CelebritiesChidi Nwaogu Tells How He Set Guinness World Record For Longest Credit On A Book by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op): 5:55pm On Jun 05, 2019
Chidi Nwaogu began public speaking as a keynote speaker at IT Leaders West Africa Summit 2012, where he gave a 30-min lecture on the role of social media and mobile in developing nations. Today, Nwaogu speaks at several summits, conferences, and seminars around the world.
Why is Chidi Nwaogu trending in Nigeria right now?
Trending? I had no idea the name was trending. Or maybe because I’m outside Nigeria more often these days.
It is said that you broke a fresh Guinness world record. How did you achieve this?
It is a record for the longest credit on a book. It’s a single book with a credit section with at least 10,001 names of real people who have given their consent to be credited. I posted on LinkedIn to get the consent of 10,001 people and ended up with over 21,000 people’s consents.
It is a record for the longest credit on a book. It’s a single book with a credit section with at least 10,001 names of real people who have given their consent to be credited. I posted on LinkedIn to get the consent of 10,001 people and ended up with over 21,000 people’s consents.
What was the previous Guinness World Record or is it a fresh Guinness World Record?
It’s a fresh record. The Guinness World Record has a list of fresh records and already broken records. The longest credit on a book is one of the fresh records Guinness World Record has that hasn’t been broken before, so I took on the challenge.
How did you get to know about the record?
I checked out the Guinness World Record official website and went through the list of records unbroken and broken. And the longest credit on a book took my interest since I’m a writer and a publisher as well.

How did you apply for the Guinness World Record?
The Guinness World Record website has an application form to apply for any record. You just have to apply to break any record, and the Guinness World Record will get back to you if your application request was granted or not. It usually takes about 8 weeks for them to revert if a request to break a record was accepted or not

What criteria do you need to apply for any record?
The reason why you want to break the record, how you will positively impact your community while doing it, and most importantly the steps you’ll take to break the record. If they believe these, then your application will probably be accepted. It’s solely based on merit. However, if you want the review process to take a week and not eight weeks, then you can pay a small processing fee.

How did you go about breaking the record?
I made a post on LinkedIn asking for the consent of at least 10,001 people to include their name as credits on my book. I asked them to comment “count me” to indicate their interest and got 21,000+ comments asking to be part of the credits.

How long do you think your record can last considering people can get more on other social media like Instagram in a week?
I don’t know how long I will keep the record. What’s most important to me is that I wanted to break it and I did. Someone surpassing my record is normal. It shows that the world is getting better. Henry Ford manufactured the first commercial car. However, people manufactured better cars afterwards. It didn’t make Ford think his invention was surpassed. It only shows that the world is advancing and that’s good for me. It’s not all about me. It’s all about us.

Is the book that will win the longest credit on a book already out?
Not yet. But it will be out this quarter. Publiseer is the publisher of the book. That’s my publishing venture. The title of the book is “10 Laws of Finding the Right Co-founder”. It’s a book that outlines the qualities of a good co-founder and the strategies you need to adopt in order to find and keep the right co-founder.

Are you the only one trying to break this Guinness World Record?
Yeah, so far, that I’m aware of.

Have you reached out to Guinness World Record after getting the credits on the book from LinkedIn?
Yes. They are looking forward to the book.

Tell us some records that you have previously set already?
This is my first place breaking the Guinness World Record. We have records broken by Wizkid, Pinkie Debbie, DJ Obi and Kaffy. But I don’t know the title of the records they broke. But I’m sure if googled, you could know more about the individual records

Do you know you will be paid yearly for holding a Guinness World Record?
That’s untrue. The Guinness World Record doesn’t pay any record holder. I confirmed this from the committee. I think this is just a false perception of the Guinness World Record that has existed over the years.

What other false perception do people have about Guinness World Record that you know?
That they receive 2million dollars on breaking the record. Which is completely untrue.

What do record owners get apart from breaking the record?
They get a certificate from the Guinness World Record to show that they are officially recognized as the record holder. This can be added to your resume to indicate that you are an achiever that gets the impossible done when you put your mind to it. The Guinness World Record is more of an ego booster. It’s not a get rich scheme.

PropertiesRealtor Baruwa Talks About The Real Estate Industry In Nigeria by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op):
Numerous individuals are frightened of wandering into Real Estate business in Nigeria. This might be a result of the way that it is capital serious, the learning and data required to wander into it is a very much guided mystery to those in the Real Estate business. Loss of lives and properties while participating in the business is something that is areal hazard in the business in Nigeria. Likewise, numerous individuals are terrified of being cheated or as it is known being misled by the Omo Onile’s. We met a Realtor who happens to profit in this industry authentically. Baruwa Ibrahim happens to be somebody who knows a considerable amount about the business and he educates us concerning how he came to be known as Realtor Baruwa. His adoration for land caused him to procure this name. The Interview we at www.interviewstories.org had with him goes beneath.
Who is Baruwa Ibrahim?
Baruwa Ibrahim is a goal driven person who is passionate about success and also impacting into the world. I am a property investment consultant, I help millennials, the working class and also high net worth individuals acquire genuine properties with high capital appreciation in appreciable locations.
I am also the CEO of Right Properties Nigeria. I consult for Novarick Homes and Properties, the developers of the first Solar powered estate in Lagos(Earls Court), Landwey, Veritasi Homes and Properties, Christal Homes e.t.c I also do digital and content marketing for startups and established entrepreneurs.
How and when did you start your venture as a real estate consultant?
A neighbour (Mrs Chioma) introduced me to a real estate marketing group (Billionaire Realtors Group) in 2015, they partner with several reputable real estate companies in Nigeria to help them sell their properties to potential investors. I made my research on the industry and later fell in love with it not because of the commission but because I will be involved in the process of making people dreams come true and also using my expertise to make the property acquisition process hassle-free.
When did you start being Realtor Baruwa?
The name realtor Baruwa came when I found my love and passion for real estate. During the course of my research, I discovered that a realtor is a person who simplifies the process of buying properties for the buyer which is my value proposition. And also since been popularly known as Baruwa, I decided to coin the name for myself Realtor Baruwa.
How does one get involved in the real estate business in Nigeria?
There are various ways one can venture into the real estate business.
You can be a developer i.e companies/individuals that develop real estate or a real estate consultant like me, helping interested buyers acquire genuine properties. Another way is being an investor, whereby you purchase a property either for passive income or capital growth. Advanced ways like REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts) also exists. I have a lot of articles addressing this topic on my website realtorbaruwa.com.ng.
Is it not expensive to venture into real estate consultancy?
I won’t say it is expensive, basically, as a real estate consultant, you need to invest time and money in gaining knowledge about the industry and also basic marketing skills.
A lot of seminars are being organized to train people to be a good real estate consultant. Some paid, some free. You can start small with less capital intensive marketing campaigns and attending free seminars. Then as your revenue increases, you can opt in for both paid seminars and adopt large reach campaigns.
Which do your customers do more, either own the property you sell to them or resell it as a means of passive income?
Due to the large housing deficit in Nigeria, customers are subscribing to own a home than buying rental properties for passive income.
People now prefer to own their home than to rent even it is within a rural community.

