Oh Oh, meaning in my particular location I don't have band 20 but there's band 20 5 minutes from me. Now I understand perfectly well. I'm using MIFI sha and it's blazing fast with 200 for 1gb weekly plan

Meaning in your house there is only band 20 but 5 minutes from your location there is band 7 present and your phone picks up the 4G signal

I am not. You are failing to understand.

The difference between a Xiaomi's Chinese Version and it's Global Version is the number of LTE bands present.

The Chinese version hardly especially on their Midrangers have bands 8(nTel uses this and band 3) & 20(which Smile and MTN use).

Now sometimes Network operators like MTN that makes use of Two LTE Bands in this case band 7 & 20 in a bid to save cost sometimes do not deploy both bands in some locations. Now if you fall into this location and unluckily it is only Band 20 that is deployed. You won't be able to get the 4G signal because that band is absent on your device.

I use a Chinese Version Redmi Note 5 with Global ROM installed and we are in the same shoes.

It's not it. I was in Nsukka and was using mtn 4g on both of my mtn lines. Now in onitsha, my house, I can't see mtn 4g but if I go to the market, like 5 minutes drive from my house I see mtn 4g on both of my mtn lines. If I'm in the house I use mtn 4g on my Router. That's what I'm using presently, Wi-Fi on 4g. The 4g coverage is not strong on your area that's why your phone is not detecting it, try using MIFI, I'm sure you'll get 4g coverage on it

The Chinese version don't have band 20 that's why, your MIFI have both band 7 & 20 check the specifications and see.

If there is LTE in your area it means it is band 20 which the Chinese version don't have.

Try to get a harvilon MIFI or any unlocked MIFI like Glo's that supports all LTE Bands present in Nigeria.

Is your phone Global Version or Chinese Version with Global ROM installed.

MTN uses band 7 and 20. Band 7 is present on both Chinese and Global Version but Band 20 is present only on the Global Version.

So if you use the CN RN7 and you are in a location with only band 20 deployed am sorry you won't get MTN 4G.

Switch your device to LTE Only and see. Sometimes you can't trust all these network operators messages

There was a time my Airtel 3G download speed was faster than the Airtel 4G.

up till now sef, e never dey everywhere and you're talking of 5G?

I was even talking about Xiaomi's 425.. Like my former RN5A prime.. The phone processor was badass!

Update your phone if there's any update all bugs get fixed with time, Redmi Note 5 didn't also have it rosy bit things stabilized with time

Sell your rn7, - if you actually have one and that's a big IF - so you can buy infinix hot 6 pro with the faster sd 425 and leave us alone

That Hot 6 pro is as slow as what, even the Redmi Go that came with the same processor and 1Gb was faster than the hot 6 pro with 2Gb ram

It will come, there was a time I got a little update and most people didn't get it, this things happen. You can change your region and try updating

Install screenshot touch change the settings to high, use it a little and go back to the normal screenshot the quality should improve.

Go to camera. Click the three vertical lines, you will see settings click it. Learn to explore your phone and your apps. Settings should always be the first thing you locate in an app. Don't always wait for handouts from people, you can learn new things yourself
