Ok, i've tried to side load linux (ubuntu) once but my pc didnt support it, since i can do that i'll just switch my redundant desktop to linux for this purpose, Thanks.

You don't have to use only linux you can dual boot between linux and windows maybe you didn't do it correctly. Don't switch the desktop to linux I can guide you on side loading the linux with windows on your laptop. When you're ready tell me but you would need some tools like linux (ubuntu) bootable cd and boot repair cd. If you can't burn them on cd you can also burn them on flash drive. Let me know your decision.

Some of this windows recovery applications may not give you the best. I'm talking from experience cos I've been in your shoe. Using another operating system like linux and then with the help of terminal (like command) application on linux, you can recover ALL

Be careful how you handle this issue, instead of recovering files I would advice you to recover the whole partition structure(this houses all your files) which can be done on linux operating system, and I can help you do that. Just contact me if you are ready. I've been in this kind of situation before and I recovered all my files...just make sure you do not tamper with that hard disk just remove it and keep it somewhere so you don't overwrite which can make the recovery process long.

if you can't do these, then you would have to trust that your antivirus scan would fix it. So get an original antivirus to scan your system.

Please what's the most effective way of exorcising autorun malware and virus from a PC?.
There are two in my PC, one changes the folder in any removable media I connect to shortcuts, while the second and worst changes all files in the removable media into 1kb links.
The latter has ruined two of my USB flash drives.
PS: I've scanned it with Avast® but i'm sceptical of it's effectiveness.
