Sports / Re: Siasia Wants N15m Per Month To Coach Eagles by GBT(m): 1:23pm On Aug 13, 2010
Which people earn such?

If I was Siasia's representative, I will tell him not to accept anything below $300K, which should rise to $400K if I get Nigeria to the ANC final in 2012 or 2013, and $500K if I win the ANC 2012 or ANC2013.

I will advocate a sign off fee of $500K which should be subtracted from the subsequent salaries.

Any missed payments of salary incurs in a $10K compensation for every 2 week of delay (so 1 day late incurs $10K, 15 days incurs $20K, 29 days incurs $30K and so on).

That is another means of NEGOTIATING but this is the one he chose,

Really he had settled for your option people would have cried blue murder again,
So you see once again whichever way the request for terms of contract was made I STILL WILL NOT BLAME HIM. which you have indirectly agreed to yourself sir.
Sports / Re: Siasia Wants N15m Per Month To Coach Eagles by GBT(m): 1:12pm On Aug 13, 2010
Bruv that was harsh and the stark reality is that people acctually earn such in the country so i dont think it was out of place.

The sign on fee is what is abit high but going by the history of non payment of bonus and salaries with the NFF one will be tempted not to blame him for asking for that amount. Lets not 4get he is asking for it as am sure an agreement will be reached but whatever the agreement i still WILL NOT BLAME THE YOUNG MAN ANYDAY!
Sports / Re: Siasia Wants N15m Per Month To Coach Eagles by GBT(m): 1:07pm On Aug 13, 2010
Deserves what?

Is he on drugs?

He wants  about $1.5m a year, every year over 4 years.

What has he achieved to deserve that?

Even the coach of US doe not get that much.

Anyway, as far as I am concerned, this is unreliable, untrustable news item

Bruv this is really about the negotiation power and his ability to sell himself  simple.

If the NFF agrees they sign him  if not they re-negotiate or all man goes there ways amicably without hard feelings!

Not necessary what he has achieved per say if not Y was larger beer paid that amount, lets forget who was paying him?
Sports / Re: Siasia Wants N15m Per Month To Coach Eagles by GBT(m): 1:04pm On Aug 13, 2010
Bruv that is the power of NEGOTIATION, if they accept so be it and if not they will look for a common ground if not they dissolve the marriage and both parties moves on simple.
Sports / Re: Siasia Wants N15m Per Month To Coach Eagles by GBT(m): 12:50pm On Aug 13, 2010
the guy is a thief

That’s his opinion of his he is entitled to !

Y do you think he does not deserve what he has requested for ? this is about your power of negotiation and what he knows he deserve.

If you know you are what your onions then ask for whatever you think will aid you in the delivery of your task!
HE IS BLOODY RIGHT TO HAVE MADE THE REQUEST simple.

I actually pity Toyin but as a reasonable entreprenuer he should have forecasted this scenero and made provision for such situation.

Meanwhile can some one update me on what Startimes tv is all about and cost implication as i wont mind channeling the subscription meant for HITV TO THEM and unfortunately that of DSTV IS SECURED CAUSE OF EPL
Sports / Re: Siasia Not Competent Enough To Coach Eagles - Amodu by GBT(m): 1:21pm On Aug 11, 2010
Really if the story truely is from Amodu then  i am sad. i dont understand what he meant by due process but he needs to be informed that 5 of Amodus, Austin and Chuckwu can't match Saisa ANYTIME!

HE  SHOULD GO AND FORM AN ACADEMY IF HE THINKS HE STILL HAS ANYTHING TO GIVE AND STOP PLAYER HATING  AS HE HAD HIS PERIODS AND FAILED.

Siasa obvious has his faults just like every human being but inspite of this will do a better job than Amodu. Amodu should learn to know when to draw the line and stop crying over spilled milk.

Autos / Re: 2010 Kia Models! by GBT(m): 3:55pm On Aug 04, 2010
I already contributed to the thread. As I said, the kia rio model made for the nigerian market and distributed by Dana motors (sole rep of Kia in Nigeria) are not ordered with airbags, Instead they are equipped with seatbelt pretensioners.

The reason is price, most pple that buy Kia do so because of the price, the kia picanto and rio are ordered without to keep prices reasonable. No one will buy a kia if the brand is perceived as too expensive for the quality. Believe me, I get a lot of customers asking "in this day and age? A brand new car without airbags? But what can I say, If there's no regulatory body to monitor these things and the nigerian govt cannot be bothered about safety, the distributors will do as they wish.

Funny enough I drive a rio, its cheap to maintain, low fuel consumption and it gets me where I wanna go and believe it or not the Rio is still our most popular and highest selling model.

PLAIN SIMPLE AND TRUTHFUL. Keep it up
Politics / Re: Directors Reject Head Of Service’s Assessment Test- We Rather Be Sacked by GBT(m): 12:17pm On Aug 04, 2010
The scenario is understandable but am sure you will also accept that 2 wrongs never make a right ?
It is in this light that the UNION should have stated there poin and stand firmly and not  be confrontational.
It is better the union comes out with superior argument at all time , the world is past taking up arms at any slight provacation
Politics / Re: Directors Reject Head Of Service’s Assessment Test- We Rather Be Sacked by GBT(m): 12:06pm On Aug 04, 2010
See how dirty your traps are. Please kindly shut it.

If u know about this test in question, you wouldn't advocate for it to be retaken.

These guys are asked to come to Abj from all parts of the federation without any allowance or accomodation provided for them. You can imagine their number. I heard 3 people died the previous time they went for it.