How do we know that your business is not fake?
Realtor Baruwa partners with reputable companies in Nigeria which are registered with the government. Eliminating the fears of buying properties with bad titles, litigations and other encumbrances. Right Properties is a consulting agency that connects the potential investors with these companies and financial transactions are between these two parties.

What tips do you have to first-time property buyers?
They should be on the lookout for two vital things. Which are location and the genuineness of the property they intend to purchase? Proper property search should be done to ascertain whether the property is owned by the seller and also if the title documents are not fake. In the case of investment property, they should investigate if the property has the potentials of value appreciation in a short time.

How much is the least one can have to buy a property?
It depends on the location. My farm area are all metropolitan areas ie areas with projected growth. Lands sell for as low as four hundred and fifty thousand naira(₦450, 000) in Sterling Courts located in Agboowa, Ikorodu, Lagos. In Ogun, Silverton Gardens Simawa sells for seven hundred thousand naira (₦700, 000).

Do you sell land in different states of Nigeria or you have some selected states?
My farm areas are Lagos, Ogun, Ibadan, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Calabar. I also sell for some real estate companies in Dubai. The likes of Azizi, Damac and Vincintoire. A farm area is where/ the location a realtor operates.

What do you stand to gain from being a real estate dealer?
Real estate is a very lucrative business in Nigeria. Everybody in the chain of distribution gets their own share of this wonderful investment vehicle. From the developers to the investors and also we the middlemen are not left out.
Apart from the area of revenues, incentives and emoluments, you also gain to be someone’s confidant. Honesty and Integrity are two important traits you must have as a real estate consultant, it will really make you thrive in the industry.

What are the risks that you take as a real estate dealer?
The risk associated with being a real estate dealer includes selling a property with encumbrance to an investor and this can be avoided by doing due diligence on that property which means ascertaining that the seller has the right to sell ie a rightful owner and also that the property has good title documents.

How do more than one person collaborate to buy a property?
This alternative way of asset financing is also referred to as joint venture or Syndication. A real estate joint venture(JV) is a deal between multiple parties to work together and compile resources to develop a real estate project. The key aspects that must be addressed before a JV agreement includes; the distribution of profits among the parties, capital contribution, management and control and also exit mechanism.

Why should people patronize Realtor Baruwa?
Realtor Baruwa delivers a world-class service in securing legitimate properties to potential investors and other interested individuals. I prioritize customer satisfaction and value delivery in all transactions. Most of the properties I do market are owned by reputable real estate companies in Nigeria and not Omo Onile.

What problems have you encountered as a real estate dealer/consultant?
The major problem is potential investors not having trust in you as a realtor. I won’t say it is their fault, probably they have been swindled before or heard stories of how people have been defrauded by unscrupulous real estate agents. Thanks to the Nigerian government for promulgating laws that deals with any fraudulent land transactions and they are now stringent penalties for defaulters. That’s the main reason I market properties owned by real estate companies and if I want to sell for individuals, I would have done my due diligence.
Real estate education also is very low among potential investors as they disregard the investment opportunities in developing areas with the notions that these areas are not developed yet, waterlogged and have no prospects of development. I wrote an article on Land banking which has been an investment strategy most real estate billionaires around the world have been using.

How can students be involved in Real Estate?
Everybody wants something good, everybody wants real estate.
The main limiting factor is finance and it is more prominent among student as they don’t have a stable source of income that can finance a real estate investment.
Although, there are alternative options to finance the investment. The first one is syndication and it is an effective way for investors to pool their financial and intellectual resources to invest in properties than they could afford or manage on their own.
Real estate Wholesaling is another alternative option of financing. This is done by helping real estate companies market and they’re to their networks/sphere of influence in exchange for a commission. The proceeds gotten from this will then be channelled into buying an investment property. A sales commission can either enable you the means to pay in instalments or outrightly depending on the volume of sales and property type.

What are the services you provide for prospective buyers that other realtors do not provide?
What sets me aside from other real estate consultants is that I take my time to align my client’s interest to an investment property. For example, a client might be interested in passive income over capital growth. I will advise this client to purchase a rental residential or commercial property rather than buying landed properties.
And also I provide and recommend educational materials to my clients to see them through a successful investment sojourn.

Do you accept cash or bank transfer for your transactions?
The financial transaction is done between the real estate company and the investor. And these companies have their banks accounts interested buyers pay into after filling the subscription form.

Have you committed any error that was hard to rectify since you started being a real estate dealer?
I will say no because as a professional you have to make smart decisions.
Not that I haven’t committed any error before, but not the ones that are hard to rectify.

What advice do you have to people with trust issues about real estate in Nigeria?
It is ok to have trust issues with a venture you do not know much about.
That’s why I always advocate for real estate education. I do that a lot on my social media handles and website. It is hard to fall victim to fraudsters and other bad outcomes of real estate investment if one is not well informed. Working with tested and trusted professionals can also mitigate the risk of loss of investment.

What should all prospective buyers consider before thinking of buying a property?
This first factor they should consider is the location. Location is very essential to every real estate investment because it is the factor that will determine whether your intended investment strategy will thrive or not.
Let’s say you are planning to reside in a property with your family, you have to consider if the location has a good school district, recreational places, supermarkets and also of it is accessible.
Another factor to consider is the budget. Can they afford the investment property, if not do they have access to mortgage or other alternative financing options?

Have you ever had to deal with legal issues before?
No, I haven’t. Once you are doing your due diligence as a real estate consultant, there won’t be any legal issues. Even if it erupts, the verdict will be in your favour.

