Apc doing it's best to silence all vocal opposition. This is interesting indeed!

Cos I know that there is no Nigerian politician with a clean track record!
so because there's no clean politician d ones caught should be allowed to roam freely all in d name of opposition bah.
my suggestion when pdp av d chance again they shud do d same to apc.

Education / OAU Students’ Protests School Closure On Social Media-punch by gbemmy2k10(m): 9:40pm On Jul 06, 2016
Students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), on Wednesday took to Twitter to protest the continued closure of the institution. The students began the social media and online campaign after The Association of Campus Journalists OAU made the call, in a statement signed by its PRO. The statement reads in part, “We have sampled Students opinion and we know Students want to resume. “We are dedicated to been the masses voice objectively and to this end will not shy away from our duties. “Governing Council has not been constituted at the moment and with feelers we are getting, if students don’t speak out, delay may make the close shut for longer. “With the current pace of events, if Students do not voice out, the break still has long days ahead. “Join us on Twitter and Facebook as we take over the Social media with #ReopenOAU.” The statement asked all OAU students to join the campaign and share their unpleasant experiences while at home. The Punch reports that the management of the institution closed the school indefinitely in June after workers protested the appointment of Ayobami Salami as its Vice Chancellor. Following several petitions by Senior Staff Association of Universities (SSANU) and the Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), the Federal Government dissolved the school’s governing council. The dissolution came a week before students were to resume. link==> http://punchng.com/oau-students-protests-school-closure-social-media/

I quote from late chief Gani Faweyimi, in one of our symposium
at OAU. we argued,That EFCC under baba Iyabo, was set up to fight his enemy.
Chief said the truth is are they corrupt, you and me don't have resources to
prosecute this guys, he has try all of his life to see if he can but no even one. This
guys has bought all this judge. So let Obasanjo fight his enemy, somehow the table
will turn. Enemies will still fight Obasanjo camp somehow. Which is better for all. I
blame GEJ for not using his ancillaries to fight APC. pls let dis selective anti-
corruption continue it will still go round one day.

Politics / Re: Ekiti Youths Declare Support For Fayose,Protest Buhari's Rascality(photos) by gbemmy2k10(m): 6:47pm On Jun 27, 2016
I think one can now conclude that there are some online agents being sponsored to
rubbish and categorise any story about those who gallantly robbed our country as
fables or victimisation. Imagine, any news about those who shamelessly stole are
greeted by some online 'Judas' as victimisation and selective justice. Who are
such people defending? Surely, it is a case of a slave who had fallen deeply in love
with his owner, even like a ram gladly following its killer to the slab. Even in
advanced climes, all the thieves cannot be arrested, but those the society are lucky
to arrest cannot be defending themselves based on the fact that some fellow
thieves are roaming free- that would be the zenith of stupidity. How I wished PDP
had selectively arrested the APC thieves when they were in power, at least, Buhari
would have completed the task now by arresting the thieves from their own side.
Why defending any national thief why we are all in this mess? And to those eager
to celebrate the failure of buhari, what will they gain but further suffering and
hardship? Poverty/power failure/unemployment among others have no respect for
tribe, age, religion or political affiliation. # copied frm one Nlander yesterday

it is however called Stockholm syndrome , or capture-bonding a psychological
phenomenon described in 1973 in which hostages express empathy and sympathy
and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of
defending and identifying with the captors.

This country is now becoming funny and lawless! Why harass a state governor in his state Biko! He should be invited or people involved should be invited
Sowrie for d divergence
Once upon a time -
- The court was invaded by Fayose's thugs and a judge terribly assaulted, it was
normal.
- Governors who had immunity like the President were stopped from entering Ekiti,
there was nothing wrong.
- Fayemi a sitting governor with immunity, was tear-gassed and assaulted by
Mobile Policemen, it wasn't bad.
- 7 members of a 26-member Ekiti House of Assembly impeached a Speaker,
nothing spoil.
- Fayose's supporters ably covered by the Jonathan police blocked All major roads
that lead to Ado Ekiti, it was very vèry okay.
- Now when the account of a governor being investigated for diverting the
commonwealth of his poor & helpless people is frozen.............

Education / OAU Closed Indefinitely Over Workers Protest-punch by gbemmy2k10(m): 6:31pm On Jun 22, 2016
The authorities of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife have shut down the
institution indefinitely over continuous protests by some of its workers.
The Registrar of the university, Dotun Awoyemo confirmed this to our
correspondent on the telephone on Tuesday.
According to him, the management has decided to shut down the university for
the safety of students and staff.
He said, “We have shut down the university indefinitely pending the time that
we will resolve issues with our workers – Non-academic Staff of University
(NASU) and Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (SSANU).
“We have asked our newly admitted students to go home and postponed the
resumption of old students indefinitely.”
It was gathered that old students of the OAU were expected to resume next
week after a two-month break.
Recall that workers of the OAU under the aegis of NASU and SSANU have
intensified their protest against non-payment of allowances and alleged
imposition of a Vice-Chancellor despite the ‘no work’, ‘no pay’ threat by the
university’s authorities.
They vowed to stop the newly appointed VC from resuming office on Friday.
Our correspondent gathered that the protest intensified when the University’s
Governing Council announced Prof. Ayobami Salam as the new VC.
Though the counsel to the university denied the appointment of a new VC at
the Osogbo Federal High Court hearing last Friday afternoon, the Governing
Council on Saturday officially announced Salami.

Politics / Presidency Speaks On Governor Fayose’s Claim On Aisha Buhari by gbemmy2k10(m): 3:57pm On Jun 21, 2016
The Presidency has dismissed as laughable the desperate
attempt by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State to link
President Buhari’s wife, Aisha, to US Congressman
William Jefferson’s bribery scandal for which the
American lawmaker was convicted in 2009.
Reacting to Mr. Fayose’s allegations in a press statement,
the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and
Publicity, Garba Shehu, said ordinarily the presidency
would have ignored Fayose because he was a man
“childishly obsessed with the desire to grab the headlines
and insulting people at will because of his incurably
boorish instincts.”
Mr. Garba explained however that the presidency chose to
respond on this occasion for the sake of innocent
Nigerians who might be misled by Mr. Fayose’s shameless
and blatant distortion of facts.
He said ignoring Mr. Fayose carried the risk of giving
traction and credibility to outright and brazen falsehoods
inconsistent with the status of anybody that calls himself
a Governor or leader.
According to Mr. Shehu, Aisha had no direct, indirect or
the remotest connection with William Jefferson’s
corruption scandal in the United States.
He challenged Mr. Fayose to tell Nigerians if the so-called
Aisha whose pictures he proudly, but ignorantly shared,
was the same Aisha married to President Muhammadu
Buhari, or if the Aisha of his idle imagination had any
relationship by blood or any relationship in whatever
form with President Buhari’s wife.
Mr. Shehu also challenged Mr. Fayose to produce evidence
from the records of investigation and subsequent trial of
Jefferson to prove that Mr. Buhari’s wife Aisha was in
anyway linked to that scandal. He explained that common
names alone were not enough to automatically link
innocent people to crimes or scandals, especially in an era
of identity thieves.
He further challenged Mr. Fayose to show proof when and where Aisha
Buhari was invited for interrogation in connection with Congressman
William Jefferson’s bribery scandal, let alone indicted for a crime locally or
abroad.
According to the presidential media aide, free speech does not entitle
Governor Fayose to falsely accuse innocent people of crimes they knew
nothing about.
He warned Fayose that Aisha Buhari was entitled to protect her reputation
from being recklessly maligned, adding that political opposition was not a
licence to attack people’s reputation brazenly without legal consequences.
