FuckTheM0ds:
big boss during last year's admission process, you really helped out immensely by disseminating the much needed and vital informations to aspirants and even though some hard headed kids proved to be "i too know" (no mind them na small pikin dey worry them) pls just don't allow that to barricade you from helping us with some certain infos which we will ask you when need be.
Welcome on board man
Lol... Yeah.. Been long I visited Education section itself not to talk of checking out this thread. Been really busy of late, would have loved to be frequent here. Anyone that wants to ask questions should just mention my moniker and I will be there with immediate effect..

Hello, now I'm here. How may I be of help?
EducationRe: Please Help by geedot: 12:02am On Feb 10, 2016
When you knew wearing a uniform to write an exam you failed would be a problem, you should have opted for WAEC/GCE instead of the one you registered for..
I think what you should be more bothered about is how you are going to pass your exam this time around outstandingly and prepare for UTME come next year. You finished 2014, you're not getting any younger, so the earlier you make your results;the better for you.
And about your friends discouraging you about studying Law, proving them wrong should be an extra push for you(which is by gaining admission to study that same particular course "Law"wink.
I don't like doing this but I just have to, you need to work on your English, it's really bad, no one is perfect(I use google a lot to help brush mine up to this stage and I'm still doing so till date) but that shouldn't stop us from learning.
For example, whenever you make use of "did" in a sentence, it should/must be followed by a present tense and not past tense eg I didn't make my results and not "I didn't made".
Wish you all the best in your exams!

Person go stop being ignorant and realize that things are changing. Covenant is among the best in Nigeria, as much as it hurts a lot of people it's the truth.
Not everyone online is worth replying..
I keep wondering why most people think Covenant University is not there academically. It's very obvious the School will take over Nigeria in few years to come leaving only "few" Federal Unis that would worth comparing her with.
The School is just few years old and has already reached this height, just can't imagine what the School would be like in 20yrs time.
UIte btw!

Worthy winner!
I would be disappointed if it were given to Yaya Toure(no doubt about his ability), but this guy deserved it this year than any other African player.

I havent seen complete courses in the COC, courses like philosophy, english, education and religious studies, comm an lang arts etc, does it means that there are no spaces in the course? Or UI doesnt aprove them for COC
cc geedot 11 michael ajosegabriel

pls help repky for a friend, thanks
It's very simple, some students will be given their initial courses(probably due to a mark/marks below their initial cut-offs), some will be given courses even though they didn't opt for the COC(these are the set of student that would be given some courses not included in the COC list). Most courses have not reached their maximum quota with the 1st released list(merit list), so they re surely going to fill 'em up with the new list that will be released.
I know of Some Law students that didn't meet their cut-offs for Law but were given Social Sciences courses like Psychology, Sociology and Pol. Science(these courses were not on the COC list last year) even though some of 'em didn't opt for COC while some opted for different courses but UI gave 'em different one.
All i'm trying to say is you have better chance with higher marks but this is not a guarantee of getting your COC as some people with lower marks than yours could be given admission while you are not.
Plus I've stopped commenting on this page because of some ITKs everywhere..

Thats not true. That is what the clearance is for...to fish out those wit wrong combo and eida change deir depts (if luck and God smiles on them) or they forfeit the admission.
Okay!
I won't argue with you.

These requirements came out this yr...around may/june....lets see how it goes for the newly admitted during clearance first
Any wrong combo aspirants wouldn't make the merit list in the first place. So making the merit list is a guarantee you've scaled through utme hurdle.

I just said what I saw on d site.are u saying d site z wrong?
It's optional in Utme combo but compulsory in O'level requirement..
A female friend got in to this same Psychology with Lit-in-Eng, Yoruba and Government in 2013/2014..
You see how odd this combo looks and yet she got in without any issue whatsoever.. That's UI for you.
If you're not in the system; you can't know all these.

Arguing with you is nothing but a waste of time, but would do so just to avoid you from giving peeps online here the wrong info about what you absolutely knew nothing about.
I personally advised a friend to chose CRS, Govt. And Lit-in Eng as jamb combination for Psychology last year and He's currently a 100level Psychology student in UI currently.
Biology is not compulsory at all as a utme combo for Psychology in UI!

Not compulsory at all in utme combination! Don't just type things you have little or no knowledge about..

You have to address it to University Of Ibadan. All you need to do is go give those typists to help you include the addressing to UI at the top where "Recommendation Letter" is written..
Had the same issue last year and i had to go re-address it and they later collected it..

It should be from your Primary to Secondary, and if you already graduated from any Tertiary Institution ;you may include it(but i don't think it's necessary).
Hope i've answered that.

am using neco and i didnt write economics, but i have 7 credits in maths english crk govt history literature and agric, am i good to go without economics for this course education and religious studies at UI? Cc zezeny
You're good to go, Economics is not a prerequisite for Religious studies.. All you need is English, a pass in Mathematics, CRS/IRS, Lit-in-eng, History/Government and Yoruba/igbo/Hausa.
Having 5credits from any of these listed subjects is enough to get you in which you had already.

My collegues r leavin for nysc nxt yr. N av finished giving birth. So i wnt hv any p wt pregnancy n school. I heard ibadan uses waec result grading system, so i wanted to rewrite waec to clear A's n B2's. So pls be sure of d info u r givin me. Tnx.
Madam, C6 parallel in your five(5) compulsory subjects is all you need! and 200+ as your jamb score.
Then you find your way through post-ume. No aggregate whatsoever, just post-ume mark is used as cut-off.

FrancisTony:
Why?

Mind you, 6,000+ passed last year out of 8,000+ that sat for the exam.
I can only see Medicine going back to 75, Law might still maintain 73, Dentistry, Pharmacy et al would be below 70.
8,000+ passed? Fine! But how extremely compared to last year?
Consequently cut-off is dropping along peoples' mark!
EducationRe: University Of Ibadan 2015/16 Applicants by geedot: 6:45pm On Sep 15, 2015
One thing is certain this year, Cut-off will be extremely low compared to last year!