What advice do you have for students in tertiary institutions?
As students, they should all be thinking of their future and working towards being a 21st-century graduate.
They should take an interest in developing vital soft skills, time management and interpersonal skills and also network with industry leaders.I starte real estate consulting when I was in 300 level and I can say the skills and networks I have acquired have been helpful. They can also start very early so that by the time they graduate, they are valuable to the labour market. They can invest in Real Estate. If they don’t have access to personal financing, they can access the alternative financing option I talked about earlier. Syndication and real estate wholesaling.

What skills do you have that made it easy for you to manage your business effectively?
Content Marketing and Digital Marketing skills. These are vital skills every entrepreneur of the modern age most have. The world is online, your target market is online. How do you intend to reach them if you aren’t? Other skills I have include sales and prospecting skills.

What skills are you thinking of acquiring to improve your skills?
Basic financial skills like bookkeeping and also managerial skills.

Do you think every successful person needs to participate in politics?
No, we have people that are not in politics that are impacting the world with their philanthropic and innovative activities. So many foundations, academy and NGOs are coming up every day.

How can people acquire funds for their startup?
There are different methods to fund startups. If you can’t bootstrap, approach venture capitalist and angel investors.
There are also many grants and funding opportunities online. Prepare your pitch deck and business plan and access those channels

What do you think is the greatest problem that entrepreneurs have?
I will say enabling environment. The business environment in Nigeria is not conducive for entrepreneurs. I will advise the government to pass bills that will create an enabling and conducive environment for entrepreneurs to thrive in.

Do you think every business must have a strong online presence?
Yes. The world is online and almost everybody has a smartphone. You can reach your target market online either via organic reach or promoted campaigns.

What do you think the government needs to do to encourage more entrepreneurs in society?
Helping entrepreneurs start and thrive is a win-win situation for the government. Local businesses help support the tax base through businesses taxes and through the wages provided to employees. The possibility of workforce expansion and economic growth increases with more entrepreneurs in the country.

BusinessWhy Playfre Is Better Than Spotify by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op):
Not many people can be serial entrepreneurs in Nigeria. While many music artists are only good at music, very few do things that are also hot like programming. InterviewStories.org met Chika Nwaogu twin brother of Chidi Nwaogu, a gospel artist who is also Guinness World Record holder for “the longest officially released song” and also a change maker. InterviewStories had an interview with Chika Nwaogu and he talked about Playfre, Africa’s first real answer to Spotify that can bring over 45 million songs to Africans at no charge.

Can we meet you?
I am Chika Nwaogu and I am an internet entrepreneur, computer programmer, gospel singer, record producer, Guinness World Record holder for “the longest officially released song”, Keynote speaker at the IT leaders West African summit, Wazobia gospel artiste of the week, and a Top Naija music awards nominee.
You are well known as a programmer, what else do you do?
Actually I will say that isn’t entirely true. A good number of people don’t even know I am a geek, they only know me as that gospel singer that broke the Guinness world record last year. To answer your question, apart from being a computer programmer, I am a singer, a songwriter and a record producer.

How long have you been an entrepreneur?
Since the age of 16, so I will say 13 years ago. I began building internet companies at 16 with the creation of my now-defunct video game company; 9ja Boi Interactive, which I co-founded with my twin brother.

Can you tell us a little about your entrepreneurial journey.
It first began with developing video games. The first video game I developed was with my twin, and it was titled “Save the Admiral”. It was a 2D space shooter adventure game. After that we develop a couple of more game under the outfit 9ja Boi interactive; this was before our days at the University of Lagos.
Getting to Unilag, our interest changed; it was here we created. LAGbook — a social network initially created for students of the University of Lagos. It grew faster than we expected and in no time, we expanded to include the youth demographics in Africa. LAGbook gre to a million registered users in 3 years and we subsequently sold it to a Canadian tech company in 2013. Since then, my twin and I have successfully created, grown and sold two successful internet companies.

You just launched a new project, “Playfre”, what was the motivation behind the project?
Spotify and many other big music streaming platforms have not yet opened their doors to most African countries because of the weak intellectual property laws in these parts of the world, thus making these awesome apps unavailable to the African demographic. Those who have opened their doors to us, still charge monthly to stream unlimited music. Because of this, I embarked on developing what will become Africa’s first real answer to Spotify, that will bring the over 45 million songs on Spotify to Africans at no charge, with the same Spotify experience.

Is this your first public project?
No this isn’t. But it will be my first public project alone.

Tell us a little about your previous projects.
Like I have already mentioned before, it all started with game development (9ja Boi Interactive), then to social networking (LAGbook), music and book publishing (Publiseer), and now music streaming (Playfre).

What are some challenges that you faced while working on your previous projects?
Electricity was a major setback in our first project, because we were 16 and had no money to get power on whenever we wanted. So we basically waited for electricity to work on our games. It was a really difficult time, but then it also taught so time management. While running LAGbook we knew little or nothing about business, so it was difficult turning our traffic into real money; this at some point forced us to sell. Eventually we had to learn the business side of a tech company, because at first all we knew was the technical know-how and nothing about the business aspect. So it taught us a lot of what we know about running a successful tech business today.

This project seems to be done by only you. Was there no input from your twin-brother unlike the previous ones?
Yeah this is my sole project, though Chidi have been very supportive in my journey so far with Playfre. In 2017, I took time off Publiseer in its early stages to work on my music. I am a music person and it was only naturally I created Playfre for music lovers such as myself. That same year I got the idea to create Playfre and I nurtured that idea ever since. When my music felt like it was beginning to pay off, I felt it was time to launch Playfre.

What challenges did you face working on Playfre?
They weren’t much challenges as I have already been involved with a lot of internet companies and already know my stuff very well. So unlike other internet companies in the past, Playfre was more like a walk in the park. It was fun all the way.

What are your projections for Playfre in a year?
We are already the Largest music streaming service in Africa in terms of music catalogue. Though I project it having over 100,000 registered users, and at least 10,000,000 streams; that is 100 streams per user. I project it being the one stop destination for any music lover in Africa.

