bizarre aspect of the police finding was that a 23-year old boy I don't think a 23-year old is a boy any longer. |

Seun: Many Muslims don't like rule 17.Meaning what? ![]() |
From the SSA on Internet to President Seun of Nairaland Republic. "For those of you who don't like Rule 17, remember, all animals are equal, but some are . . . Well, I don't GIVE A DAMN!!!! Enough is enough! THREAD CLOSED". |
Seun: My Fellow Nairaland Members,Seun, I didn't want to make a comment until I saw your reaction to Rule 17. Your reaction is VERY DISAPPOINTING. It shows that you are not only a Muslim, but a biased one. Also it shows that your sponsors not "fellow moderators" are biased Muslims. If you don't know what you have just done, consider this. You mean "post anything that could be considered offensive to other religions (Islam excluded), especially in the religions section. It means if I post anything offensive against other religions I will not not be banned, but if I post anything offensive about Islam I will be banned. If you don't know how to re-phrase Rule 17, let me do it for you. RULE 17 RE-PHRASED Don't post anything that could be considered offensive to any religion, especially in the Religion section. |
@ all let us all try to relax (I know its not easy, especially the managers and those who have invested heavily) and get to see how the new rules will be like. As H-don advised earlier on it will be for the better. The only thing is that we can't sell the biz for now and even if you want to sell you don't know how to sell. Lets try to relax. @daroconcepts OATT is Oga At The Top - I know say nobi dat one dey do you now. lol |
