Sports / Top 5 Shortest Players In The World 2020 by Gcleaf(m): 9:27pm On Jun 06, 2020
On our journey to compile the most accurate list of shortest football players of all time, we came across plenty of inaccuracies and historical evidence to make this a challenging proposition.

The criterion for selection was that the footballer had to have played some sort of professional football during their career. This would be fitting to answer the eternal question.

In this segment, we take a look at 5 of the shortest players of all time.

1. Elton Jose Xavier Gomes

Height: 1.54 m ( 5 feet 0.63 inches)

Date of birth: 7 April 1986

Country: Brazil

Elton Jose Xavier Gomes stands at 1.54m, which puts him at an incredible height of 5 feet 1 inch. He currently plays as an attacking midfielder or left midfielder for Clube de Regatas Brasil in the Brazilian Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B.

He started his football career with Corinthians in 2004. After enjoying a loan spell at Sao Caetano in the 2006 season, he left Corinthians in 2007. He signed for Steaua Bucuresti in 2007 but did not stay there for long. That same year, he moved to Saudi Arabia outfit, Al – Nasr, where he stayed till 2009.

From Al – Nasr, he went gallivanting around, signing for a series of club sides which include Fortaleza, Dubai Club, Sport Recife, Al – Fateh, Mesaimeer, Al – Qadisiyah, before finally settling down at CRB. He tops our list of the shortest footballers in the world.

2. Daniel Alberto Villalva Barrios

Height: 1.54 m (5 feet 0.63 inches)

Date of birth: 6 July 1992

Country: Mexico

Daniel Alberto Villalva Barrios is 1.54 m (5 feet 0.63 inches) tall and is at no. 2 on our list of the top 10 shortest soccer players. He is from Argentina and is a striker for Mexican club Querétaro. Villalva is the shortest player in the team and was also the youngest player to play for River Plate.

He is 21 years old and has also played for Argentina in the 2009 U-17 World Cup. Despite his small body he has been able to come up as a competent footballer the team could ever have. He is definitely the youngest and the shortest soccer player in 2020.

3. Marcin Baruch

Sports / 5 Record Of Ronaldo Nearly Impossible For Messi To Break by Gcleaf(m): 10:05pm On Jun 02, 2020
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the all-time greats of the beautiful game and throughout his illustrious career, he has set numerous records. However, these five records held by the Portuguese ace that may never be broken.

1. Most goals in a single European Cup campaign (17 goals, 2013/14)

We said the top five was mighty tough to rank and choosing a number one was nigh on impossible.

But how could it not be this ridiculous goal scoring accomplishment?!

Many thought the concept of 15 goals by one player in a single Champions League campaign was outrageous, but Ronaldo did just that and added two more on top for good measure.

He is the only man to reach the 15-goal mark in the competition and he's now done it on three separate occasions, including four goals in finals!

We gave it our best shot but in reality, any of the top five would have been a worthy number one.

When Ronaldo calls time on his career - which looks a fair distance away - what other records will make the list?

One that will all matches
tainly feature is the Portuguese being the highest scorer in the history of international football. Just 11 more goals needed to break Ali Daei's record of 109 for Iran...

2. The only player to have won all individual and team honours at two different .

Ronaldo is the only player in history to have won all individual and team accolades with two different teams, having done so at both Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The Portuguese ace has won the Champions League, domestic league, domestic cup, domestic Super Cup, Ballon d'Or, World Player of the Year, Golden Boot, and World Club Championship at both clubs in the course of his illustrious career.

The only player who came close to the record was

Zinedine Zidane , who almost won every honour with Juventus and Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Argentine skipper Lionel Messi has only achieved the feat at Barcelona.

3 Scored 300 La Liga goals in just 286 matches

Sports / Top 10 Goalkeepers With Most Clean Sheet In EPL 2019/2020 by Gcleaf(m): 11:57am On Jun 02, 2020
As a result, the Premier League is home to some of the world’s finest shot-stoppers with clubs looking to maximise the marginal gains a competent goalkeeper can bring to the table.

However, measuring a goalkeeper’s importance is a tricky task. Some weighting is clearly given to the amount of sav they make, but those who represent teams fighting relegati are usually busier than those in a title race.

Clean sheets are also far from a perfect metric given that t calibre of finishing in England’s top tier can often see a goalkeeper’s record muddied through no real fault of their own.

Whichever side of the fence you’re on, has you covered. We’ve put together a list of Premier League goalkeepers with the highest number of clean sheets in 2019/20 seaso so far – as who will be in with a shout of winning the Golden Glove award.

Name : Nick Pope

Club : Burnley

Clean sheet : 11

Nick Pope is a Goalkeeper who has appeared in 29 matches this season in Premier League , playing a total of

2610 minutes. PBecker
ncedes an average of 1.31 goals for every 90 minutes that he's on the pitch. His Clean Sheets ratio is currently at 38% . That means Pope has kept a Clean Sheet in 11 matches out of the 29 that he's played in.

Pope scored a total of 0 goals so far this season in the league, which places him at 19th in the Burnley squad's Top Scorers list.

2. Name : Dean Henderson

Club : Sheffield united

Clean sheet : 10

Henderson has recorded 10 clean sheets this season, with only Burnley's Nick Pope (11) on a better figure. If he wins the golden glove, he'd be the first goalkeeper outside of United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to ever earn the award in its 15-year history. De Gea has only managed it once. Edwin van der Sar only did it once.

It's clear that United have an absolute gem on their hands.

The summer transfer window will bring its usual host of decisions, dilemmas and difficulties for United. Dean Henderson's future should not be among them.

It's a no-brainer for Solskjaer, Ed Woodward and the United decision-makers. They have a ready-made superstar from their academy with a proven track record of performing in the Premier League. It's transfer utopia, though maybe not for De Gea.

3. Name : Alisson Becker

Sports / Premier League : 14 Legends Who Moved To England Too Late by Gcleaf(m): 5:27am On May 31, 2020
Premier League fans have got to witness some of the world’s best players over the years – but other brilliant players moved to these shores simply too late.

Some arrived well past their best years and left a legacy on these shores far different to that which they left elsewhere, while other players were brilliant even after arriving England late in their career but just left us wishing we’d seen more of them.

Here is a selection of players from both categories, who for one reason or other we’ll rue for not moving to the Premier League earlier.

