You can do the insurance anytime before your interview date but remember you have to send it with other original documents to the embassy prior to your interview date.
jkels:
Is the insurance meant to be done close to the interview date? I mean can someone do the insurance a month before the embassy interview?
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 6:09am On Apr 29, 2016
The amount remaining in your sponsors account after he has transferred to you doesn't have to be significantly high only that the money remaining must be a reasonable amount as he cannot use all his funds to sponsor your education. Also his account has to show a steady inflow of money which could be in form of salary payment or business.
jkels:
Please will it be detrimental if my sponsor's bank statement balance is not significantly high after transferring €6720 to my own account?

TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 11:55am On Apr 23, 2016
Hi Annie...There are different scenarios to the account statement issue. How was the lodgement made into your account? Trust me the embassy will ask you to clarify the source of that fund on that particular day. The best would have been a direct transfer from your sponsor into your account so you can print the two statements. The money should be in your account until after your RP has been granted. When you go for your interview at the embassy, you will be asked to sign a consent form so the embassy can confirm your account statement from the bank so you don't need to bother yourself. Just hold a copy of every document you have earlier sent via courier to the embassy.
If you don't mind, you can send your phone number so myself and Olabode can call you to clarify better on the process. We will be glad to help you and others. Kittos

I didn't get the scholarship for d IMPIT prog bro. Due to this, I'll accept the TUT offer since it's the same course(IT) UEF offered me that I'll be studying in TUT. Also, from my findings, Tampere is the 3rd largest city in Finland and more Nigerians are there. So I go easily blend.

Bros, just make sure you have N1.5m and above in your account...lobatan.
I had exactly 1.5m when I printed my account statement last year and submitted my application to the embassy and to the glory of God, everything was successful...#OyaDab

But I tried an analysis by adding the three core subjects which gave me aggregate 14 n when I add the best three electives too I got aggregate 11 totalling 25. so by this, should I apply directly or use discretionary application.
You have a good Result and it should even total above the 25. Please just proceed with your application. My Ghanaian friend here also said same about your result.

[quote author=temmy2008 post=41502538]can somebody help me with this pls?[/quote

Hello Temmy. It's the same grading system someone previously asked. If it's not on your school website, you can put your university e-mail address for them to contact your school. You can also check your school prospectus, it shud be there. Unilag prospectus has it. So you can take a photo of it and upload there and also put the school e-mail address for verification.

Has anyone use either Ecobank or stanbic bank mastercard to make payments?
Why not try using stanbic to make the payments or better still get someone that has a GTB card to assist you since majority of guys here confirmed successful payment using GTB card.

Please lets not confuse prospective applicants about the main university in tampere.

PLEASE YOU CAN VISIT THE DIFFERENT SCHOOLS WEBPAGE FOR CLARIFICATION AND ALSO CONSULT GOOGLE.
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 1:41pm On Dec 26, 2015
I have seen what you referring to and It is not applicable to you because your transcript will be in English hence no translation required. To the best of my knowledge, it is for those that their transcript is in other languages besides english n will need to be translated.
You should work with the other deadline of authenticated transcript records which deadline is in January.
My other bosses here pls also help clarify do we can be on the same page @Olabode...pls help contribute.

is university of Tampere different from TUT? also please attend to my question below. thanks
Hello @ mavinc4u.....University of Tampere (UTA) is different from Tampere university of technology (TUT). It's just like unilag and yabatech.

Also i have through the link you gave below and couldn't locate where it was stated that your English Lang translation should arrive in November 2015, besides the application opened in December. I think there's a Mix up somewhere, you should go through the mail again.

PHRANTAD:
Good day fellow nlers, i appreciate ur guidance n suggestions, my sch alredi sent my transcript , all d four envelopes had d sch name inscribed on it with particular application number peculiar to each envelope, overall bigger envelope was addressed to UAF. Oda notarised docs wud be sent by me tru DHL next week. I op im still on track.
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 1:42am On Dec 17, 2015
Please don't waste your time and money sending another transcript. UAF will link it to your application as they do with the language test. My sch did not write application no on my transcripts last year n UAF informed me that they have received it and will use my surname to link the transcript with my other documents once they arrive. DON'T WASTE MONEY SENDING ANOTHER ONE PLS.
mavinc4u:
Should it be written on the envelope or the application number should be typed on the transcript
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 1:36am On Dec 17, 2015
UAF has a way of linking ur transcript with your application. You don't need to bother yourself about it. Moreover, your language test result does not have not application number written on it. They will link it with your other documents once you send them. Just ensure your other application documents has your application number hand written on them clearly.
holythug:
I sent my transcript through my school via proxy......even before paying for the application fee, here's the question: DO I NEED TO ALSO PUT MY APPLICATION NUMBER ON MY TRANSCRIPT, SINCE THE SCHOOL IS EXPECTED TO SEND IT!
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY:
Hi everyone. The Finnish government today passed into law that from 2017, tuition fee of 1500 euros will be collected for all degree programmes from students from non EU countries.
Please if you have the opportunity to apply for this application period, please maximize this opportunity. Feel free to drop your questions here and my bosses with me here will assist. Please note that the application has started for university of tampere. Am available to assist as regards any enquires if you intend coming to university of tampere. Thanks guys
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 8:04pm On Dec 06, 2015
As rightly said by my Oga Olabode, please use courier service in sending ur applications to UAF. I sent mine last year via NIPOST cos it was very cheap #300 and it got there in abt 8days but the thing was that I couldn't sleep as they was no way for me to track the delivery. Was only holding on to the words of assurances by the nipost official that it has bn delivered which I later confirmed wen UAF mailed me of the receipt.

As for me, all I had to do was to pay 2500 in my former university so they can put a CTC stamp on a photocopy of my degree certificate. That was what I submitted to UAF n on getting to Finland to do my reg I was asked to present the original for sighting .
EggPlant:
Hi peeps. Just want to ask, the documents to be submitted to UAF for applications for master, do they have to be notorized/legalized at the finish embassy or any notary public? I read on the finnish embassy website that legalisation can only be don at one notary public in abuja like that http://www.rayfieldconsult.com, and when I checked their website, the cost is a whopping #120,000. Or is it just documents for visa application they are talking about? Please some1 should enlighten me quickly as I need to make some important decisions regarding this. I dont want to have to notorize twice.
