Opeyemi007: hi everyone, has anyone here ever talked their way through South Africa immigration without a visa? I know its unrelated to the post but i haven't been able to find anything helpful on this. Traveling to Mauritius, feb 12 with my gf, South African Airlines Business class, there's a 19 hrs stop over on the way back and it would be too long to spend in the transit hotel. Its too late to apply for a visa because it takes forever to receive a decision. Has anyone ever been lucky to talk their way into being allowed into the country for a couple hours? I have visited the country in the past 2013 and i didn't violate their visa terms. Thanks If you don't have a transit visa, you'll b chilling at OR tambo airport for the 19 hours. However since you r flying business class, SAA might just arrange something comfy for you if you discuss with them ahead of time. Not sure you can talk your way through. |

Yummy blueberry banana muffins. Made with oat flour and almond flour, bananas, almond milk, baking powder, baking soda, eggs, and of course blueberries. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring! These are gluten free, diary free, and so rich. Perfect bake for a Monday morning breakfast.

abnice2004: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by abnice2004: 2:56pm
Hello everyone. I came here the other time for my sister who wants to submit her application for study permit with hotel reservation but she later got SA ID, utility bill and letter from someone in SA. When she got to the vfs she was told that the ID is not not too clear and if she wants to submit it, she should sign a consent form that she is aware that she can be denied because of it but she opted out and went back home. Should she sign the form and submit it or she should use hotel reservation instead of the ID or contact the school about it( the school does not have accommodation) or can anyone help? Please your contribution is really needed. Thanks Simply tell the person to send a clear and certified copy of the ID and also provide a letter as proof that he/she will be accommodating you at least till you secure your own accommodation. |

Omoocash: Thanks so much. I will go with some tubers of Yam and plantains. My advice, pack the yams well. Don’t put all your yam tubers in one luggage. Spread it across your luggage. Yam can be very heavy so don’t carry too much. In my own case I flew saa and they have more luggage allowance than other airlines. Plantain too should be unripe cos it will most likely be ripe by d time you get here. Don’t carry liquid like palm oil or honey in your luggage because you may get caught and you’ll forfeit everything. |

Leave if you get the opportunity. But also remember that the grass is not always greener on the other side. |

If only they can improve crappy services and logistics. The rate of flight delays and cancellations on their local routes is not acceptable in internationAl standards.
And the hostesses need to get better training. |

iamkingrobert: I think am in good position to advise you on this. Lol. Alright congrats on the visa. On cheap flight, I’ll probably advise you buy if from AirNamibia but it should be that you’re flying from Ghana, why because they’ doing serious promo in Ghana. Apart from the fact that you will save almost $200 or more, you will also transit Namibia which is a plus on getting your passport more tattoos and Ghana own too will be included. As for cheap accommodation, abeg use Airbnb but find a good neighborhood, SA is crime capital, remember. But I think Airbnb is really cool and cheap, I got some both in joburg and Cape Town and I’ll be there January. It’s my first trip to the place and I pray it will be fruitful and fun. Estimate on ticket from Ghana to SA through airnamibia is $460. That’s what I paid for mine. And you can transit there without their visa since you got SA visa and SA is your destination. I hope this helps you. To my SA people sorry for the “crime capital” remarks. It’s just what google feeds everyone online.. There is no point traveling to Ghana from Nigeria just to join a flight to SA. It’s Extra stress. The way you av bn talking about d air Namibia thing as if u r an agent. Abeg. Rwanda air and Ethiopian air give better service and they are quite cheap too. And take a chill. You’ve not even been to SA b4. Wait till u get there b4 giving pple hyped information. @homody, you can get a return trip on Rwandair for about N150k from Lagos to Johannesburg. Even by January ending. Check flights on travelstart. |
