Frederick Nwajagu, the ceremonial Eze Ndigbo Ajao estate, made a short video where he lamented that Igbo lives and businesses were being attacked in Lagos, and that Igbos need private security. He opined that IPOB should be brought to Lagos to protect Igbo businesses when they close for the day, to deter those attacking Igbos. He also said that Igbos are not trouble makers and are not fighting Yorubas, but that Igbos should be allowed to vote their choice.

At no time did he threaten anyone, at no time did he threaten violence, at no time did he encourage any violence, if anything, he was after security and peace

For that, the authorities arrested this man of almost 70 years old, and charged him with terrorism.

Had the Sarikin Fulani of Ikeja, if such exists, said the exact same thing Nwajagu said, would he have been arrested?

Had the Baale of Dolphin estate, if such exists, said the same thing Nwajagu said, would he have been arrested?

Nwajagu was targeted just for being an Igbo man

The stupidity of this case is truly baffling because you cannot be talking about terrorism, and the protection of life and property in the same breath. Terrorism is about the destruction of life and property, not the protection of it.

The only thing the authorities want to do is charge the old man to court so they can go on with their useless adjournments, same as they are doing with Nnamdi Kanu
