France boss Didier Deschamps believes that their aggressiveness in the second half against Belgium changed everything.

France came back from a first half 2 goals from Belgium to win 3-2 in the Nations League semi-final.

Deschamps admits that they didn’t play well in the first half of the game but despite the struggle they had the character to turn things around.

“It’s one of the best because of how it unfolded, because of the quality of our opponents,’ Deschamps said.

“Despite the adversity we had the pride and the character to turn it around. It is a great, great moment.

“We were below our par in the last part of the first half but once we played more aggressively it was another story.

“The players were feeling down at halftime but it’s because we had given Belgium the opportunity to score those two goals. The players showed pride and character.”

Deschamps hail his forward Kylian Mbappe in the game as the PSG star proved himself after the disappointing Euro2020 tournament.

“Kylian didn’t have any doubts,” said Deschamps after the match. “He was determined after lacking efficiency at the Euros.

“Like I always said, the French team is better with than without Kylian Mbappe.

“We were knocked out by Switzerland (at Euro 2020) but the France national team is still here. We’re still among the best teams.”

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce admits he fears been sacked by the Magpies new Saudi Arabia owner.

A £305million deal was agreed with Mike Ashley and signed off by the Premier League as the club now belongs to a Saudi Arabian.

Premier League confirmed the takeover had been signed off after receiving ‘legally binding assurances’ that the Saudi state would not control the club.

After the takeover Steve Bruce insist he wants to continue as Newcastle boss and prove to new owner what he can do.

“I want to continue, I’d like the chance to show the new owners what I can do, but you have to be realistic and they may well want a new manager to launch things for them,’ Bruce told Media.

“New owners normally want a new manager. I’ve been around long enough to understand that.

“That decision is not up to me. I accept that and I will accept what comes my way. I have to wait to have those conversations with people when the time is right.

“If I don’t make it to a 1,000 games against Spurs, you might say that could only happen to me, but I don’t think it would be cruel. It’s just football.

“I am not going to be bitter or angry about anything, whatever happens. Of course there will be sadness if I lose my job, it’s the job I’ve wanted my whole life, certainly since I became a manager and as hard as it’s been, I have been enormously proud to be manager of Newcastle United. That will never change.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hits out at players in the Premier League that are yet to receive the Corona virus vaccine.

It has been a concern that few players have received the jab among the Premier League club.

The Reds manager claims that 99 percent of players in Liverpool have been vaccinated from the deadly virus.

He further added that he has received the vaccine and that is because he is concern about himself.

“I don’t understand why that is a limitation of freedom,” he said. “Because if it is, then not being allowed to drink and drive is a limitation of freedom as well – but we accept that.

“I got the vaccination because I was concerned about myself but even more so for everyone else around me.

“If I get it and suffer – my fault. If I get it and spread it around to everyone else – my fault and not their fault.”

“I think we can say we have 99% vaccinated,” added Klopp. “I didn’t have to convince the players, it was more a natural decision from the team.

“I can’t remember really talking to a player and convincing him why he should because I’m not a doctor.

“What I would give, like in a lot of other situations, would be my advice – but it was not necessary.”

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admits his side were not good enough as they suffer defeat in Turin in the Champions League.

The Blues were defeated by Juventus as the only goal from Chiesa gave the Italian side a well deserve victory.

“This is the way I look at it – if Thomas Tuchel, Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola were at Man Utd, they would have every single chance of winning the Premier League, it is as simple as that,” Merson added.

Anthony Joshua signs new deal that will keep him at Matchroom till the end of his career.
Professional boxer Anthony Joshua signed a new deal with Eddie Hearn as he prepares to fight Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday.

Joshua turned professional with Matchroom in 2013 when he became the unified heavyweight champion in 2013.

The deal will see the British born boxer remain with Eddie Hearn’s company with the remainder of his career.

Thomas Tuchel hope the club and Rudiger can come to terms as his contract at the club will expire at the end of the season.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has his say on the contract on central defender Toni Rudiger as the German’s contract will expire by the end of the season.

Rudiger has been in a fine form since the arrival of the new manager and Tuchel wants the club and player to find solution to that.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the game against Tottenham in the Premier League Tuchel said for now he has no news on the contract for now.

“In the moment it is between the club, the player and the agent. We hope we can find a solution, because he is playing some excellent football for us.

“He’s very calm, very focused and none of this is a distraction for him. Sometimes these things need a little bit of time but there is no news on this from my side. I think Toni feels very good at Chelsea.”

“It’s well deserved [the credit he is getting] because he always delivers when he plays. He feels the love from the supporters and he’s at a big club in Europe, playing in one of the best leagues and whatever happens will happen.

“I am relaxed about it and as I said earlier, it is between the club and the player’s representatives to find the solutions.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not bothered about the contract of the club’s forward Mohamed Salah as he says he is not involved in it.

The Egyptian’s have less than 2 years on his contract and his yet to commit himself to the club in a new deal.

Klopp while speaking with the media ahead of Crystal Palace game stated that the is more concerned with the Egyptian’s sharpness on the pitch.

“There’s nothing really to say, especially from me as I am not involved,” said Klopp.

“The only thing I’m really interested in is how Mo looks, how sharp and committed he is at the moment, and that’s absolutely spot on.

“He looks really good. There is nothing else to say.”

He further stated that club forward Roberto Firmino will be absent on Saturday clash against Crystal Palace with a hamstring injury.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has refused to apologise to City fans over his comment this weekend.

The Spaniard invited fans to show up against Southampton in the Premier League after 6-3 win over Leipzig in the Champions League.

It was stated that 38,062 fans were in attendance against the German side at the Etihad stadium as Guardiola calls for more fans to come out to support against Sutton.

Guardiola addressed general secretary of the supporters’ club in his press conference ahead of Southampton’s game.

“Mr Parker should review the comments. I will not apologise,’ Guardiola said.

“Did I say after the game that I was disappointed because the stadium was not full? Interpretation is interpretation. I’m not going to apologise. I am surprised at what has happened [since].

“When you play in the Champions League it is so tough, knowing that Southampton have had all week to prepare. I make an approach to do something together again.

“What I said is we would love the support, we need the support – 40,000 or 50,000 people.

“We need their support. I was incredibly grateful for the support we had. If you want to join us, we’ll be incredibly happy if you come.

“I prefer to be with my people than without. If they don’t come then it’s perfect. If you want to come, then it’s a pleasure.

“I’ve never had a problem with the fans. I am one of them. I try to do my best. I like to play in the Etihad with my fans. I know what my intention was.’
