aestake:I understand you o. Yes one person, just me. I’m joining my husband in Canada We didn’t have a choice but to pay that amount so as not to loose the whole flight money if I’m not able to make the flight on Sunday due to the passport delay |
Sleek05:Finally! Congratulations I’m yet to get anything tho, I’ve refreshed my email like a million times since I saw this. I tracked it too, it’s still giving that same response. I’ll keep checking it |
aestake:I guess you’ll need to call your airline. They’ll let you know the next available date and applicable modification fees (to change your flight) plus some other charges depending on the airline That was what we did, the total fee was close to $1000 which is why it’s very painful to not have gotten my passport back since over 6 weeks. My flight was supposed to be on Sunday |
Sleek05:No update o. I’ve had to move my travel date which is quite painful, the extra cost and the additional wait time Please has anyone that sent their passport to Ghana through Lagos vfs in December gotten their passport back? |
Sleek05:Good evening. Seems we submitted around same time, I submitted mine December 13th and the last email I got was 22nd. Each time I track, it says “your processed passport has been forwarded to Canada visa office on 22/12/2022. Did you get any email regarding passports being stuck at Ghana? My travel date is fast approaching and I want to be sure of what to do next |
Good morning house, Please has anyone sent their passport to Ghana through Vfs Lagos between December and now, and gotten their passport back? I sent my passport since December 13th, the last update I got was on December 22nd that “Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 22/12/2022. I called Vfs Lagos last week and I was told my passport is still in Ghana. My travel date is fast approaching and I don’t know what else to do |
Sleek05:Thank you. How long ago did you send yours? |
Good morning house, I got passport request December 12 and I forwarded my passport and all documents to Ghana through Vfs Lagos on the 13th. The last update I got was since December 22nd, when the passport got to Ghana Visa Office. Up until now, I’ve not gotten any update. I called Vfs Lagos last week and I was told my passport is still at Ghana Canada Embassy which is the same information I get when I track it on their website. It says “ your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa office on 22/12/2022” My flight date is fast approaching and I don’t know what else to do. Is there something I can do at this point or I just keep waiting? |

Good evening house, I got passport request letter today!!! Does anyone know the current timeline for submission of passport and getting it back stamped through Lagos, Accra or Kenya? @Dimple10 thank you for your help. I’ll appreciate your input on this if you have any information |
Dimple10:Thank you! |
Dimple10:Cc @Dimple10 An update on this I got my new passport and already sent a webform to Accra. You mentioned that your friend also sent emails, could you please assist with Accra email addresses? To ensure they get the documents since webforms generally take a while. Thank you |
Good day house, Asides using a webform, does anyone know another means to reach out to the processing center in Accra, emails maybe? Basically to update an information regarding my application Thank you |
Dimple10:Thank you very much. I will do as you have suggested. The process of getting a new passport has been dragging for months now but I will try my best to get it and upload before PPR drops |
Hello house, My spousal sponsorship application is on-going and with the way the process is progressing, my PPR will drop soon. The passport I used for the application in May is expiring in 6 days time, but I’ve since applied for a renewal plus change of name. I’m told the new passport will be ready soon. 1. Is there any implication if I get PPR before I’m able to inform IRCC of the new passport and also that I changed my maiden name to my husband’s name? 2. How do I handle passport submission (which of the passports will I submit) and would there be any issues at the POE if my COPR and passport has different last names? Thank you |
GraciousWords:It’s my details that is is meant to be entered. I will check out the links you sent Thank you very much. |
Good evening house I applied for permanent residence (paper application) through the spousal sponsorship route in May. AOR email was sent July ending to my husband’s email because he is my representative. On the 19th of August, IRCC sent three emails to; pay biometrics fee, link my paper application to my GC key account and upload the biometrics payment receipt which I’ll have to do from my account after linking it. But I’ve been unable to link my account till now, it keeps saying no application found after providing all the requested information regarding the application. I’ve sent a webform; got a generic response. My husband has tried calling CIC severally but no agent picks up. This is getting me super worried because without linking the account, I can’t upload the biometric fee receipt. And without uploading the receipt, IRCC will not send biometrics request and my application won’t move forward. Please I’d like everyone’s thoughts on how to resolve this issue. Thank you |
Hello All. I’m about starting my visitors visa application but I’m currently in the process of renewing my passport which will expire in November. Should I go ahead with the visa application now with my current passport and send a webform to them later with the new passport information or wait till the passport comes out before applying for the visa. What should I do please. Thank you |
Thanks for your input. Is there a timeframe that is best for the waiting period before starting the applications? Beverlyhills: |
Kurukuru:Thank you. To clarify, he’s a Nigerian, and we’ve been dating for 3 years. Yes he has been in Nigeria a couple of times since he relocated |
Hello house My fiancé is a Canadian citizen and we are getting married in few weeks. The plan is to start processing my relocation immediately after the wedding. Spousal sponsorship for PR takes 12 months minimum, so we want to try the temporary visa route. I have the following questions 1. How soon after the wedding is it okay to apply for a visitors visa? And can we apply for both spousal sponsorship and temporary visa at the same time? 2. What documents do I need to put together to ensure a successful temporary visa application? Please help. Thank you |
[s][/s]I need some clarifications please. 1. How many months statement of your wife’s account did you submit? 2. Did you submit a PR (spousal sponsorship) application also, alongside the visitors’s visa application? Thank you adeluv92: |