If I may ask, what is the essence of the test since they test is not a recertification or OJT/competency

You propably have a VALID reason there, FIREARM but the issue here is why will they vote for not taking the Test?
Why not asked for a decentralise centres ?
It is illogical for an employee to go against outrightly against an employer, this is why there are Unions and in other cases H.R!
But at no time should they come and be bold to say they would rather lose there jobs than to take the test?
What message are they passing to the public and the children?
What ever issue that meant exist they are old/responsible and mature enough to sort it privately…
Except there is more than it meets the eye!
Politics / Re: Directors Reject Head Of Service’s Assessment Test- We Rather Be Sacked by GBT(m): 11:55am On Aug 04, 2010
i cannot understand their fear for the exams, does it mean that their competence is in doubt well we have young graduate in the street ready to take the exam and take up their job. I suggest the Head of Service draw a battle line on this.

SPOT ON!
Truly this is the reason why we would keep having incompetent hands manning sensitive position when better qualified personnel rot away elsewhere
Car Talk / Re: Will You Buy Chinese made Cars? by GBT(m): 7:03pm On Jul 31, 2010
If they keep at it, one day, we will be buying them.

I remember when I was much younger, my dad and his friends used to laught at those that bought Japanese cars.

Now we love them.

The 20 years ago, no one wanted korean cars. They are not as accepted as Japanese cars but they are no longer taboos.

We don't know what the future holds. Personally, I'm a kind of person that never puts anything down so we may be buying them later.

This is very true Akinalabi and we dont need to wait donkey years as these cars are onthe road and loved/patronised by Intercontinectal bank and some other firm.

I learnt that they usually come in toyota engines maybe they have their own engine variant but it is no dream or fantasy these cars are on the road and depending on the performance might just take over the AUTO MARKET!

And to the question if i would,, Hell yes if it is durable and ecoomically sensible to my pocket
Autos / Re: Want To Bring My Volvo S80 To Nigeria . by GBT(m): 6:44pm On Jul 31, 2010
@sonnie
I don't agree with you that volvos don't have second hand value, but they have low demand. Just like other European cars. They are very great cars. If BMW and M.Benz didn't have franchises here, it would have been the same with them too.

@poster
Since these cars are still in the UK, why not contact Siena to do the conversion for you before shipping to Nigeria? That makes a lot of sense to me.

Kind regards.

MR MONEY. I think Dankiti is spot on and dont listen to anyone advising you to do away with your car.
I have been using my for a year going now and like i earlier said if you have a good maintenance culture then you can not have any issue with the car.
As for the conversion come to think of it since siena is in the UK as Dankiti noted then that will be the best bet as am sure he will carry out a perfect job and you will not have to worry about any one trying to cheat u or manage material as siena is a through dude.
As earlier said please bring it on and let others know that the car is a strong car dont forget it won the best /safest car when it car out.
It is 10 years now the model came out but it is still strong and a BEAUTY TO BEHOLD
Autos / Re: Want To Bring My Volvo S80 To Nigeria . by GBT(m): 3:56pm On Jul 31, 2010
Mr Money, there is no issue with the car as i can tell you first hand. I currently own a t6 same colour exterior and same interior colour.
On my account a friend at work also got his same colour from the state, though i got mine from some dude here on NL eventhough i can not advise my enemy to go thru this chap .
Performance is sweet fuel economy is o.k but not comparable to Toyota and honda as i currently use the three brand.
The work rate is very good and part are readily available from dismantled cars at Ladipo and i know if it is use you wuld have kept a clean service history?Down here you need to run the service wit mobile one at any mobil station as this is how i run my and servicing is down 3/4 a year depending on the useage.
You ca not go wrong with servicing with the boys at mobil even INSPIRED motors can testified to this fact.
You can also get good mechanic to keep your car on the road always when there is an issue and like you know the car hardly has one once properly serviced for the dude to convert i can advise on where to go in Lagos.
You can indicate interest if you want me assistance.
Bring the baby into the country and swell the growing volvo lovers[img][/img] wink

I completely agree with him but my fear is
• What is bringing to the table
• He was a product of a mad but sometime effective individual
• How does he intend to go about making the required change in all sectors?
• If and when he gets there will it be the rule of law or “ end justifying the means”

Mr. Jibiti, how is anyone to trust what you post with a name like that?

Why all the noise about so called individuals? If they have done good /right for the society then they should not fear to go and meet there creator and why all this high level investigation left right and centre ?
It only show the extent of decar in the system where for whatever reason the so call policeman cannot arrest both the Governor ( really it is high time, this bleached dude is arrested for mismanagement ) and the dog of a business man!
Autos / Re: Volkswagen Cars And Toyota Cars by GBT(m): 1:13pm On Jul 09, 2010
Well in terms of engine they are equally good, the difference is just that a VW is more sophisticated, and does not tolerate roadsides and quack mechanic. safety, VW is far better. Second hand value, go for toyota. Ruggedity it is VW, but reliability it is Toyota. Parts, it is relative, some VW are very cheap and some are quite expensive, just the same way it is with toyota. presently i drive a VW bora, with friends driving toyota.

Pappee HAS SAID IT. I once had a passat 03 V6 very pretty low profile all black exterior and interrior but some drunk dude ran into my wife on the 24th of dec and then i found out how expensively silly priced the parts were. Altenatively which i have found to be the best as there are hardly good/original parts in the market so you can take the pain to order the part and just get a good mechanic to remove and replace the part and please with VW, THE SYSTEM HATE GUESS WORK!
While for Toyota parts, i have found are readily available inthe market and the auto traders all loves to bring in there partsas it moves fasters.

Volkswagen have prettier design when compare with Toyota
Volks dont have good second hand value when compare with Toyota
Volks are rugged
Volks are heavier and have better gizmos
Toyota because of the siimplifier engine system are more reliable
Toyota, Miles to Gallon is the most pocket friendly
Toyota have more hands around the corner that can take on the car, when it breaks down

So it really depend on u as to why you need a car bruv?
