Hope there won't be any brick

You haven't updated it before? If not screenshot and seek advise of others, I don't know why then seller installed EEA ROM when the main Global ROM is available

Where can i buy xiaomi products local ?? .. i no dey lagos oh

Ok try updating with Wi-fi

yusuff4u2c:
My bootloader is unlocked ooo.. Still safe?

Still very safe. My bootloader came unlocked, just that I didn't root my device and I have been updating without issues

liljboy:
I was just asking around for a good earphone to buy mate ... Ain't gotten one.... Someone recommended uiisii

When asking for earphones always signify your budget it helps one to advice you better. Cheers

Messymelly1:
EEA ROM
But gcam front camera isn't working i mean v 6.2

That means you are using a Chinese version with a Global ROM installed meaning your bootloader is unlocked. Contact GrandMufti or Gptech to teach you how to install the real Global ROM on your device.

If that can be done install Gcam and check again am sure it will solve the problem.

Adegbem01:
yeah I used goldway, I will update as things happen sha. Thanks guys

All the best.

avalon7:
Has anybody here used a LEAGOO product? If yes would you say its better than xiaomi product, they're definitely cheaper

Leagoo and Xiaomi should not be used in the same comparison, they are words apart.

Messymelly1:
how can one enable camera2 API and why is my phone not updating through cellular network?

Your phone has it enabled already otherwise you won't be able to install and use GCam on your phone.

As for the update I don't know. What ROM are you using?

Messymelly1:
camera2api ? is it a script or a module?

It is an Application programming interface. It is what is in-between the engine and the script.

Camera2 API to give camera app developers better access to more advanced controls of the camera, like manual exposure (ISO, shutter speed), focus, RAW capture etc.

Your phone came with it enabled otherwise you would have gone through those listed process. And if you are unlucky that the Phone manufacturer don't enable it and don't allow unlocking of bootloader then you won't be able to use Gcam

Adegbem01:
I am praying already, but please is this charging legal or custom people are just taking advantage of the masses

There is no way one can tell, but if you are lucky you might be able to beat down the price otherwise not. One should just avoid Goldway and Mi Global stores for now, Tonke and Fantacy are also good

gnykelly:
Hi guys how do I install Gcam on my redmi note 6pro

Unlock bootloader, root your phone, enable camera2api then install Gcam.

Note: whenever there is a system update you have to unroot your device before you update

yusuff4u2c:
To the boses in the building who have updated their OS, I hope the update is bug free.... Redmi note 5

Those who updated theirs last week haven't really complained so I guess so

Adegbem01:
The seller promise to declare it as gift (40usd), hope that could work.... And I got it for 92k, Nigeria guys are selling from 97k

And you get a lot of freebies along with from the Nigeria guys. Gift or not, it doesn't change the fact that if the package gets opened by customs they won't charge you. They will just Google the price of the phone and tag it whatever comes to their head. Just hope and pray sha.

CitySect1:

They want the phone to have the functionalities of S10+, have camera better than the mate 20 Pro, have the looks and swag of iPhone Xs and still cost 60k. Nigerians are getting worse than Indians
