I used the word 'mallam' because the reality on ground as regards this nonsense called federal character favours the North more. You and I know the difference in the level of intelligence between the average northerner as compared to the average southerner is huge. The reason we fail as a country is because we have too many mediocres holding delicate offices all because of Federal Character and quota system.

I do not agree with you, though.
I will tell you why. Even though your statement has some truths, it also has some fallacies. It is wrong to vent your anger on a specific geo-political zone and deliberately forget others coz as you know, others are also involved.
Another thing worthy of note is, the Federal Government is concerned with all unemployed/underemployed graduates present in all the states that make up Nigeria, and came up with this federal character thingy, so that each state will have a fair share of her National cake (After all, there is love in sharing ). Now, it is your own responsibility to be the best in your state/geopolitical zone and have a share of the National cake, and at the end we (All the states) will all be glad it (The National cake ) went round equally.

On a serious note, there is nothing like an acknowledgment mail after submitting your application. All you see after submission is your application ID, and that's all. So, don't be afraid, Belle.

But I still wonder why a full time staff in CITA would move to Benin Disco and start as a graduate trainee. It beats my imagination. If that person was just a contract staff, it would be plausible to believe.

SMH. All I can do now is to laugh, laugh, laugh. At the begining of this whole mess we were saying it that the recruitment process seem not to be fair, but those who weren't victims thought all was well.
Some of us came here and even said that we scored above 60% in the first cbt, but never received invites for the second cbt, but some persons who weren't victims thought we were joking or probably thought we were lying about our scores. Now, I'm glad some of those persons have fallen victims as well (Yea, I said it. I'm glad), atleast for confirmation sake.
For your information, I do not think it's a south south thing. I am from Edo State, and I'm sure Edo state falls under the south-south region (except it was just excluded from it recently). And I'm telling you this day that I was one of the top scorers in the first cbt, but never received an invite for the second cbt.

All I can say at this point is, it is well.

I feel your pain, Bro. But it's more painful and heart breaking when one has a knowledge of his score and knows that he beats the cut-off mark with a large margin, yet didn't get the invite to the next stage and can not do anything to save the situation.
It will be well for us this 2015.

Candidates with higher scores are for interview proper while candidates with lower scores or little bit above average was given a second cbt cos of the mass failure culminating from the first cbt.

Alright, if you say so. Truth is, I'm no longer sure of this whole recruitment process. Let's just watch and see how things go.

I scored 48.3 and a guy I met after the test scored 45, same positions with you. He has seen the invite while I'm yet to see any.
We just can't seem to get things right in this country.

I think we are even in a better position to stand our ground coz we saw our scores. What about those who didn't see their scores and weren't invited, even though they did magnificiently well?

Yeah, they do send an acknowledgement mail to confirm a successful application. Another thing worthy of note, if uploading your CV doesn't work, then "copy and paste". After successfully completing that step, then you proceed to other steps.

The same batch. Batch 1f Lecturer 11c, Petroleum and Natural gas processing.
The guy even quoted me on the thread to make it known to me that he has gotten the invite.

I still don't knw the criterion for shortlisting for the second test. Probably the they placed their cut-off marks on batches in such a way that 30% in batch A may get called if that's the highest score while 50% may not get called if there are scores above that in such groups. I'm just guesing though. If this not true, then many will certainly get the sms from 2mao.

Either ways, the criterion still doesn't hold water cos on the other thread, someone of the same batch with me who scored 45% got the invite, where as, I'm yet to get an invite even though I scored higher.

I feel ur pain, but I've got this feeling u would still be called, maybe those within ur score range haven't been called, although I know state quota plays a role in fed govt jobs recruitment if you observe well the man above you might just be one of the lucky few that scored 35% and got an invite. Don't panic would get ur invite, ur hardwork would not be in vain.