1. George Weah

On 12 January 2000 Chelsea signed a Ballon d’Or winner on loan and he made an instant impact.

George Weah had become the first African player to win the old version of the Ballon d’Or, when he was crowned European Footballer of the Year in 1995, as well as claiming FIFA’s World Player of the Year award that same year.

After five years with AC Milan in Serie A, the Liberian was tempted to Stamford Bridge in January 2000 by the Blues’ Italian manager, Gianluca Vialli.

And Chelsea fans didn’t have to wait long to find out if the 34-year-old Weah still had it, because he was given clearance to play for the club on the same day he signed, in a London derby with Tottenham.

Vialli brought Weah on as a substitute with half an hour to play and he duly scored the only goal of the game with three minutes left.

“It’s a good beginning,” said Weah. And it was soon to get even better, as he helped Chelsea reach the FA Cup final.

Having scored five goals in 14 matches for the club, Weah started the FA Cup final against Aston Villa – the last final to be played at the old Wembley – and helped the Blues win 1-0.

It turned out to be his last game for Chelsea, as Weah was snapped up by Manchester City later that summer.

A spell with Marseille followed, before Weah wound down his career in the United Arab Emirates.

Here’s a reminder of how good Weah was, as he scored the winner and created Chelsea’s other goal in a 2-1 win over Leicester, en route to FA Cup glory 16 years ago.

2. Edgar Davids

One of the most recognisable figures in world football, The Pitbull joined Tottenham in 2005 after over a decade of dominating midfields around Europe.

And he was decent in the Premier League but just not the Edgar Davids, helping Spurs to two fifth-placed finishes before returning to Ajax and then being worse than Shaun Derry at Crystal Palace.

3. Esteban Cambiasso

Sports / Top 10 Best Uefa Champions League Finals Of All Time by Gcleaf(m): 5:01am On May 31, 2020
1. Liverpool vs AC Milan, 2004/05

You knew it was coming.

As painful as it might be to listen to Liverpool fans bring up the 'Miracle of Istanbul' as often as possible, they do so with very good reason. Their miraculous comeback victory against AC Milan, is the single greatest Champions League Final of all time.

3-0 down at half time with a team featuring Djimi Traore and Milan Baros, up against a Milan side boasting the likes of Kaka, Paolo Maldini, Andrea Pirlo and Andriy Shevchenko to name but a few - the Reds' talismanic captain almost single-handedly dragged his team back to 3-3.

2. Bayern Munich 1-1 Chelsea 2012

FC Bayern Muenchen v Chelsea FC - UEFA Champions League Final

Elated Chelsea players in 2012

Played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, it was technically a neutral venue but Chelsea found themselves playing in front of huge swathes of red Bayern support nonetheless.

Bayern dominated proceedings and had a host of chances which they failed to convert, Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben being the prime culprits. They broke through in the end when Thomas Muller headed home in the 83rd minute to send the stadium into raptures. It looked as if Bayern would negotiate the win, but Didier Drogba with his stellar cup final record had other ideas. He thumped a powerful header past Manuel Neuer and leveled for the Blues, sending the game into extra-time.In the extra period, Drogba was involved again as he felled Ribery in the box. Petr Cech came to the rescue, saving from Robben's penalty. Chelsea prevailed in the penalty shootout owing to Cech's brilliance and Drogba fittingly slotted the decisive kick to take Chelsea over the line.

Sports / List Of African Players Who Have Been Nominated For Ballon D’or Award by Gcleaf(m): 2:40pm On May 29, 2020
The centre of the park, the engine room, the place where it all happens. The team with the best midfielders tends to win the match, and this raises the all-important question – who are the best midfielders in the world at the moment:

1. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne isn’t the best footballer in the world, but he’s arguably the most complete. Creative, powerful, skilful and dynamic, the Manchester City man can pass, shoot, dribble, tackle and cross – and all with either foot.

The Belgian contributes in every phase of the game; he has the technical ability of a luxury player without being anything like a luxury. He’s the key man in a star-studded Manchester City side, as demonstrated by a remarkable return of nine assists in 13 Premier League appearances so far this season.

2. N’Golo Kante (Chelsea)

Kante is a different type of player to the majority of his peers listed here, but he’s undoubtedly one of the world’s top midfielders. A two-time Premier League champion and World Cup winner, the 28-year-old has made ball-winning fashionable since he played an instrumental role in Leicester’s title triumph of 2015/16.

Quick, tenacious and intelligent, Kante is so much more than a sitting midfielder who patrols a small area of the field. The Frenchman was entrusted with a more advanced role by Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea and has continued in that position under Frank Lampard, popping up with the odd goal and demonstrating that there are considerably more strings to his bow than many first thought.

7. Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona)

Sports / Top 5 Greatest Goal Keeper In Africa History by Gcleaf(m): 1:57pm On May 29, 2020
A look into the past helps us to realize how far we have gone. If we recall our football memories, we will definitely remember the heroics of some of the guys who helped in pioneering the display of African talents to the world's consciousness.

Today, we are taking a look at five of the greatest goalkeepers that have emerged from the African soil in football history.

The list is based on their performances, achievements and magic moments with both their National teams and their various football clubs. Check them below:

5. VINCENT ENYEAMA (NIGERIA)

Vincent Enyeama’s rise to prominence started when he joined Enyimba International FC in 2001. There, he backstopped the club to three Nigerian Premier League titles and back-to-back CAF Champions Leagues in 2003 and 2004. They’re the only Nigerian club to be crowned continental champions, and Enyeama received Champions League Player of the Year honours in both campaigns.

Enyeama also saw success in Europe. He won league titles with both Hapoel Tel-AvZimbabwe)accabi Tel-Aviv, and during the 2013-14 season, the then-Lille goalkeeper came within 114 minutes of equalling Gaëtan Huard’s Ligue 1 record of most consecutive minutes played without conceding a goal.

As Nigeria’s joint-most capped player with 101 caps, Enyeama was named Man of the Match in two of Nigeria’s 2010 World Cup games; against Argentina and against Greece. He also backstopped the Super Eagles to glory at the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

Enyeama has been a free agent since August 2018.

4 Carlos Kameni(Cameroon)

Idriss Carlos Kameni is a Cameroonian professional goalkeeper who plays for Spanish club Málaga.