You broke a world record for the longest released track. Tell us about it.
That was in 2018, around May. My gospel music career was less than a year old then and I wanted to do something extraordinary that will distinguish me from the other gospel artist who were up and coming. I wanted to attempt the impossible and I eventually did. It was one of the most exciting things I have ever done in my life. I had to write over 60 verses and record a song that was 4hr plus long; a feat that seemed impossible at first. All my hard work paid off and I was the talk of the media; both print and television. That was how I got my little break in the gospel music scene.
Having been involved in a number of successful projects, what are the peculiar problems facing businesses (especially tech businesses) in Nigeria?
The biggest problem tech entrepreneurs face today is the lack of passion for what they are doing. Many of them venture into a certain niche because it is the niche that currently receives a bulk of the investments. For example I remember back then when ecommerce was the thing, everyone was doing it until it no longer became the thing—and then fintech and agro-tech became the new ecommerce and everyone wanted to be part of this booming niche.
Many of them weren’t passionate about their startup, they were only interested in the money they can get from investors. Eventually when this money isn’t coming as fast as they wanted, they make their exit. This is one of the major causes of failed internet startups in Nigeria today. The idea was right, but the passion was wrong.

In your own opinion which is more important to a young entrepreneur: Mentorship or Funding?
I will say mentorship. A good mentorship can bring about funding, I mean a person can be mentored on how to create a great business that attracts investors. Funding is just money and anyone can give you money, but not anyone can mentor you. You need the right kind of mentorship for the right kind of business. Someone who is a well established banker cannot mentor a budding internet entrepreneur. Not anyone can mentor you, but anyone with money can fund you. So mentorship over funding.

So what should we expect next from Chika Nwaogu?
For now it is Playfre. How to make Playfre better and a leader in the music streaming industry in Africa. I want to change the way Africans listen and consume music and I am going to do it!

Any advice for young entrepreneurs?
Stay focused, energetic, and motivated. Energy rightly applied can accomplish anything!

Each of this companies have received several local and international recognition, awards and shortlistings among which include but not limited to Top 100 fastest growing SMEs in Nigeria (Award by Business Day Media and Bossman Nigeria), 100 African Startup Initiative (Program by International Finance Corporation- World Bank Group and MICC Egypt), Y Combinator Startup School Batch 2018, Pitch and Win by Sterling Bank and EDC, Lagos Business School (First batch 2019), 6 Top African Startup by Africa Com 2018, Top 30 African Tech Startup by Accenture 2018 and Future of Work Awards (Flexible Working Category by Royal Society of Arts UK).
How has your university degree helped your businesses?

My background as an accountant having studied Accounting during my undergraduate degree has contributed meaningfully to my business. One of the key metrics of measuring business success aside social impact is profitability (revenue, users etc). This has a lot to do with numbers and the survival of every business lies in her ability to make effective decisions with the numbers. Accounting as a first degree has helped a great deal even though I rarely practice now on a commercial scale.
Tell us about Regalo Kitchen and Confectionery Limited that you co-founded?

Regalo Kitchen and Confectionery Limited was birthed in 2015, although it was officially registered in 2018 in Nigeria. Regalo Kitchen started out providing catering services for busy working professionals and corporate organisations. Between 2015 till date, they have been able to service notable companies among which include but not limited to Guaranty Trust Bank, Paystack, Paga, Stanbic IBTC and Ag Leventis Nig.

In 2018, the company decided to include a social enterprise strategy in order to contribute meaningfully towards the Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria and thus help reduce unemployment and underemployment. In 2018 alone, the company was able to train over 150 candidates with various catering soft skills to launch out into entrepreneurship through her Regalo Master Class. Regalo Kitchen and Confectionery Limited emerged top 100 fastest growing SMEs in Nigeria for 2018 (Award by Business Day Media and Bossman Nigeria).

The next milestone for Regalo Kitchen is to introduce the Uber Eat model in Nigeria in a refined way to meet the needs of the market and also expand her training facility to train 100,000 youths and women with various soft skills by year 2023.
How was it starting your first company?

Starting my first company was rough, I was poorly informed and prepared for the journey. Just fresh out of school having tested the waters of buying and selling back in school with great success. The bigger market however was a totally different base to operate. My first company was Regina La Meilleur Limited which I incorporated in 2012 with several products among which included Home Tutors Nigeria, RLM Network among others. We have gone through several stages of iterations and finally got a product market fit while some products scrapped and some up for sale with some investors
Did any experience or position you held at school made it easier to solve some problems that you have encountered since you have started?

Interesting question, I have always taken up several leadership roles where I have been privileged to serve so obviously they have all added up in helping me lead and see through project executions. For example, I could remember heading the Academic Committee in my final year for the accounting department and the impact our work had on the outcome of results produced that year. My opinion is that every opportunity to serve one way or the other adds value to you for higher responsibilities

Did you ever thought of getting a government job after school?

Well, government job never really crossed my mind but I wanted to work within a structured multinational firm in order to give me the basic knowledge and network for my entrepreneurial journey and yes I did get that opportunity with Stanbic IBTC within the short period spent with them.
How easy was the transition from the University into business?

As stated earlier, It was rough initially due to little or no solid foundation (capacity development and funding). Capacity development and funding are key ingredient that makes a difference in the life of every entrepreneur especially in Nigeria with all our uniqueness. The average Nigerian youth or student has got great ideas that got potentials for success, however they lack the capacity and funding to see it through.

Capacity development has to do with basic solid knowledge, requirements to start and make a business succeed. The ability to get a product market fit and talk to the market to know the viability of the idea and then how to secure funding in terms of finance to run for the period of little or no revenue flow
What do you do as COO for Proville?

As the Chief Operating Officer for Proville, I saddled with three (3) tasks; effective day to day administration and operation of the company. Maintaining our brand equity that builds opportunities for investment, collaborations and partnership and lastly drive revenue for the business through effective coordination of all stakeholders of the company. These three tasks contributes majorly to business growth and success.
What service(s) does Proville provide?

Proville from the name stands for Professional hub or Villa. Our flagship product; Proville.net connects professionals with clients who need their services. We act as a bridge to close the demand supply gap that exists within the professional or would you rather say freelance niche in Africa.

So let’s say you need a web developer for a project, all you need to do is go on proville.net and post your project and budget and wait to receive offers from our pool of professionals. The same applies to all professional services and once you are ready, you assign the project to the best fit professional freelancer with assurance that all payments are done through our escrow model (a secure payment option that avails you security and you only part with money when you are satisfied) with the service you have received.

How frequently do people use Proville?

Proville is used on a daily basis with several jobs started and completed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Some jobs or projects however takes long time frame but you can be rested assured that jobs are always ongoing.

Why is Proville better than her competitors?

