Hi. I got admission for Bsc Nursing which is four years program. My question is about the POF. The Irish immigration website states that I must have €10,000 for each year + Tuition fee which means €40,000 + Tuition. Has anyone gone through this stage. I need advice please. Thanks

Hello all. My wife changed her surname after marriage. On the WES application form, should she use her maiden name for the form which is the same on her degree certificate or she should use her new surname which will be different from what is on her degree certificate?

Tell your wife to go directly to Pco's office or call the number that called yesterday. My husband was there today, waited for hours, not knowing he was suppose to call the number that called or go to PCO's office directly.

Since your status just changed today, then let's be hopeful that by next week it should be ready.
ganiyatsola:
.

Oga oooo, same thing they told me. Am beginning to get scared of the whole process. More than 2 months now, No show. People are getting this thing in other states within 4weeks without fast-tracking. My friend got her own within that range without fast-tracking in Ekiti. May God help Ikoyi ooo

My wife was at Ikoyi office again today, her passport is still not yet ready. She captured on August 17. Her tracking status has been in production for almost two months now. She was told that they are out of materials so she should check back next week. Same thing she was told last week. It is well with Ikoyi oo

My wife will be going there today. I will give an update later today. She was there last week and she was told to check back this week. AA was written on her slip last week. What was written on yours?
ganiyatsola:
Please is it that those that captured in Ikoyi are not on this platform. Information about Ikoyi is scanty compared to other two centers in Lagos. Please let's keep updating ourselves. Ikoyi center any news today?

Thanks.

Good morning all,

Do any of you know of any candidate that differed their admission and received a positive decision the following year?

This is the third time now I have heard of someone who deferred admission to the following year only to get denied .

I think it depends on the school and the circumstances or excuses for the deferral. I know of someone whose RP was denied and contacted the school to defer his admission but the school turned it down. Someone else got admission but couldn't apply for RP and she contacted the university for deferral which was granted.

Na because I want to pay for the Student union fee. I was at GTB and they said I have to open a Dom account in order to be able to transfer.
Do you have alternative suggestion??

Why not get someone already here to make the payment for you and you can give the Naira equivalent to the person. How much is your union fee? I could help make the payment

Bosses, do we have to print and submit alongside originals, the form we filled online on enterfinland.fi?

This question caused issue for me last year. I didn't print the online application form I filled cos I thought there was no point printing the whole application form since I have filled it online. On getting to the embassy, I was asked to produced the filled application form. The woman said am supposed to print it out and bring to the embassy. Naso she started giving attitude, I just waka commot to begin find cafe to print am. It was a bad experience cos the woman made sure I was the last person to be interviewed instead of being the second BUT to God be the glory today.
Just try to print everything printable even if you don't end up submitting them at the embassy cos it was tough locating a cyber cafe.

I am not using any sponsor. I have a business i am managing. My dad registered a company in 2001 and I am one of the signatories(3rd). I have the CAC certificate and Articles of Memorandum of the biz. After graduating, i used the biz names to survive mehn grin grin grin
The issue of a sponsor to transfer to my account and me bringing the sponsors dox is out of question. I intend to use electronic receipts of sales, purchase receipts for source of income as one of my customers paid in 1million and i supplied the goods and also withdrew the money in bits to buy more goods grin grin grin. Opening account in an accredited bank will not be possible for me at the moment and me wiring the money from union bank to the accredited bank because of commitments in union bank, hope it does not show a red flag?

Going by all what you have said, I want to believe it's fine. Just a letter to back it up explaining your commitment to Union Bank and that you will have access to your funds when you get to Finland.

Brother, go do either Aiico or Mutual Benefits Health Insurance and forget about this MARSH stuff. Even the embassy go send you list of an attachment of health insurance companies which Aiico and Mutual Benefit are among.
jkels:
Please with respect to the health insurance, want to know about MARSH-SIP(Students Insurance Policy). From migri website, its states that they recommend Marsh SIP. Does it mean that AIICO, Mutual Benefit and others are not really needed? And as we know most of the schools are listed on www.studyinfinland.fi
(culled from migri website FAQ)
15. Where can I get the health insurance that I am required to have before applying for a residence permit for studies?
You can take out the insurance abroad from an insurance company in your home country or ask for a suitable insurance from an international insurance company. Finnish embassies and consulates and the Finnish police can provide further advice.
If you will study in one of the educational institutions listed on www.studyinfinland.fi, we recommend that you take out the Marsh SIP insurance which has been pre-approved by the Finnish Immigration Service. If you are attending an institution not on the list, you can, for instance, look into the following insurance providers which offer international health insurances for students:
– the French company Assurances Courtages et Services (ACS) (www.acs-ami.com)
– AON Students Insurance, whose parent company is the US company AON Corpo-ration (www.students-insurance.eu)
– the US company International Student Insurance (www.internationalstudentinsurance.com)
– the Swiss insurance company Swisscare – ESI Finland plan (www.swisscare-student.com).
Each insurance and its terms and conditions are assessed individually when the residence permit application is examined. The insurance policy must at least include:
– personal data
– validity of insurance
– geographical area in which the insurance is valid
– insurance coverage
– amounts of benefit
– possibility to continue the insurance if it is valid for less than a year.

The accredited bank is for you.
You can do it in two ways; either your sponsor transfers the money directly from his own account with any bank to your new account with any of the accredited banks. Then you submit your sponsors statement with your union bank account and also your new accredited bank statement.
OR your sponsor transfers it to your union bank statement(which you said you are already building) then you can transfer it to your new accredited bank account. Then submit the three statements.

Either ways you do it,you are cool. I know peeps who used other bank statements that are not among the accredited banks and their RP was granted. The major thing is you having access to the funds when you get to Finland which you can with your MasterCard.
jkels:

Please bosses, the accredited banks is it for me or my sponsor?
Travel / Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by GeneXY: 6:16am On Apr 29, 2016
It's not a cause for alarm. Just perfect your account statement with Union Bank then open a new account with any of the accredited bank and transfer your funds from Union Bank to it. You should print both statements of accounts and submit to the embassy(Union Bank & the new accredited bank). Just make sure the fund in your new bank statement shows it was transferred from Union Bank then you are good to go.
Exactly what I did for my application last year.
frankie2K:

Oh my God, I am using union bank and I am perfecting my account,it Will be impossible for me to change to an accredited bank now, hope it isn't a red flag