He spent most of his career in Spain, majorly with Espanyol, where he appeared in 229 official matches for the club in eight La Liga seasons.

After making his debut on the international stage before the age of 20, he has represented his country in two World Cups and five Africa Cup of Nations competitions.

Carlos Kameni was part of the Cameroonian national team squads in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, starting in all the tournaments but the first.

Moreover, he also represented the national side at the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup, also as the first-choice for the subsequent runners-up.

In 2002, when he was aged 18, Kameni was selected for Cameroon’s squad of 23 at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

He was awarded Best African Goalkeeper for 2006–07, after finishing as runner-up in the previous season.

However, his career came to its highlight after he joined Malaga in 2012.

He broke many records and he became the first Malaga goalkeeper to provide an assist in the Spanish top division, as Charles scored the second of his three goals in a 3–1 home victory against Real Sociedad.

He also broke countryman, Thomas N'Kono's record of 497 minutes without conceding a goal.

7. Sam Ibiam:

cut an incredible reputation as the goalkeeper players can’t beat with the ball. He conceded only 9 goals in six years of his career in Nigeria. Started his career with Calabar XI in 1946, Port Harcourt XI in 1949, and won the Governor’s cup with Railway FC, where he starred with Teslim ‘thunder’ Balogun in 1953.

Ibiam became Nigeria’s first international goalkeeper on the trip with UK tourists in 1949. He took over from Isaac Akioye as a reserve goalkeeper and was in goal for Nigeria throughout the tour, except for the first game.

Ibiam also became the first player to venture outside Nigeria when he signed for Accra Great Olympics of Ghana in 1956.

6. Inua Lawal Rigogo:

the story of rigogo remains a myth. He is perhaps the greatest goalkeeper Nigeria ever had. Though, many believed that he employed charms with the way he flies from pole to pole and made some incredible somersaults that can't be ordinary. Ghana's president Kwame Nkurmah once described him as a 'flying cat'. Conceded only 4 goals over his 8 years career between 1960 - 1969.

5. Peter Fregene

Culture / History Of Orona Festival In Ilaro, Ogun State by Gcleaf(m): 6:40pm On May 26, 2020
Ilaro was founded in the 18th century by Aro who migrated from the Oyo town to settle down in Igbo Aje, a little hill situated at the centre of the town from where he and his warriors could sight enemies (mostly slave traders from the neighbouring Benin republic known then as Dahomey) on attack from a long distance. Aro himself was a warrior and a hunter to be reckoned with. Ilaro had her name from "Ilu Aro" meaning the settlement of Aro which later became Ilaro for ease of pronunciation. Ancient Ilaro town was blessed with great farmers, hunters and warriors out of which Orona and Osata ranked the files of Ilaro history.

Social amenities in Ilaro town include: government-owned and privately owned hospitals, government-owned dispensaries, public libraries, electrical plants, water works and road networks linking the town with other towns and even neighbouring country, Republic of Benin. There are quite a number of hotels of quality spread over the town. In January, 2009, Governor Gbenga Daniel commissioned the Ilaro International stadium. The stadium is capable of hosting international and national sports competitions

Sports / Top 5 Great Footballers Who Never Played In A World Cup by Gcleaf(m): 5:33pm On May 24, 2020
The FIFA World Cup is watched by over 3 billion people and provides the biggest stage of all for the world’s best footballers. However, for a variety of reasons, some of the elite players never get a chance to take part in the greatest soccer show on earth. Here are 13 of the best:

5. George Weah (Liberia)

The Liberia international was one of the most feared strikers of his generation and went on to win a Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain as well as two Serie A titles during his time in Italy. He first burst on to the European football scene under the stewardship of Arsene Wenger, who was at the helm of Monaco from 1987 until 1994.

However, hailing from a small African country Liberia, who have never qualified for a World Cup, meant that Weah never got the chance to showcase his skills at the highest level of international football.

4. Ryan Giggs (Wales

Sports / History Of Real Madrid Football Club (pictures Below) by Gcleaf(m): 4:02am On May 22, 2020
Despite winning the Champions’ League in 2002, the Galácticos policy never fully succeeded and it was no real surprise that, after a rapid succession of managers had come and gone, Pérez himself was replaced as president in July 2006 by Ramón Calderón. His first actions were to install Fabio Capello as manager and former player Predrag Mijatovic as director of football. Capello managed to repeat his feat of 1997 – winning the league and then being sacked for not producing an attractive enough style of play. His successor, another former player, Bernd Schuster, won the league in his first season – the 31st title for the club; the first consecutive league title winners for 18 seasons; and a record number of points for La Liga compiled in the process.

Two defeats -- at home in the past week -- to archrival Barcelona, the yin to their yang, had meant Real Madrid were out of the Spanish Cup and, barring divine intervention, out of the race for the Spanish title. The Champions League was all they had left. It is the biggest prize in the club game and a competition they had won four times in the past five years. Making it five out of six seemed unthinkable, but then, so did winning three straight, and they had managed that feat the year before. In a season when there is no dominant European club, Real Madrid had reason to hope despite their struggles elsewhere.

Form after RonaldoPost the Cristiano Ronaldo era, Benzema is leading the line for Real Madrid with little competition for a starting berth. This season, he has managed to score a total of 31 goals across all competitions and is the second highest goal scorer in La Liga with 21 goals, only behind Lionel Messi. Karim’s finishing abilities had been doubted over the past 9 seasons when Ronaldo was there as he was doing more of the creating but he is beginning to show his natural skill which is to sag nets. With 5 matches to go, the Real Madrid forward is on course to outscore all the traditional forwards in the league, i.e. the number 9s, precisely what is expected of strikers at Real Madrid.

The AccoladesThe talk of the best in modern day football involves the individual contribution and the collective achievements won by the players. The debate about Messi and Ronaldo boils down to Ballon d’Ors and UEFA Champions League crowns.

Although Benzema is yet to win the Ballon d’Or, he has done the most in winning everything winnable at club level. The table below shows Benzema’s achievements in comparison with other Real Madrid players in his position.Name UEFA Champs La Liga FIFA Club WC Total AccoladesBenzema 4 2 4 10Di Stefano 5 8 1 14Raul 3 6 2 11 To date, Benzema has a total of 10 major trophies just 4 shy of Di Stefano’s achievements.