Our competitors are the likes of Upwork, Freelancer, Findworka, Workdesk, Tera Work, Asuqu and several others. Proville however in Nigeria as a freelance platform has the first mover advantage as we have taken the lead in educating and sensitizing the public on the viability of freelance platforms like ours as it aligns with the Future of Smart Work across Africa. We also collaborate with the vision of International notable societies such as Royal Society of Arts (UK) towards advancing flexible working options in Nigeria and Africa.

How are you able to manage being a cofounder of 59 One Kiosk Africa Limited?

Success comes with more responsibilities and little time for self if not well managed. Time management plays a vital role here and luckily the team are very effective and organised. Also we are in project mode with launch date set for June 2019

What does 59 One Kiosk Africa Limited do?

One Kiosk Africa; onekioskafrica.com was birthed to introduce a develop model to eCommerce in Nigeria and across Africa. We are an eCommerce business with a different business model that ensures that goods and services are delivered within 59 minutes to the customers while creating employment along the e-commerce value chain. Our solutions has the potentials to create 100,000 jobs by December 2019 given our set projections.

Most of these companies are online, how important is one’s business being online in the present world?

First of all, I always love to say that any business that cannot leverage on technology one way or the other is not ready for a sustained business over the next five (5) years. Technology has to do with the net and as such every business need to align accordingly. Brick and Mortar stores would still be essential but less active compared to online channels within the next 5 years.
What problems have you encountered as an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurs first major challenge is finding a product market fit for their idea. This takes quite a lot of our time and once found we then move on to the problem of scaling the business. There is also that challenge of having a work life balance as everything at the beginning seems to rover around you.

Adeshina Adewumi is the Chief Operating Officer for Proville.net
Adeshina Adewumi, a successful entrepreneur.

This challenges can however be shortened by talking to your target market during design, development and beta stages of your solutions. Building partnerships, collaborations and opportunities for investments and lastly delegating power or would I rather say empowering your team to work effectively with or without you

What do you want to tell young entrepreneurs that are just starting?

Talk to your sample market audience, do not be afraid that your idea would be stolen, I believe in the school of thought that there is nothing new under the sun. Implementation and execution makes the difference. Get mentors, do not be discouraged when you get a No, a yes is just around the corner and never give up on yourself. The world needs your idea and solution to materialise, give returns and make social impacts

Do you advise students to try their ideas or start ups in school or wait till after graduation?

Well, I would suggest they can start building capacity early enough and thus they can test their ideas while in school as long as they are able to manage their time well. Most renown business were birthed when their founders were within the university age bracket or in college. So it’s a very good time to start building capacity and test the viability of your idea or solution
Do you advise people to drop out to pursue their dream?

I would usually not support dropping out of school to pursue your dream, however my counsel would depends on various factors. A lot in changing within the educational sector and how people learn and grow, I try not to emphasize too much of academics but education (which for me the later is continuous as we keep learning and growing). Ideas or dreams as you called it has a way of clouding your mind, it literally feels as though all your life depends on it and nothing else counts.

This feeling is what every entrepreneur goes through and that’s why you see people drop out or resign from their jobs to start that idea. This feeling must, however, be very well managed and decisions are taken objectively with the right foundation laid (Knowledge and Capacity). This question is a very broad topic that cannot be discussed in full here, those interested can reach out to book a session with me.

Do you think entrepreneurs needs mentors?

The answer to this question is quite similar to asking if a tyres need air? If you want to go far, you must have people you can inspire you and support you out of their wealth of experience. Having a mentor is not rocket science, it’s a deliberate art.

Any special skill you think entrepreneurs must have to be successful

Tenacity is one skill that I would suggest for all entrepreneurs, it produces patience and commitment against all odds to succeed. The entrepreneurial journey is not a straight road, anyone that tells you its a straight road either has not gone through it or is lying. There are however principles that guide success and once applied with tenacity the result shows itself.

How can young people who will love to ask you questions be able to contact you?

This question makes it look as though I am old. I am very young in mind and age. Readers out there can however reach out to me via LinkedIn (my most active platform)- https://www.linkedin.com/in/adeshina-adewumi-john-frsa-8512b06a/ or ajadewumi on any social media platform. You can also mail me directly at ajadewumi@gmail.com , I try to respond to all my emails.
CareerPubliseer CEO Chidi Nwaogu Tells His Story by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op): 12:54am On Mar 05, 2019
Can we meet you?
I’m Chidi Nwaogu, a Nigerian serial Internet entrepreneur, computer programmer, Westerwelle Fellow 2019, SensX Fellow 2017, recipient of OD Young Person of the Month Honour (for November 2018), winner of Startup World Cup Nigeria Regional Competition 2019, first place winner of OD Impact Challenge 2018/2019, and a shortlisted candidate for Yunus&Youth Global Fellowship Program for Social Entrepreneurs 2019.

I started my entrepreneurial journey when I was 16 with the creation of 9ja Boi Interactive, a video game development company. Today, I’m Co-founder and CEO of Publiseer, a digital publishing platform for African Creatives, described by Konbini, as "one of the largest digital publishers in Africa" and identified by IFC as one of the startups "that could speed up innovation in Africa." Publiseer was listed in ModernGhana's "List Of 10 African Innovations For January 2019".

My startups have been featured on several national and international media publications, like Africa Business Review, TechCrunch, TechZulu, IT News Africa, Konbini, PC Tech Magazine, IT Web Africa, Ventures Africa, Ventureburn, Music in Africa, Actualitté, CIO East Africa, Pulse, Technext, Tech In Africa, Techmoran, Disrupt Africa, and Techpoint, for their strides in the tech ecosystem.

Since I was 19, I’ve co-founded, grown and sold two Internet companies, including LAGbook, a social network that garnered over 1-million registered users within three years. As a programmer, I’ve been learning to code since I was 13. Today, I’m proficient in five programming languages, with JS and PHP taking the lead.

I’m a West-African Representative of FasterCapital, a startup incubator based in UAE. I began public speaking as a keynote speaker at IT Leaders West Africa Summit 2012, where I gave a 30-minute lecture on the role of social media and mobile in developing nations. Today, I speak at several summits, conferences, and seminars around the world.

Did you ever start any company at the university?

Yes, I started LAGbook while studying at the University of Lagos.

Can you tell us about your former company Ladies And Gentlemen book popularly referred to as LAGbook?

At the age of 19, I co-founded, built, and organically grew LAGbook (otherwise known as Ladies And Gentlemen book) with my twin brother. LAGbook grew from zero to over one million registered members in less than three years. It was initially created for students of the University of Lagos but later expanded to the youth demographic (18 - 30 years) in Africa.

