@Geli12 thanks so much, your input was indeed helpful. I have been able to book appointment as well for next month.

But please can anyone shed light on whether I can use walk in appointment notwithstanding that my appointment is for September.
U 're welcome...yes u can walk in any day and time u like but d issue is that a lot of people wants to walk in, like at Ikeja, over 100 wanted to walk in yesterday, they were asked to come today, only for them to taķe only 14 and asked the rest to come next Wednesday, so walk in is no longer guaranteed...where is ur centre?

No need u can switch to assisted service, on the day of your appointment, just go there with the print-out (ur self service )of ur appointment, and they will request that u pay a fee of 11,500 naira to immediately switch to assisted service
Are you serious, that's great, thanks..

Thanks for the update. Even Abuja centre has many people at the queue. Took me up to 3 hrs standing on queue before it got to my turn.
TLS warn against those boys outside. They will promise to do anything for you including giving you visa. They are mostly fraudsters.
They warn against them and turn around and work with them behind d scene
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by geli12: 1:21pm On Aug 12, 2020
Good day everyone...i have asking of how to book appointment, I got a lot of response, thanks everyone for d response , I decided to go to Tls contact at Ikeja to find out what is going on, d response is that dates are not available for now until October, even walk in is not sure, there were about a hundred people yesterday for walk in but they were declined, asked to come today, they came today, only 14 people were taken in, from there explanation, they ain't sure when next to accept walk in, so appointment is a very serious issue now at Ikeja centre, someone suggested that I should go to Abuja, my advice is if u have not chosen Ikeja yet, better choose another centre..as I was leaving, some guys there were asking me to allow them book appointment for me 4 a fee, I asked them How, they said it's an insider thing..i think there is a big issue there, meanwhile they now open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.. I hope this is helpful to someone...
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by geli12: 7:03pm On Aug 11, 2020
I have done it and am still on it, at available dates in september, I chose from 9am to 1pm, a message to choose premium lounge keeps popping up, If I click on No thanks, it will not proceed to checkout...its Tls ikeja

chiwelaw:
It's like I understand you a bit from experience. Login
afresh again, when you get to the tls page choose self service then go to September where you see available dates, select the free date then go to the time and choose from 9am or 930am upwards, don't select earlier than 9am cos I feel they are for primetime appointment so it will be asking for payment. Try this and revert back
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by geli12: 5:55pm On Aug 11, 2020
I already chose Tls Ikeja

I really don't understand, there is no date atall till September 1st week, I want to walk in tomorrow, how do I choose flexi appointment for tomorrow

famzynet:
There must be something that you are doing wrong. To choose walk in,choose flexi appointment on the date you want to go. Pay with card.

I have been restarting from UK visa page since morning, same thing...1st I choose assisted service , it takes me to date, I search thru August, no date, then come to September, I get date but when I choose d date it will say this is chargeable service, then next it will say upgrade to premium service, I opt out but when I get to where to check out, I will not he able to check out..this is a very big problem for , I want to walk in tomorrow

quote author=famzynet post=92704993]

Just close the browser and start from the UK Visa page again. You will have to pay once you chose any service there.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by geli12: 4:05pm On Aug 11, 2020
I tried all the time same thing, if I accept the upgradeable to premium time, they will charge me 30k plus, total will come to 50k plus, is this a way to charge more or what? I just feel like crying, if I pick the 50k plus and do walk in anytime, will I pay the 50k plus and still pay 42k for walk in?.

@Tuoma, thanks 4 ur reply. I am ready to pay the walk in fee but Tlssite will not allow me check out after selecting assisted service..Do u know what esle I can do?

quote author=Tuoma post=92701603]
You can just opt for assisted service(11,000) and pick any date available, then walk in any day and inform those at the gate (securities) youve opted for the walk in service. You gonna pay additional 42k via your debit card inside TLS.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by geli12: 1:41pm On Aug 11, 2020
Yes please I want to walk in but I don't know how use self service, I don't know how to scan documents on my own.

post=92673882]Is a simple procedure.. Book appointment with TLS of normal service.. Either self-service or assisted service to any available date you got. It does mean anything.. Then you print the confirmatory email sent to you by TLS. Any day that suite you from the next day you booked the appointment you can go to TLS office.. Speak to them at the gate that you went to do walk.. You will attended to, so far you have your extra 42k to pay them.. But if you're on tier 5 or students visa they will not attend to you.. They'll ask you to hold on.. Best wishes!
Hello my people...... Any first timer coming into UK through Heathrow airport....should be very careful.

make sure you delete any chat or mail that can land u back to muritala, make sure u don't save people's name with some funny words..my experience yesterday at Heathrow airport was a serious check by the boarder officers after being checked in by immigrations.

A guy was sent back cos they said his visa is fake which is not true. At first timer coming in at this time should be careful.

Which means they are ready to send pple back at the slightest of any thing.
When I first saw this post last week, I was worried cos I am also a first timer, so yesterday I got to Heathrow, I was asked questions about why I am in UK, who is he to me, where do I work and how much I was travelling with, I told them I had no cash on me cos it's a sponsored trip by my Fiance and the Officer stamped me in, I think one should look straight into their eye balls and answer confidently...above all , pray for God's favour..Thanks all.

It will cost her nothing, if she told them that her fiance is waiting to pick her up they will call or go to arrival hall to look for him just to confirm her story.
Thank u Sir.

giselle237:
1.Have a valid accommodation for the whole trip.
2.Have a return ticket with same timeframe as your accommodation.
3.Hold your money in cash. The whole sum. They need to see that you have palpable funds as you declared on your application form that you would spend on the trip.
4. If you are asked if you have been denied visa before? If the answer is yes

speak the truth and give accurate number as you told in your application form. There’s no ‘I didn’t understand the question’
Lastly do not lie. If you are asked how long you are staying, say exactly what is on your return ticket
Thanks for your response ma,
My Fiance is sponsoring my trip, he is going to accommodate and feed me for the one month am going to spend, he will waiting for me at Heathrow to pick me up, I don't have any cash to present , is there any cause for alarm ma. Tnx

I have been a silent follower, I got most of the information I used here, I never asked any question.
I want to thank everyone who contributed positively to this forum..there are regular names like Justwise, Giselle , thank u so much, I pray God will grant ur heart desires.

Now my case was almost hopeless, I have a divorce case going On, my former husband filed for divorce, fortunately for me I met my old lover who travelled to the UK and we started where we stopped. Now he is my Fiance, we are getting married in Nigeria early next year but he wanted me to spend Christmas holiday with him in the UK, I was not sure it would work cos I work in a school and earn 40k only and out of that salary, my daughter's school fees will be deducted every month, so I have like 20k left .so my Fiance sent me invitation letter that he will sponsor my trip, he sent his ILR, council tax, letter from employer, pay slips, statement of account that enters debit at the end of the month, so I didn't put much hope that I would be given visa coupled with the fact that a lady with a similar case was rejected 2 weeks ago, I was expecting rejection letter today but I didn't see any, opened the passport and saw 6 months visa.
I am writing my story here to encourage someone like me . Thanks and nice weekend

@toks2008, what d hell is the thread for, u should come out and address ur fellow against infidelity and not advice d female to endure such useless act.
Did u consider HIV and the emotional trauma involved.
If a man does not have discipline or control of his manhood, he shouldn't talk or marriage he should remain single until he understands what marriage is all about.
Infidelity is wrong, I will ensure to teach male children and I am advising you to desist from it because you sound like a bloody one.