This is promising for the striker who has just turned 31. He looks indispensable at the heart of the front line and with Zidane returning to the club, his fortunes look promising. Furthermore, the eras in which these players played for Madrid is different. Di Stefano and Raul were privileged to play in an era when Real Madrid was dominating domestically. The level of competition from the rivals was not as stiff as of the present day.

That said, Benzema is at a disadvantage and has to inspire his team to change the narrative. Individual StatsThe most interesting part for some. The numbers that reflect the individual’s contribution to the game.Name Goals Scored No. of Appearances Benzema 222 462 Di Stefano 323 741 Raul 308 396 From this, it is evident that Benzema has the least compared to the rest. However, this does not take anything away from his individual contribution as he was playing with Ronaldo, and made sure that the player became the greatest goal scorer Real Madrid have ever had.

Sports / Arsenal Top 5 Goal Scorers Of All Time (pictures Below) by Gcleaf(m): 3:52am On May 22, 2020
List of all-time Arsenal top 5 goal scorers? Here are the top 10 Arsenal top 10 goal scorers of all time list. Below is our list with the Arsenal top 10 goal scorers of all time:

Thierry Henry – 228 goals

Thierry Henry is the only player in Arsenal's history to reach the 200-goal mark.

His overall tally stands at 228 goals.

The Frenchman scored his 200th on this day in 2006, against Birmingham.

Thierry Henry is the best striker to have ever played for Arsenal.

He might be the best player overall, but that depends on just how much you love Dennis Bergkamp and Tony Adams.

Anyhow, what is indisputable, is Henry's goalscoring record. The Frenchman was banging them in left, right and centre for eight seasons at Arsenal - before coming back for a short spell in 2012, and marking his return with a trademark finish against Leeds.

14 years ago to the day our number 14 scored his goal number 200, away at Birmingham. And we really need little to no excuse to post anything Thierry Henry-related, so here you go.

Henry went on to score 228 goals for the Gunners (229 if you count in that Sunderland goal - which the Premier League accreditation panel didn't). His goals-to-game ratio was insane, matched only by Sergio Aguero recently . Even Alan Shearer, Andy Cole and Wayne Rooney scored at a lower rate.

Henry's assist record in the league still stands, in the meantime. Kevin De Bruyne is chasing it yet again this season - let's see if the Belgian has better luck this time around.

2. Ian Wright - 185 goals

After impressing on trial at Selhurst Park he then signed his first professional contract just before his 22nd birthday.

Wright went on to score 117 goals in 277 appearances for the Eagles, making him their third-highest goalscorer ever.

Arsenal came calling in 1991, paying a club record fee at the time of £2.5million.

Wright spend seven seasons in north London and was the club’s top scorer in six of those campaigns.

He found the back of the net 185 times in 288 games for the Gunners.

The striker left Arsenal in the summer of 1998 and had brief spells at West Ham, Celtic and Burnley before calling time on his career in 2000.

Wright also earned 33 caps for England, scoring nine goals.

Since retiring, Wright has found success working in television and radio.

3. Cliff Bastin - 178 goals

Sports / Reasons Why Premier League Is The Most Watch League All Over The World by Gcleaf(m): 11:40pm On May 20, 2020
The Bundesliga has recently become fashionable and boasts the reigning European champions. La Liga currently plays host to the vast majority of the most recent World Cup winners as well as the two most outstanding players of this generation.Despite all this, the English Premier League remains the most powerful league in the world. It is easy to snipe at the Premier League for its perceived lack of quality and uncultured football, the unrelenting influx of foreign players and owners and the constant failure of its home nation to make any impact on the international stage.

But nearly 22 years after its launch, the Premier League is still the template for all others for generating both the most wealth and the most excitement around the world. It derives most of its power from the simple truth that more people want to watch it than any other league. On average, each Premier League game has a global audience of 12.3 million people, per Football-Marketing.com's 2011 data, which far outstrips La Liga, the Bundesliga and Serie A.In fact, if you added together the average global audience per game for these leagues—La Liga with 2.2 million (via EPFL-Euroleagues.com), the Bundesliga (via 2012's economic report) with two million and Serie A (via Alessandro Baroncelli and Raul Caruso) with 4.5 million—it still wouldn’t overtake the all-powerful Premier League.

As reported by the Daily Mirror's Martin Lipton in 2011, the German-based SPORT+MARKT found that the Premier League commands the biggest television audience in the world. Based on the 2010-11 season, the Premier League’s cumulative audience was an enormous 4.7 billion people in 212 countries and territories, per PremierLeague.com.

This exposure gives the Premier League an unprecedented power to negotiate both its centralised television-rights deal and the clubs' individual sponsorship deals.

The Premier League’s television-rights deal overshadows all its European competitors. At the start of the 2013-14 season, it began a new domestic television deal worth £3.018 billion for the next three seasons, a vast £1.25 billion increase over the previous deal. The rest of Europe lags behind the Premier League, with Serie A commanding £721 million, La Liga £511 million and the Bundesliga £417.4 million.

Health / The Great Mistake Smart People Makes by Gcleaf(m): 12:29am On May 20, 2020
“Motion is when you’re busy doing something, but that task will never produce an outcome by itself. Action, on the other hand, is the type of behavior that will get you a result.”

There is a common mistake that often happens to smart people—in many cases, without you ever realizing it. The mistake has to do with the difference between being in motion and taking action. They sound similar, but they’re not the same.

At Zillow we all go through the Insights training. Mine said that I “take on too much but somehow get it all done on time.” This nailed it. Because of this, I tend to expect a lot from those who work for me. If someone doesn’t step up to get things done fast enough for me, I’ll do them instead just so that work gets shipped. I have very little patience for procrastination or overthinking as I closely ascribe in a lot of ways to Facebook’s “shipped is better than done.”

In fact, Zillow has a core value of “Move Fast. Think big.” We believe in rapid action and trying many things to get to ttrust
ght answer. The problem with my approach and way of being is when someone or a certain role calls for being a bit more deliberate. I personally have very little patience for a 45 minute meeting that has no resolution. That’s a wasted 45 minutes for me. However, sometimes things call for being discussed for 45 minutes to get to the right solution.