The social network was acquired by the Canadian technology company, Gulf Pearl Ltd. for $10,000 in January 2013. LAGbook was featured on TechCrunch for garnering 30,000 new members in less than six months, and on African Business Review for signing an eight-week advertising deal with the multinational company, BlackBerry.

LAGbook happened to have been one of Africa's largest social networking website, why did you sell such a great idea?
We sold it because we wanted a fresh breath of air into it. We had taken it to the peak we wanted to take it to, and now, it needed someone else to take it even further.

Can you tell us about what is special about LAGbook?
LAGbook was a social discovery network that wanted to help you meet new people every day, and not limit you to the people already in your life.

Can you tell us about PRAYHoUSe?
After LAGbook, I co-founded PRAYHoUSe with my twin brother, an online Christian prayerdirectory of more than 10,000 prayers from the Scripture. I organically grew PRAYHoUSe fromzero to over 200,000 users in less than six months. In March 2014, PRAYHoUSe was acquiredby American non-profit organization, Ten Doves Charity, for $37,500.

PRAYHoUSe another company you founded attracted over 200,000 users in less than six months, what made it be so popular?

PRAYHoUSe was helping Christians who wanted to pray but didn't have the right words to say, to pray according to the Word of God so that He may listen. It grew virally because people finally had something that could help them pray every day, touching various aspects of their life, without being lost of words.

Did you sell PRAYHoUSe and LAGbook at the same time?
LAGbook was acquired in January 2013 and PRAYHoUSe was acquired in March 2014.

Did you regret selling the company?
No, we don’t.

Do you think you could have sold it for a higher price?
You can always sell something at a higher price if you come across someone who is willing to pay higher. So, yes, we think that we could have sold it for a higher price, but we are still okay with what we sold them for.

After selling your first company, why did you sell the other company?
We are serial entrepreneurs. We create startups. It’s a way of lifestyle. We create, we grow them to profitability and then we sell it, and start another one.

What mistakes did you not make when selling the first company that you did not make when selling the second company?
We sold PRAYHoUSe who wanted to keep it the way it was and continue growing it, while the person we sold LAGbook didn't want to continue with it as it was. He had other plans for it, which didn’t really make us happy. But that’s life. We can’t be always happy with people’s decisions.

Do you think you could have still managed the company if you did not sell those companies?
Yes, of course.

Did those companies you started have anything in common with what you studied at school?
Not at all. We studied Physics.

What did you wish you were taught in school that you had to learn after school?
Entrepreneurship.

What do you think is entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle. It’s a way of life. It’s the urge to create something amazing out of absolutely nothing. It’s the urge to solve a problem, rather than complain about it.

Any special attribute or skill makes an entrepreneur succeed?
Humility.

You started Publiseer in 2017 have you reached all the landmarks you wanted to reach in 2019?
We have reached milestones we didn’t plan for. We are happy with where we are, and we’re working hard to get even further. There’s always room for improvement and advancement.

How easy was starting Publiseer after selling your previous companies?
It wasn’t easy. It took a lot of planning and sleepless nights.

Can you tell us about Publiseer?
Publiseer is a digital publisher that helps African writers and musicians from low-income communities to distribute and monetize their creative works across over 400 digital stores in 100 countries, with just a single click and at no charge.

How many staff members do you have? 6

What do you think your staff members think about you?
They see me as a friend, rather than a boss.

How much do you appreciate criticism?
Criticism is the source of growth. I take constructive criticism with a welcome embrace and grow from it.

Do you make enough profit from the services you render at Publiseer?
Publiseer became profitable after eight months from inception.

What has entrepreneurship given you that a normal office job could not give you?
The freedom to take initiatives and risks, fail and learn from it. Failure is success when you learn from it.

What problem is Publiseer solving?
Many budding authors and musicians in Africa live on a dollar per day, just as in any third world nation, and thus cannot afford to publish, promote, protect and monetize their creative works by paying for it. Thus these breath-taking works remain undiscovered for years and the gifts of these talented Creatives are put to waste. Some of these Creatives often have their works stolen or plagiarized without any due settlement.

Publiseer let independent African writers and musicians from low-income communities, to publish, protect, promote and monetize their creative works on 400+ partner stores in 100 countries, at no charge, with a single click. Our partner stores include Amazon, Google Play, Apple store, Barnes & Noble, Spotify, Kobo and Deezer. These Creatives can monitor their performance across all stores using our centralized dashboard.

How do you monetise your solution?
When a unit of any work (book, audiobook, song and music video) is sold, Publiseer shares in the revenue generated.

Have you ever regretted being an entrepreneur?
Never.

Do you think doing business in Nigeria is better for Publiseer than doing business outside Nigeria?
Nigeria has a lot of problems, and this is good for an entrepreneur because it means there is a lot of problems to solve.

BusinessDecision Making A Major Skill For Success by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op): 12:45pm On Feb 20, 2019
We all make choices everyday of our lives. These choices may be good or bad. But one thing is certain, we all make decisions. Decision making takes place everyday when we have more than one choice to make. Waking up early is a decision that many people have to make in other to survive or excel above others. Some other people make decisions to always stay up till late at night.

Why is decision making important? This question is one that we might not have thought of before but the question might prove difficult to answer because we never thought we can be asked this question. The question is not one that has a universally correct answer. Decision making like the name suggest is about making decisions. Some people make decisions because they feel without making them their lives might be worse than the present state they are. Others make decisions because they want to move forward. Some other people make decisions because they feel they can not just sit down and do nothing. But the most popular reason people make decision is because they want to take charge of their life.

Most successful people have made the right decisions at the right time a lot. Businesses have failed all because of decisions. But why is decision making so important in man’s life? It is because God has given man the chance to choose. We have heard of people who converted a single opportunity they got and became highly successful. Some other people have regretted the decisions they made not because they made those decisions but because they believe they could have made better ones.

Having an idea is great. Making a decision to make that idea come to life is a better. How one manages the idea to blossom is a major decision people have to make. Who benefits from the decisions we make? We benefit from the decisions we make most of the time. This is why most people believe allowing God to guide us will make us to choose the best. Just like every military general wants to win every battle he fights. He has the chances of winning at a minimal loss, winning with heavy casualty and not doing anything. While few military generals will want to loss a battle, it might sometimes be the best choice to make in other to win a war. A battle is just a small fragment of a war. Surviving to fight another day is paramount to some mission.

