Those who do not understand the African way of life condemn, or in most cases, look down on whatever they see in our society.
Why do we continue selling our birth rights for a mess of pottage?
We have totally lost the sense of who we are - our identity, value, and essence.
For over 100yrs today, Nigerians became frustrated dependents - existing under the canopy of foreign religions. These religions have shackled us, put us in bondage, enslaved our minds, thoughts, reasoning, and our social, economic and political lives. Our marriage and family system is adulterated and corrupted by foreign influence and values. Lessons taught and learned mold us into parroting zombies.
Ask yourself, ask your neighbor, why do we live our daily lives modeled after the ways and lifestyle of the foreigners? They jilted ours like a plague. We spurned ours like an abomination.
When I told a friend of mine about my idea of reawakening our demising patterns of thought and action(culture), her response marveled me. She said, "go to the shrine in your village and talk to that your so-called gods whether they will respond to you. I'm advising you to watch your steps because worshipping gods will do you more harm than good..." Now, my question is - foreign religions(Christianity and Islam - The opium of the masses) and African religions(which tinctures love, respect and understanding - protected and preserved our forefathers for good number of years before they gave up to ghost), which one does harm than good? No copy can ever be as good as the original, no matter how desired. According to Chinua Achebe, Things Fall Apart; page 141, line 11-19, "But he(white man) says that our customs are bad; and our own brothers who have taken up his religion also say that our customs are bad. How do you think we can fight when our brothers have turned against us? The white man is very clever. He came quietly and peaceably with his religion. We were amused at his foolishness and allowed him to stay. Now he has won our brothers, and our clan can no longer act like one. He has put a knife on the things that held us together and we have fallen apart"
In the first place, does the Christian Church know/tell the truth? It believes in a fictitious God, devil, heaven and hell. And it has no evidence for for them. What truth does it guard? Virgin birth - is it a truth? It's only amoebas that have immaculate conceptions! Why the insistence on immaculate conception just to make JESUS very special being? It's a pity that foreign affairs have taken place of our cultural awareness. Ask a man/woman of 25-30years about the culture and practices of his/her community. The response will epitomize how foreign religions have blindfolded most Nigerians that failed to contemplatively enquire the unfeigned source of their existence...
In the act of obscuring our memories with the ill-starred practices, they termed the God of our ancestors(Chukwu) 'small God' - with lower case alphabets(god) whereas theirs is fabled using upper case alphabets(God).
Foreign religion is the poison killing the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians, likewise the bane of Nigeria development - as a great nation. If we chuck it(foreign religions) out and practise our God given and ordained traditional religion and culture, we shall become truly independent and liberated as individuals - having a common sentiment of patriotism.

lol, please read more on what happened before foreign religion came, And if the African gods are true gods why will they allow foreigners in human nature to preach to people of their own God?....if you never no, go and do much study on how the forefathers wage war between their self for positions and land before the foreigners came., which is still happening in the political system....

First off, they are Carnal Christians, but Christianity is Spirituality, and no Christian working in the flesh, seeing things in the flesh and acting according to what his physical senses mandates is indeed a Christian.

A christian is known not in the days when things are smooth sailing, Christians are known in the days of adversities. When storms are beating you upandan, if you maintain your confession to the end, then you are a Christian.

HISTORY OF SHANGO "GOD OF THUNDER, LIGHTNING & BRIMSTONE"

There are several versions of Shango history but two of these versions are most popular in yorubaland. Namely the secular Shango history and priestly Shango history

SECULAR SHANGO HISTORY

About two centuries ago, there reigned a King in the old town of Oyo (known to early explorers as Eyeo of atunga) which was situated near the south bank of the river Niger to the north of the Yoruba country.

Shango was a powerful and wise monarch. He was a great medicine man (witch-doctor) and was able to kill people by ejecting fire from his mouth. His reign was tyrannical and cruel.

He had two chief ministers of whom he was jealous and set these to fight against each other, hoping both might be slain but he was himself deposed by the one who came off victor in the fight.

Shango fled, accompanied by his three wives, Oya, Oshun and Oba and some of his most loyal followers. He wandered in the bush, being gradually deserted by all until only his favorite wife, Oya, remained.