So what does one do as a 10x boss who recognizes that they could be overdemanding? I’ve developed a few strategies. Abstain From Meetings One of the hardest parts about being a manager is learning when you don’t need to be in a meeting. Meetings on your team can happen without you being present in the room once the people, or the person leading the meeting, has earned your trust

Sports / Top 6 Players To Score Hat Tricks Goals In Premier League by Gcleaf(m): 12:17am On May 20, 2020
Since the inception of the English Premier League in 1992-93, more than 100 players have registered hat-tricks. 36 different players have scored 3 or more goals in a Premier League game on multiple occasions.Of the 20 players to have scored more than 3 goals in a Premier League game, the quintet of Andy Cole, Alan Shearer, Jermain Defoe, Dimitar Berbatov and Sergio Agüero share the record of scoring most goals in a Premier League game (5 apiece).Eric Cantona scored the first Premier League hat-trick when the Frenchman scored thrice in a game for Leeds United against Tottenham Hotspur. Since then, players from 42 different nations have registered three (or more) goal hauls in the Premier League.148 hat-tricks by English players in the Premier League is the most by players from any nationality, while 17 hat-tricks by Argentine players is the most by players from a non-European nation. Let us now meet the top 6 players with the most Premier League hat-tricks:

6. Michael Owen

Club Liverpool

Hat tricks 8

A player who was once the blue-eyed boy of English Football, although Owen is now known more for the

ridiculously stupid things he says as a pundit. However, in his youth, Owen was a tour de force – combing electric pace and deadly finishing ability to devastating effect.

Owen burst onto the scene with Liverpool as a precociously talented 17-year-old, before going on to light up the 1998 World Cup in France with England just a year later.

Sadly for Owen, persistent hamstring injuries gradually robbed him of his speed and by the time he left Anfield for Real Madrid in 2004, his powers were already on the wane. The 40 goal England international would return to the Premier League just a year after moving to Spain and finished out his career with spells at Newcastle,Manchester United and Stoke.

Time has not been kind to Owen’s legacy with the once deadly striker rarely getting enough credit for just how good he was during the first few seasons of his career. However, his record for being the youngest player to score 100 Premier League goals, does show what a top class goal scorer he was in his prime.

5. Thierry Henry

Education / How To Unluck Your Creative Genius by Gcleaf(m): 11:59pm On May 19, 2020
This is the very question being tackled by leading visionaries and educators across the planet. In an age in which the global challenges we face are of daunting proportions--a looming water crisis, global warming, food shortages, overpopulation--the capacity to create and innovate will lead the way to comprehensive solutions and likely become the new literacies of the future. Yet, the current education system "is ill-prepared to educate the next generation of creative leaders," according to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.

Unfortunately, the systems we find ourselves in — whether that be family, schools, or work — condition out of us the courage to risk. Playing it safe suits the naysayers who are scared of the sacrifice and upheaval big ideas entail, but staying small is unfulfilling. This is why, if you truly want to be exceptional, you have to nurture this skill again. You have to nurture your creative genius. And luckily you can do that through developing habits and deliberate practice working the creative “muscles” in your brain.

Daring Greatly exposes the most potent enemy of creativity: fear of vulnerability. Being creative means putting your unique ideas out there, and facing the possibility of your emotional life being criticized or even rejected. As the quote above makes clear, thousands of revolutionary ideas have surely been missed because the creator did not have the skills to weather criticism.

Flow is perhaps the most important treatise on the neuroscience of creativity and how to capitalize on it. “Flow” refers to the mindset you’re in when you can feel creativity flowing through your veins, out of your body and into a tangible piece of art — whether that be writing, creating a product, or even doing a simple idea brainstorm. When you’re in flow state, you’re focused, energized, and buzzing with ideas.

Finish something. Anything. Stop researching, planning, and preparing to do the work and just do the work. It doesn’t matter how good or how bad it is. You don’t need to set the world on fire with your first try. You just need to prove to yourself that you have what it takes to produce something.

It’s not imperative that every person be “creative,” but life in the 21s century increasingly requires us to exercise more creativity, teachers and students alike. Without this skill, teachers risk losing jobs to AI, and students risk falling short on their true potential

Technology Market / The Deadly Weapon Used By The German During World War II & I by Gcleaf(m): 4:25pm On May 19, 2020
As reported in the Washington Post, some historians have traced this reluctance to Hitler’s own experience as a soldier during World War I. Though Germany was the first to unleash chlorine gas on French troops during the Second Battle of Ypres in April 1915, Britain and France would also employ chlorine and mustard gas during the Great War, generating widespread outrage over the new horrors of chemical warfare.

One famous U.S. project from the 1950s was Project Thor, which never got past the conceptual stage. Various concepts for space weapons over the years included "Rods from God," which would drop kinetic-energy weapons from orbit, as well as small satellites that would have onboard targeting systems allowing them to aim at other satellites or at the ground below.

The delegation held a couple of meetings but was mostly met with laughs. The Israelis were trying to sell oranges, kerosene stove tops and fake teeth. For countries like Argentina, which grew its own oranges and was connected to the electrical grid, the products were pretty useless.

By April, German chemists had tested a method of releasing chlorine gas from pressurised cylinders and thousands of French Algerian troops were smothered in a ghostly green cloud of chlorine at the second Battle of Ypres. With no protection, many died from the agonies of suffocation.

On April 22, 1915, German forces shock Allied soldiers along the western front by firing more than 150 tons of lethal chlorine gas against two French colonial divisions at Ypres, Belgium. This was the first major gas attack by the Germans, and it devastated the Allied line.Toxic smoke has been used occasionally in warfare since ancient times, and in 1912 the French used small amounts of tear gas in police operations. At the outbreak of World War I, the Germans began actively to develop chemical weapons.

In October 1914, the Germans placed some small tear-gas canisters in shells that were fired at Neuve Chapelle, France, but Allied troops were not exposed. In January 1915, the Germans fired shells loaded with xylyl bromide, a more lethal gas, at Russian troops at Bolimov on the eastern front. Because of the wintry cold, most of the gas froze, but the Russians nonetheless reported more than 1,000 killed as a result of the new weapon.

Tech Developments of World War I On April 22, 1915, the Germans launched their first and only offensive of the year. Known as the Second Battle of Ypres, the offensive began with the usual artillery bombardment of the enemy’s line. When the shelling died down, the Allied defenders waited for the first wave of German attack troops but instead were thrown into panic when chlorine gas wafted across no-man’s land and down into their trenches.