While many people see bonanzas and promo done by business owners as a means of short changing the seller. The seller sees it as a way of getting more prospective buyers that will become their regular customer in the long run. The decision to make loss initially by these businesses may in fact yield the best result the business ever wanted.

InterviewStories have decided to make some important decisions. Decisions that will benefit the society at large. At InterviewStories, we have decided to help business owners get more publicity, we have also decided to help motivate startups and business owners who are just starting. We have also decided to tell people’s story to encourage them to make better decisions in the future.

EducationAre Universities Problems Really Solved? by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op): 1:49pm On Feb 08, 2019
Most people that knows one or two about politics will know that everything can be turned into a political game. It can be in the office, churches or even schools. To those that not all these places practice politics, I will give you a scenario where politics is played in these organizations. At office, people lobby to get promotion and when two people are equally qualified for the position the one that is better at the game eventually gets the limited slot. Churches are wonderful places to be put when it is time for election into some positions or appointment into some other positions, politics is a very strong weapon to use. At schools, Student play politics and their teachers know the game better than the students.

As at yesterday, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) suspended the over three month strike they embarked on. The strike was not called off if you thought so, the strike was suspended which means they can resume anytime they feel that government are no longer planning to accept their request.

The ASUU National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi who announced the suspension, however, said that the union had embarked on the strike to “stem the continued slide into rot and decay in public universities since the 1980s.”

Ibadan is the largest city in West Africa. The only public university in Ibadan is University of Ibadan. While you might ask about Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, we say that it is in another city in Oyo state called Ogbomoso. The Technical University, Ibadan might also be involved in the struggle that ASUU embarked on but their voices were not as strong as that of the University of Ibadan.

University of Ibadan happens to be extremely loyal to ASUU, this is so because the University of Ibadan is the oldest university in Nigeria. We all know an Ibadan man does not shy away from a fight and perhaps that made the University of Ibadan ASUU to always take charge during any ASUU struggle.

ASUU president Dr. Biodun Ogunyemi gave the conditions for the suspension of the strike and what can make the union to use the strike action again.

While it is obvious that the terms and conditions of ASUU has not been fully met by government, it is to be noted that government has never been sincere in honouring their agreement with the body. Government have released a certain amount of money to ASUU during this strike period. A question that should be asked is if there was no strike action by theses academic sound group consisting of Ibadan men and women will government release that amount or even release the amount released? The answer is obviously no. The Buhari led Federal Government might think they have won a war by resolving this problem after three whole months. The reality is it would have been better if the issue was resolved earlier as a lot of properties have been lost or destroyed. It is sometimes better to lose a battle with very casualties than win the battle with heavy casualties. The present government won this war with heavy casualties.

While students have started going back to their various schools today, it should be noted that the Buhari led administration will likely lose at virtually all polling units in the Universities. About 25% registered voters are students and most of these students happen to be at the receiving end of the battle between government and ASUU and will express their displeasure at the present government during the presidential general election that is to hold in few days time.

I believe that the education sector is the most important ministry in any government. It is more important than defense or agriculture. Yet Nigeria allocates so little to this sector. After allocating so little to the sector, government expects the body to be able to compete globally. This is not possible. It is just like giving an army wooden swords to use to fight another army with real swords. Obviously it will be too easy for the army with the better swords in the battle. That is the case of our education system in Nigeria.

We as a nation can not afford to continue playing with our future. We need to start seeing this country as our own. We have no other nation to call ours. A problem truly solved can not come back to hunt us because we now know the solution. We need to give more attention to the Universities to make Nigeria a better place.

EducationAcquire A Skill This Year by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op):
While many people are currently working, some of them lack the skills needed to be in the position where they currenty are. While some are overqualified for the jobs they currently have and are said to be underemployed.

Wait a minute, while should someone be qualified and others should be under-qualified. Is it because of education, maybe but it is to be noted that most job seekers these days are master holders already in a bid to improve the chances of being employed. Perhaps it is vocational skills, but no we are not talking about that here. Then what makes most qualified, most under-qualified and few over-qualified? The answer is not far fetch if you read the header of this article. It is the skill they possess.

Skill is defined as the ability to do something well. It shows that you are equipped well enough to perform some tasks or assignment because you have acquired the expertise to do those stuffs. While we are not here to belittle some skills, we will be biased to pick some skills here because those are some of the skills that some of us know or are aware of and have either acquired them or about to acquire them.

Nigeria is so blessed with human resources that most Nigerians outside the country are actually leaders in the field where they are. But why is it that Nigerians in Nigeria are said to be unemployable by Nigerians whereas other Nigerians outside of Nigeria are overqualified for most jobs they do unless we want to down play their capability?

Well, the answer is here. The answer is skills. Most Nigerians are not flexible unless they are forced to. In schools, work is said to be done when movement occurs. I might not have defined it the way it is
written in textbook but I am sure I will be marked right by any qualified science teacher who knows what work is.

There are a lot of skills that you can actually learn but it is best to learn only one at a time. This is because, it is best to be master of a skill than knowing many without being able to use the skill the way it should be.

We will discuss some skills that we believe that most people can do and be sure that their jobs are secured.

Software Development: While we will not talk about mobile development in this segment, we will definitely talk about website development. Software development is a wide field that will be relevant till a long time. Examples of people that work in this segment includes: Graphics designers, programmers, project managers, SEO experts etc. While it might take a very long time to be a professional in whatever aspect one takes. It is to be noted that people in this field are paid heavily and they have flexible working hours depending on the company or individual they work for. While it is very possible that most of them do not pay tax, we advise that Nigerians who will be or are in this field should please start paying taxes in other to develop Nigeria as this is a major source of income for government. Things like programming language, framework, Content Management System etc are common terminologies that are being used in this field.

Cybersecurity: While many people are yet to discover the gold in Software development in Nigeria, it appears that cybersecurity makes the gold of Software Development to look like bronze in front of a jewellery expert. This is expected because people will always take security as the most important thing in any project. It has been jokingly said by some experts that if World War III is to be happen which we do not hope to happen, it will be fought on cyberspace which is going to be the battleground. People that can fight will include hackers, network administrators, etc. Leaving the joking part, no one will love their data to be stolen as data breach is not a desired event. In fact, those good in this area are consultants for many big companies. It is believed that FaceBook pays $5,000 for a bug discovered by anyone and that they employ the best guys to help protect their application. Things that people in this field will get use to will include terminologies like Linux which happens to be an Operating System just like Windows but used by people in that field, Kali a version or flavour of Linux, terminal where you can make or mar devices including yours if you do not know what you are doing there, it is said that Network Engineers are also next door neighbors to these guys. While many people see those in this field as bad guys, it is to be noted that they are actually the good guys and are they are like cops that are to sent to infiltrate the bad guys camps.