Then in despair, Shango hung himself from a tree. Oya fled north and became presiding goddess of the river Niger.

Travelers who had seen the body of Shango hanging from a tree entered the town and reported "0ba so" i.e. "the King has hanged himself." This report spread throughout the town.

The friends of Shango were so incensed that they determined to avenge their deceased monarch. They took a number of small calabashes or hollow gourds and filled them with gunpowder.

They then covered them with coconut fiber and put slow matches to them and waited for the next tornado. When hurricane came, they ignited the bombs and threw them into the thatched roofs of many houses.

The resultant explosions and fires caused the panic-stricken people to cry out, "Why are all our houses burning?" The friends of Shango then came forward, saying, "Oh, you said Oba so" "the King has hanged himself"

"0ba ko so!" "the King has not hanged himself". i.e "he is angry with you for this." He has became a god and has gone up into heaven and sent down the lightning to punish you.

You must bring out oxen, sheep, fowls, palm oil......... etc and offer sacrifices to him and henceforth worship him and then he will forgive you."

Thus they established the worship due him as an orisha.

PRIESTLY SHANGO HISTORY

But the Shango story as above will not be acceptable to the priestly house of Koso in Oyo. There the orthodox story is mainly as follows:

Two of Shango wives were very quarrelsome; and there were also a few complaints from the subjects of Shango concerning his tyranny. Shango became angry with everybody, mounted his horse and went into the forest.

For a long time he was expected back but in vain. When he did not return, people feared that he had gone in a fit of temper to hang himself. So they went in search of him; he was not found but his horse was.

The searchers therefore called out; "Where are you, O king? Have you hanged yourself?" To which he replied from a long distance; "NO, I have not hanged myself!" Then come back to us, we want you" they called back.

But he replied; "NO, since there has been so much trouble in the land and so many complaints against me from you all, I will not come back to you; I will now rule you unseen."

So he ascended to heaven by a chain which sprang from a tree. From heaven he have since then manifested his kingship by lightning and thunder.

One can understand why the priestly house of Koso stick to this "orthodox" version of the account of the apotheosis of Shango! Whatever version of the story is told, the important thing is that people became convinced that Shango ascended to heaven and that he became the god of thunder, lightning and brimstone.

NOTE ~ Now that you have read the secular and priestly version of Shango history, so which of these versions do you believe?

The generation of the meek that will inherit the earth will knows and seek the truth about everything.

The War is between the Likeness of God(Human being) and Satan (the god of this world)the Enemy. Satan is spiritual, right in the spirit realm, can used anybody in the natural realm, yeah anybody that is not wiser than him or anybody that fails to study and knows his tactics...be it pastors or not, called of God or not..if anybody fails to understand the enemy, the enemy may prevail over him. The bible gives us many indications of those that started with God and ended with satan.. It is not about the anointing now, it is about wiser than the cunning guy. Disciple Peter has been with Jesus for long, yet satan was speaking through him which Jesus understood quickly, yet peter was like defending Jesus in his statement. Satan can use your mind without you knowing that's why meditation on the word and law of God is necessary. When your mind is full of the truth of the word of God, the battle of the mind will be easy to win when satan try to comes in through the mind.

I have read and heard about many people that started well in the journey of Christianity, even moving and displaying all the spiritual gifts, speaking in sharp tongues, but yet they backslide at some point in time because, they don't really understand the Enemy. Satan can also display spiritual talents, see babalawos and magicians, sorcerers and co. Please are you after the spiritual gifts? Without the spiritual understanding? Without the fruit of the spirit? Without deep revelation of how the world is? Without knowing what brings about tribes, nations, difference in colours? Without knowing the cause of variance in religions, without knowing the links between the demons or small gods? Without knowledge and understanding of the purpose of Christianity?

Please don't be in rush because you can display some spiritual gifts, I will advice you to really sit with your bible and invite the Holy spirit to reveal the secret of this world to you. You must be wiser than the enemy in all aspect without leaving any loophole for him to attract and attack you.
Please don't be spiritually ignorance but be wiser in the spirit.