Sports / Top 10 Greatest Winning Merging In Premier League History by Gcleaf(m): 4:14pm On May 19, 2020
8 Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United 1-8 (1999)

Manchester United got the biggest ever win at a Premier in the City Ground with their 8-1 against Nottingham Forest in 1999. The game was only 2-1 at half time and picked up the pace real soon.

7 Manchester City vs Watford 8-0 (2019)

A rare win at Etihad Stadium by Manchester City and also a rare victory of 8-0. The score is one out of the only four 8-0 scores ever recorded in the history of the Premier League.

6 Middlesbrough 8-1 Manchester City (2008)

Life at Manchester City started pretty well for Sven-Goran Eriksson. After Thaksin Shinawatra allowed him a summer splurge to recruit the likes of Elano, Martin Petrov, Geovanni and Vedran Corluka, City began the season at some pace, winning 13 of their first 17 in the league and remaining in the top four until the middle of December.

However, then things started to go a little south, as they won just five more games all season, with only an unlikely Manchester derby win to provide any real cheer post-Christmas. The final game of the season was the culmination of the downward spiral, as the loosely held-together City side came apart quite flamboyantly.

It was perhaps not the size of the defeat that was the most humiliating, nor even the dreadful limpness of the performance, but the identity of the man who scored a hat trick, as Afonso Alves, that cautionary tale that is raised whenever an English team buys from the Eredivisie, waltzed off with the match ball. After Richard Dunne was sent off, Stewart Downing bagged a pair, Adam Johnson, Jeremie Aliadiere and Fabio Rochemback all scored once, Sven looked dejected and was sacked a few weeks later.

5 Chelsea 8-0 Aston Villa (2012

Science/Technology / Top 10 Deadly Secret Weapon Owned By French Military by Gcleaf(m): 3:57am On May 18, 2020
The French are the only ones in Europe who are almost self-sufficient in producing high quality military vehicles, firearms, ships and aircraft and weapons. Their products have been exported worldwide and have been the star in several major wars. In this article, I will document the top 10 weapons which are used by the French military based on their technology, quality and success in conflicts. I won’t be going deep into the technical aspects of any of these systems and this article is meant as a guide to some of the best weapons made and used by the French.

10. Crotale (Mobile SAM system)

The Crotale is one of the most successful SAM design ever built. This air defense system still evolves and remains in production for more than 40 years. A wide range of its variants have been built. It is in service with 15 countries.

The Crotale is a point defense system, designed to protect high value targets, such as airfields, military bases, ammunition depots, and so on. The original design aim of the Crotale was to engage supersonic low-flying aircraft.

Note :

Only 2 countries in the world have developed a self-propelled, self-contained SAM system capable of firing radar guided missiles, France and Russia. The Crotale is a short range SAM system which can be mounted on a tracked chassis or on a 6×6,8×8 wheeled vehicle. This mobility, combined with 8 containerized missiles, a search and tracking radar, provide the French forces with an easy to deploy and powerful air defense capability.

9. SCALP Cruise Missile

The Storm Shadow / SCALP is a long-range, air-launched, stand-off attack missile designed and developed by France-based MBDA Systems. The missile was developed primarily for the UK and French armed forces. It is derived from the MBDA Systems’ Apache anti-runway missile.

The missile is intended to strike high-valued stationary assets such as airbases, radar installations, communications hubs and port facilities. The Storm Shadow is capable of engaging the targets precisely in any weather conditions during day and night. The long range and low attitude combined with subsonic speed make the Storm Shadow a stealthy missile.

The Storm Shadow is also in service with the air forces of Italy, Greece, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is referred to as Black Shaheen in the UAE Air Force service.

The Storm Shadow can be integrated into Tornado GR4, Tornado IDS, Saab Gripen, Mirage 2000, Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.

8. Horizon Class Destroyer

The Horizon program was a joint venture between UK, France an Italy to develop a common next generation Air Defense Destroyer. But after the UK dropped out to pursue their Daring class, France and Italy carried on with the program and 4 ships were a result of this. France operates 2 of these powerful destroyers. It is referred to as frigates, but in terms of displacement and armament, they are definitely destroyers and the frigate term is purely political.

The distinct piece of equipment on these ships is their primary EMPAR multifunction G-band AESA radar and their secondary Thales S1850 volume search AESA radar. These ships are equipped with 48 A50 VLS cells for a mix of Aster-15/30 missiles. The range and capabilities of these missiles enable these ships to maintain an air defense bubble of radius 150 km around it. These ships form a part of the French carrier Battle group and provide primary air defense. They also have surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare capabilities. 8 Exocet Anti-ship missiles are carried behind the superstructure in angled box launchers. 4 torpedo tubes and an ASW helicopter form a potent defense against submarines. The gun armament consists of 2x76mm super rapid guns which can be used against air and surface targets and 2×20 mm cannons. The Sadral forms the CIWS component of the ship.

These highly capable destroyers are small in number and only 1 will be available for deployment at any point of time. But they will form the most important component of French naval operations.

7. Mistral Class (LHD)

Each ship can carry up to 16 heavy helicopters and one-third of a mechanised regiment, plus two LCAC hovercraft or four landing craft.

Mistral is the French Navy's first all-electric warship and is fitted with two Alstom 7MW electric azimuth pods.

Mistral and Tonnerre carry sufficient stores for the crew and 450 troops for 45 days between replenishments.

Mistral has the capacity to accommodate a Combined (multinational) Joint (multiservice) Task Force (CJTF).

The vessels have ample capacity for use as hospital ships or for humanitarian evacuation missions.

The Mistral Class is fitted with a high-performance communications suite, which makes the ship suitable for deployment as a command vessel. The ships also have the capacity to accommodate a combined (multinational) joint (multiservice) task force (CJTF).

6. Charles de Gaulle (Aircraft Carrier)

The Charles De Gaulle is a 38,000 ton, nuclear powered French aircraft carrier launched in May 1994. The ship operates a fleet of 40 Rafale M combat aircraft, the Super Etendard and three E-2C Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft. The ship also supports the AS 565 Panther and Dauphin helicopters. There are two lifts, measuring 19 x 13 m, which have a load capacity of 36 tons. The hangar has a floor area of 140 x 30 metres and a height 6.1 metres.