Video Editing: While YouTube happens to be the second most visited website in the world after Google that owns both of them, it is to be noted now that the new way of learning is now video. It is said that to hid something from a man, put it in a book but it appears that only worthless materials are kept in books these days. Everything is being made in a video, from how to eat a banana to how to build google everything appears to be on this platform. Since a lot of videos are on this platform, the best videos are given preference by the customers that will eventually use them. This is one of the reasons why video editors are needed. Video editors are also needed in advertising companies, and are core members of any social media team of any brand. Before the internet was popular in this part of the world, some Chinese movies and Indian movies happens to have a lot of film tricks like we use to say then but we never knew it was the works of video editors.

Communication: Learning to communicate effectively is the most important skill in a communication driven-economy, and it is one of the top skills that employers are looking for. While you might think there is no money in this field, I wish to say there is more than enough in this and I will not love to debate this because that is not the purpose of this article. Communication seems to be hard to a lot of people. Communication includes how to respond and write an email message, using social media, LinkedIn, how to pass messages to other people. It is said that Alexander the Great killed one of his mentor pupils who was with him during one of his military campaign. While the pupil must be very brilliant for him to attend to a king, it appears he never had this skill or he was tutored a little in this field. There are alot of motivational speakers who are paid to talk at programmes and events. Those handling social media account of organisations happen to be very good communicators.

If there is any skill you can learn or acquire this year, it must be this skill as it’s importance cannot be overemphasized.
Financial Skills

Financial Skills: While many people do not see this as a skill, it seems it is this skill that differentiate two people who have the same income per annual yet one seems to be poor while the other happens to be rich. Financial skills involves making the right decision. It involves learning how to make important decisions like taking safe risk investment, purchasing luxurious goods only when one can afford it, buying more of assets rather than liabilities. While this might happen to be the hardest to teach skill, it appears that this skill is needed every now and then and one can not do without it for one to be successful.

Some CBT centers in the nation where the registration is to take place are having technical issues and could not register candidates on the first day of registration. After creating the profile, a 10 digit profile code will be sent to their phone number which will be used to purchase the application document at the point of purchase. PoliticsHow I Collected My PVC At Ibadan North Local Government by GENERALSEIFDAN1(op): 11:25am On Dec 18, 2018
I was determined to collect my Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) at all cost. I happened to be one of the few students of University of Ibadan that recently got registered as a voter when INEC officials came to register us at Love Garden, University of Ibadan. I got registered on July 17,2018. I have never been political unconscious since the 2011 election. I could not vote then and could not still vote during the 2015 general election. But I knew then the power of voters if they decided to do the right thing.

Love Garden In University of Ibadan

When I turned 18, I never knew where I could register but I was determined that any little opportunity that I get within my vicinity, I will ensure that I make use of it judiciously. At last some students were able to bring INEC officials to the University. It was Temmy Gista. He was able to communicate effectively and infact students helped him to send his broadcast to virtually all WhatsApp group they were on.

The first day that the INEC officials were expected to come, they did not show up. But students and willing voters to be wrote their names on a sheet of paper. The following day was when I appeared at the venue. If I had known that those INEC officials did not show, I would not have shown that day. It appears that God wanted me to register that day that was why I did not get that information. I had a 8 am class and the lecturer will not allow you in once she is around. Nobody messes with her class. There was an information that fianlists and penultimate students are expected to attend a programme that very day and so the class was called off. I immediately went to the venue where I quickly wrote my name. I was number 100+ on that day's list.

INEC Officials

When the INEC officials came by, those who came around started protesting that they have written thier names since yesterday and that they their list must be used. I thought how will I be able to get registered with this number of people. THier request was granted and they started using yesterdays list. Until those of us that came that day also said our list must be used that day to avoid stories that touch. The coordinators granted our request too and after spending about 9hours, I was able to get my Temporary Voter's Card (TVC). Some of my friends were not able to do the data capture and so their registration is not complete. I left the registration area to write my name for the finalists and penultimate programme. I was disappointed that I missed the programme but my right to vote was not negotiable.

After the registration programme, we lost information about how we were going to collect our PVC. I got information that they have pasted names of those whose PVCs are ready at Tedder hall for those whose surname category starts with that of mine. I was there and saw names that resembles that of my surname. I waited and waited and one day was at Bello hall to visit a friend only to see that some voter's names were also there. My friend educated me that every hall of residence has a polling unit and that if I want to see my name mine will be in my own hall of residence.

I asked an exco in my hall who told me he is not aware of any of such list in the hall. I confirmed around and discovered that he was telling the truth. I decided to go online and saw this post about how to locate your PVC on this website ibadantalk. I discovered that I was to go to https://govote.ng/status to check my status. Alas my registration was valid. The place where I was supposed to collect my PVC, I saw that INEC officials were not there. I was directed to go to Ibadan North Local Government at Agodi to get the card.

I was not available for about two weeks to get my precious PVC. I went to INEC to confirm where I will go and pick my PVC and discovered that it was at INEC Ibadan North Local Government Office for the area where I registered. I could not go because I had lost my TVC. I later summoned courage and went to their office.

There were two canopies at the venue and plenty people were waiting. I approached the guy who was helping people to give the officials the TVCs and explained my plight. He told me to go inside and explain what I told him. I did so and was told that if I can produce all my details I will be given. This I was able to do. The guy that was collecting the TVC told me to go and print out my details and not write it out. I was surprised when I met someone who told me that printing goes for ₦100 and photocopy goes for ₦10. I was shocked at this kind of exploitation that was done as where I stay in my school both printing and photocopying goes for ₦5. I paid the ₦ 100 for printing the document which I got from www.govote.ng and wrote my name on it, I then gave the guy in charge of collecting the TVC. After about 10 minutes, I was told to fill a form where those who are not with thier TVC are to fill and then thumbprint on it. After which I also thumbprinted and signed on another document and then my PVC was given to me. It took me less than 30minutes to collect my PVC from that location.

Unfortunately, some people whose PVC's were not found were told to come back mid January and that by then their PVCs should be ready.
