Politics › Re: Buhari & Osinbajo Said This About Fuel Subsidy In 2011 During GEJ Time(pics) by gcof(m): 10:54am On May 12, 2016 |
VictorRomanov: The subsidy removal is a welcome development. It is much like the deregulation of telecommunications sector. At first people bought lines for 50k+ but now line is free. You only pay for recharge cards. I believe the same thing would happen to petrol, hopefully. My only annoyance is that we are 4 years late. Because the same people who are championing it now, were the same people who instigated protests all over the country. What was their motives back then? What has changed now? You talked about conditions, what conditions has changed?
Looking at it carefully, I've come to see that politicians care little or nothing about the masses. Their only concern is to wrestling down power from their opponents, even if this means being unreasonable. And my friend, its so unfortunate that u have refused to see this! I couldn't help but thank you for this wonderful response. you are one of the few who understand what is going on in this country |

Politics › Re: Fuel Subsidy Removed Officially By FG by gcof(m): 8:06pm On May 11, 2016 |
olad54: subsidy removal is good for the country and the people. more money for the government to carry out important projects and create more jobs.for the people, no more elaborate parties, spraying money, blocking the entire street.no more driving around aimlessly looking for girl friends.no more excessive speeds on our roads. people will think twice and put pen to paper and do some home economics.God bless the federal republic of nigeria and president Buhari. do you think this will affect those in government? even if fuel sell for 400 per litre, they will afford it confortably. it is the average Nigerian that will always suffer and as long as that is the case, nothing will ever move in this country. talking about having more money to spend, since we've been recovering money from looters, what has been done with it? democracy is government for the people but in Nigeria it is government for the government |

I think this is a tactical step. announce to the public you have located the girls while you have not located them, this may prompt the terrorists to try to move the girls to another location and in so doing, luck may be on the side of NA and they will catch up on the terrorists that's if there are any missing girls. APC cooked up a story they didn't care about how it will end as far as it will give them power |

vickyO: I call it power surge.
It's a shame if this report is actually true that the police would take someone to court over an observation made when there are pressing needs left unattended.
I read the other day that a man was on trail against the Federal Government for posting a picture of Buhari with RIP on it. The man defended himself by simply saying RIP meant remain in power.
This government is the most unusual I have seen all my life in Nigeria. Many things are going awry but I pray everthing turns out well at last. As the Bible says, though sorrow may last for the night, joy's going to come in the morning.
I have chosen not to criticise anymore but to encourage and pray for the government because they are all we've got for the next four years.
So let us all pray for Nigeria till we are united and one. Corruption kept at bay. Boko Haram displaced. Lost glory restored so we all can exhale.
God bless Nigeria and it's slogan; Good people, great Nation. this part of your statement actually got me" I have chosen not to criticise anymore but to encourage and pray for the government because they are all we've got for the next four years. marv1: This why we have problems in this country. What else are u looking for? We are talking of somebody who has been fed from his womb with stolen money. In other climes he would have stepped aside but in nigeria, he is so super rich that he can afford to hire 90 SANs to fight for his defence, what a morckery of our legal system. Politicians know very well that nigeria legal prosection system has loop-holes that they can always explore. This is why this case is just begining hearing after going back and forth for months. Yet some youths on NL that are not up to 1% Saraki's fortune will be defending him or any theiving politicians. Its saraki's turn today let it be anybody's turn tomorrow. Its welcome. All yam eaters must vormit whatever they have eaten. Call it persecution or witch-hunting one is clear a thief is a thief. why not let the court decide that |

A manager in defunt societe general bank, then promoted to managing director of the bank by his late father, used the money from the bank to finance politics b4 joining politics after destroying the bank. why not let him be convicted rather than telling him to vacate the senate seat making it seem like that is just the sole aim of his prosecution |