Faith in the living God can never fail but if your faith is on material things, it will not only fail, it will crippled and eternally shame you....if you are Really A Christian, please define your Faith and work and walk in Faith...Be like the Man Christ, He also spent 9 months in His mother womb as you did, Though He was birthed of The Holy Ghost but don't forget, in the natural Realm, He did not start His work until the Holy spirit rested upon HIM and we also shared in it now, along the line we are born of God, Baptized in the Holy Ghost....if Jesus says He expects you to do more than Him, He means it, He is not someone that is selfish in Glory, Just define your Faith and Be A Man Like Him(Christ). it is always good to be calling ourselves into order at the present for the future. Its good to be consciously reminding ourselves that life is more than the present circumstances. There is time to plant for future harvest, but many youths are missing it, they don't want to plant, all they wanted is to harvest, please what are you sowing brother? What are you sowing sister? It is not new, you already know it, that whatever you planted you will reap, please before blaming God, you should be blaming what yourself on what you sowed because the God I know gives you the opportunity to sow what you wish, He gave you the ability of imagination, it depends on you if you imagine evils or goods..whatever you sowed you will harvest...if you sowed good in patience, you will harvest multitude of goodness which gives everlasting joy, if you hurriedly sow evils, believed me, you will quickly harvest evils which bring everlasting destruction. Please before you sowed, retrace your steps and after much deliberations don't forget to sow for you to harvest.
Sow righteousness and harvest multiple righteousness, sow iniquity and harvest iniquities, you get plentiful of a seed you sow....it's you choice to sow what you like...choice wisely now, don't follow multitude to sow evils. God is never angry, it is whatever you sowed, if you sowed to life you will reap life and if you sowed to death you will also reap it...its your choice jare.

As far as I'm concern, the Church needs a real and powerful change at this dispensation of time, it has pass 2 millennium that the church began and during this time, many pastors, many prophets, many evangelists, many Apostles and many Christians have come, preaching and expanding the gospel, some did it willingly and did it because of their own profit, Some died been active till the end, and some started well but they died as backsliders..Along the years, many denominations arise with different doctrines, each capitalizing on His or her own calling as the best forgetting that the spirit of a prophet is subjected to the prophet. forgetting that because he gets a boom in ministry doesn't means those that suffered for ministry were not called from God...Many servants of God attacking each other because of the differences in what their eyes were opened to, hmmm, Christianity really needs heavenly reformation.

Yeah God sending many of the messengers is for a purpose, is for a reason because this earth was created for a purpose which I will advice any Christians that can read and write and that claim to have the spirit of God in them to start reading and searching for the reason why God created the earth and why there is A promise Land on this same earth for the Israelites so that we will not be lost in religion, if we claimed wee know the God that created the heaven and earth then we should be able to know His purpose of doing creating it and mind you, we quote and says, we have the mind of Christ, if so then it should be easy for us to know the intention of God for creation expect if we are just a mere quoter of scripture deceiving yourself, every word that we can quote or memorise that doesn't mix with faith in our heart is so futile. please, we need to wake up for the Truth and started seeking for the Truth instead of going to church with religious mind set or just because it is Sunday.. when you start to seek for the truth in the scripture and you get it then you will really be the true worshippers that worship God in spirit and in truth...don't forget that the early Jews, Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes of old time were all lost in religion, doing service with pretense...

it is our duty, if we claim to know God, then we need to know the truth...why we have many religions in the world, why the tribes, the enemy in this world, the truth about rapture( believe me many have got it wrong when it comes to rapture, especially those that are seeing visions).
There are so many things to know....what happen in the realm of vision, because the Rapture I know is spiritual…..please read your bible, the end time has started since the days of the early apostles and we are still right at the end time ...And God created this earth to be inhabited by human beings, he created The man Adam with the dust of this dry land( earth), please read you bible, instead of unnecessary arguments between believers, I really get annoyed when the sons of that uncircumcised Satan are speaking against our faith as Christians.....because it is in only Christianity that we can find the way and the truth. please when I talk I prefer telling people to start reading their bible and to start praying because of many that are so quick to judge.

please we are in the season to worship God in spirit and in TRUTH, Because we are the generation of true worshippers....