It accommodates 20 to 25 aircraft. The main deck consists of a main runway angled at 8.5 degrees to the ship's axis and an aircraft launch area forward of the island. The runway and the forward launch area are each equipped with a USN Type C13 catapult rated to handle aircraft up to 22 tonnes and capable of launching one aircraft per minute. The runway is 195 metres long and the whole deck measures 260 x 64 metres.

The ship's weapons are managed by a Senit Combat Management System, CMS Model 8. The system has the capacity to track up to 2,000 friendly and hostile targets. The weapon control system consists of two Sagem Vigy 105 optronic directors. The ship has two Sagem Vampir search and track systems. The ship is fitted with the Aster 15 surface-to-air missile launchers, Sylver vertical launch systems, installed on the edge of the deck, with two launchers (16 cells) on the starboard side forward of the bridge and two launchers on the port side aft of the bridge.

The ship has two six-cell Sadral launching systems for the Mistral missile positioned on the edges of the main deck about 45 metres (starboard side) and 36 metres (port side) aft of the Aster missile launchers. The ship is also equipped with eight Giat 20F2 guns and four decoy launchers are installed, two on either side of the ship firing chaff to 8 km and infra-red flares to a range of 3 km.

5. Leclerc (Main Battle Tank

Sports / Top 10 Defender With The Highest Goals In History by Gcleaf(m): 9:22am On May 17, 2020
Defenders are primarily charged with keeping the opposition from scoring, acting as the first line of defense in front of the goalkeeper and while not as highly valued as their more attack-minded colleagues, they are nevertheless cornerstones to any team’s success.

Tackles, interceptions, clearances, these are terms usually associated with defenders and it is such a rarity to see defenders scoring, with their card counts usually higher than their goals tally.

However, the average central defender is usually dominant in the air and this makes them significant goal threats from set-pieces, while rare occasions have have seen defenders installed as first-choice set piece takers.

Throughout history, some defenders have gone against the norm and distinguished themselves with their displays in front of goal, sometimes outshining their attacking teammates in terms of goals tally and here at Sportszion, we shall be having a rundown of the top 10 highest scoring defenders in history.

10. Franz Beckenbauer – 109 goals

The Bayern Munich legend was famous for his instincts and creativity despite being a defender.

Beckenbauer also scored 109 goals across his career from 1964 to 1983 and adopted the role of a sweeper.

The former West Germany captain famously won the 1974 World Cup and spent the bulk of his career at Bayern.

He won the Ballon d’Or twice in 1972 and 1976

Sports / 10 Great Players That Doesn't Play At English Premier League, Mess I Excluded by Gcleaf(m): 10:47pm On May 16, 2020
The popularity of the Premier League means almost every football loving fan across the world knows about the players who ply their trades in the English topflight. Aside from the popularity of the league, its competitiveness also makes it endearing.

The good football on display, coupled with its wide media coverage, makes the Premier League a dream for many footballers. And, as expected, the league has seen some great players pass through in the last two decades and beyond.

But, just like every other league, the Premier League has not been able to house all the best talents the game has seen. For every Wayne Rooney or Gianfranco Zola, there are many more legendary players who never played in the English topflight.

SportyG brings you 10 great footballers who have never played in the Premier League:

10 Zinedine Zidane

Very few playmakers can raise their heads at the mention of Zinedine Zidane’s name. The former France international was a beast wherever he played, and his greatness is epitomized by the number of trophies he won at the end of his career.

Zidane finished his career winning multiple titles for club and country, including the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA World Cup. He played in Italy, Spain and France, but unfortunately did not grace the Premier League with his magic.

A player like Zidane would definitely have thrived in the English topflight and, in truth, many English fans would have loved to attend games with him in action. At a point in Zidane’s career, he was linked with a move to Manchester United, but that was as far as it got.

9. Iker Casillas

Has spent his entire career at Real Madrid before moving to Porto in 2015/16. The long-time Spanish No.1 was a loyal and brilliant performer for Madrid. The record appearance holder for Spain would’ve been a big hit in the Premier League and his Spanish background would complement the Spanish contingent at Arsenal.

8: Ronaldinho

Abundant natural talent served Ronaldinho well, but he could have been even better.

Despite winning everything there is to win with a team and as an individual, when looking back on Ronaldinho’s career, there is the persistent feeling that, like George Best, somehow it could have been even better—did you know that at youth level he once scored every goal in a 23-0 victory?

No one is questioning his natural talent or even the application of that talent, but the player who rose to prominence during the 2002 World Cup before embarking on an assault of Europe that yielded three league titles and a Champions League always seemed a little distracted by fame.

His penchant for parties, coupled with self-regard, translated into occasional selfishness on the pitch, leaving us to wonder whether better decision-making would have elevated Ronaldinho to the status of all-time great.

Still, countless assists, 274 goals in 686 career appearances to date—including that audacious free-kick against England in the 2002 World Cup that catapulted him to stardom—and some of the quickest feet on record mean that only doubts that hang over Ronaldinho’s talent relate to whether he could have taken it even further

Technology Market / Top 10 Deadly Weapon Owned By India Military by Gcleaf(m): 2:51am On May 16, 2020
India is one of the most rapidly growing militaries in the world. They have evolved from a regional force with tactical capabilities to a growing strategic force with global reach. They are heavily dependent on foreign suppliers for equipment as their local industry hasn’t quite delivered as promised. But the ones in service are top quality indigenous systems. This article will cover the 10 most powerful weapon systems used by the Indian Armed Forces. It is interesting to note that even though most of the weapons in the list are foreign supplied, the Indians have modified many of them to suit their requirements. They are known for purchasing well-known platforms and integrating them with subsystems from around the world to create a lethal system which would turn out better than the original. This makes them a force to reckon with. The order of weapons in the article is entirely based on my analysis and opinion. I haven’t included strategic nuclear weapons and their delivery platforms. After over a hundred fan requests in the past month, Defencyclopedia brings you this article. So sit back and enjoy reading it.

10. Pinaka MLRS

Pinaka was designed to replace the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher systems of the Indian Army. It is a multifaceted system integrating high energy propulsion, sub-munition warheads, servo-controlled launcher configuration and fire control computer.

The Pinaka system is based on the 8×8 vehicle. Each battery is composed of six launcher vehicles, six loader-cum replenishment vehicles and two command post vehicles. Each launcher vehicle carries two pods, housing a total of 12 rockets.

Each Pinaka rocket is capable of carrying a 100kg payload for a range of 40km. A single Pinaka battery can neutralise a surface area of 700m x 500m. The system can engage targets with a circular error probability (CEP) of one to two percent of range.

9. PAD/ AAD Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Systematic

New Delhi: India’s indigenous Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) programme is complete, and the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) are now working on a proposal to seek the government’s nod to install the missile shield for the national capital, ThePrint has learnt.

The BMD, along with the Russian S-400 Triumf air defence system , aims to secure the country from all kinds of incoming missiles, including nuclear, and flying objects.

“The BMD programme has been completed. All tests carried so far have been successful, including the radars and missiles. The IAF, which is responsible for the country’s air defence, and the DRDO, which has developed the system, will now move a joint proposal for the government’s clearance,” a top government official told ThePrint.

The official, however, didn’t reveal much about other details of the programme.

The successful test of the anti-satellite (A-SAT) missile last March was a big boost to the BMD programme. India’s leap in space with the A-SAT test is especially significant because inter-continental ballistic missiles like China’s Dongfeng series travel through space before re-entering Earth’s atmosphere to hit the target.

8. NaMiCa (Nag Missile Carrier)

NEW DELHI: Moving closer toward the induction of the Nag anti-tank guided missiles into the Army, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO ) on Sunday carried out three successful test firings of the missiles in the

Pokhran firing ranges.

"The missiles were test-fired during both day and night on Sunday during the trials. All three tests were successful," DRDO officials said.

Government sources said the missile is in the final stages of being inducted into the Army which will use it by mounting them on the modified armoured vehicles.

The Defence Acquisition Council has last year approved the procurement of DRDO's designed and developed NAG Missile System (NAMIS) at the cost of Rs 524 crore.

The system includes a third generation Anti-Tank Guided Missile, the NAG, along with the Missile Carrier Vehicle (NAMICA). The NAG missile is a third generation anti-tank guided missile, which has top attack capabilities that can effectively engage and destroy all known enemy tanks during day and night.

The successful induction of the NAG missile into the Army is expected to give a quantum boost to the Army's capability against enemy armour.

The Army and DRDO are supposed to carry out more tests of the missiles on Monday also to further validate the missile's capabilities.

Nag was one of the first five strategic missiles planned to be developed under the Integrated Missile Development Programme initiated in the 1980s.

The other missiles developed under the project include the Agni, Prithvi and Akash and all three of them have been successfully developed and inducted into the armed forces.

Sports / Top 6 Players Who Have Scores 5 Goals In A Single Match In Premier League by Gcleaf(m): 3:29am On May 15, 2020
We’ve decided to look back at some of the greatest goalscoring performances in the division’s history, an exclusive group of players to remarkably net five times in a single Premier League fixture.

Here are the five players to score five goals in a Premier League game:

6. Ian Rush, Liverpool vs Luton Town in 1983

Liverpudlian Rush was an injury doubt for the fixture with Luton Town at Anfield, suffering from a groin injury sustained in a midweek cup tie with Brentford a matter of days beforehand.

However Rush was indeed cleared to play, albeit at the very last minute, and was the man of the match in a stellar individual performance. Liverpool would dismantle opponents Luton by a 6-0 scoreline, with Rush scoring all but one of the home side's goals, securing his hat-trick within 36 minutes, and he added his fourth and fifth in the second half.

After the match, while holding the match ball, Rush joked with the media: "The lads say I’ve got so many I can open up a sports shop. I came here not expecting to play, but at five o’clock I’d got five goals. It was unbelievable."

5. Tony Woodcock, Asenal vs Aston Villa 1983

Sports / Top 10 Real Madrid Footballers Of The History by Gcleaf(m): 6:28pm On May 12, 2020
There seems to be some kind of enchanted path leading to the Santiago Bernabeu that will inevitably entice the world's greatest footballers. Real Madrid have never been short of possessing the leading lights of the sport.

Such is the richness of Real Madrid's history that only one of the current team's players are able to take a place alongside the greats of the club, and fairly so. But it's certainly not Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo may have smashed a number of records—including that as the most expensive player in the game—but he's still charting out his course among the stars. There's nothing legendary about Ronaldo's presence in world football, but there's no doubt that will change as the player reaches the twilight of his career.

Instead, there's a wonderful selection to choose from, and I'm sure it will hit a nerve among one or two.

But there is certainly be no malice in the celebration of some of the best players ever to play the game.

1. Santiago Bernabeu

Santiago Bernabéu represented so much in the history of Real Madrid that sometimes it is difficult to distinguish the man from the club. He devoted all of his life to football and his beloved team and gave his all for the institution as a player, trainer, director and president. He was the man responsible for making Real Madrid a truly great club and giving it the international prestige and the fabulous facilities that the club has today.

Thanks to his ability as a player, at the age of 14 Bernabéu started playing for the Real Madrid youth team. Three years later, he made it to the first team where he soon became captain. He was noted for his fierce independence, his honesty and his readiness to make sacrifices for his beloved team. He finally hung up his boots 15 years later in 1927 and joined the board of directors where he remained until 1935.

At the age of 20, he finished his degree in Law and in 1943 he was elected president of Real Madrid. He organized the club into different sections in which a different person was responsible for each area of the club, established professional coaching teams and gave strong institutional support to fan clubs known as “peñas”. He also promoted new sports at Real Madrid (basketball, handball, tennis, etc.) and built the new Chamartín Stadium and the Sports City training facilities. He made sure that Real Madrid signed the best players of the time including Alfredo Di Stéfano. He both supported and helped to create the European Cup competition (now known as the Champions League).

In 1955, the board of directors changed the name of the club’s ground from the Chamartín Stadium to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. His presidency was unique in the history of world football and he was the man who put Real Madrid right at the top He won 6 European Cups, the Intercontinental Cup, the World Club Championship, the Spanish League and the Spanish Cup among other honours. Five of the six European Cups were won consecutively and this meant that the club was allowed to keep the original trophy. Every year, Real Madrid host the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy game in his honour.
