WhiteIverson: I am currently there right now and honestly I'm trying to weather the storm. The biggest lesson I've learnt and still learning is only you can pull yourself up. People see me and think I'm not doing my best, even my close family but omo I won't blame them. The only evidence that you're doing your best is when things start working out for you. What a life!

Hello! So, I followed the normal process of creating an account with WES and then select IRCC as the destination for the evaluation. Then I proceeded to request for my transcript from my school to be sent to WES directly using the reference form given by WES. For my school (OAU), the transcript cost 45k plus extra 350 for charges.
For the WES fee, it is $CAD260. I had to reach out to someone in Canada to help make the payment on my behalf while I send the naira to them when my GTBank USD debit card was not going through.
Hope this helps
Thank you so much for your prompt responses. With this I'll start my application asap
Watkins 19 no penalty goals plus 10 assists Palmer over 8 penalties. Not a big deal though.
But what Palmer is doing this season is not unprecedented. Every team even struggling ones always have that one star that carries the burden.
From Wilfred Boney of Swansea to Saido Beraihno of Westbrom of those days, Yohan Cabaye, the Demba Ba's demba cisse of this world. Even to elitist like Aguero Sanchez and so on. Even remember the one season wonder Miguel Michu? Kudos to Palmer though
Michu that left footer. I remember that soccer demon that year
Actually I did mine like that They gave me transcript in school. So I put the transcript and statement of result photocopy inside one envelope and I sent it using my school name.
Anyhow you do it they will still verify your document from your school
If you can try and collect the transcript from both school, put it inside one envelope with your certificate and send it yourself.
I think that is the best option to save cost. My thinking though...
I have a diploma and degree certificate. My diploma was also part of my admission to university i.e I gained admission via direct entry mode. I am having my diploma transcripts wic I got by paying the exam and record officer as at that time duly stamped. Now my concern, if I should put this transcript inside envelope and fax to Wes, if Wes should send back to my school, won't the school hold me accountable cos I didn't get the transcript via paying directly to school account. The exam and record officer just print it for me and chop the money. . . What should I do. . .
Please I am facing a small issue paying for my evaluation with WES.
I have been trying to use my GTBank US$ debit card where I have some USD to make the payment for the WES Fee but it has been giving "Payment Failed" since. I have mailed WES to request why and they only sent one generic email back to me which is not even helpful.
Please, I am begging, who has a better and easier option to pay for the WES fee from Nigeria and can help? I also tried Pay4Me and after I had paid for the verification, I discovered that their charges for paying WES for me is over 25k naira which I don't even have currently.
Please, if you know of other means to make payment for WES, I will so much appreciate your help. Thanks so much.
Hello I hope this message meet you well. Pls how did you go about your WES evaluation process. What mode did you take in sending your transcript to WES and how much does it cost you to process your application.
Yes, but it depends on what your grades in both polytechnic and university. It is a garbage-in-garbage-out process.
I have used the WES iGPA Calculator by inputting all my scores from polytechnic down to university and got this score below 👇
I am only contemplating if I will still get the same result when I start the process which is extremely expensive plus the stress I will go through by obtaining my transcript from the two schools and DHL to WES. .
You only need GRE fee, TOEFL fee, WES fee, SEVIS fee, visa application fee and flight ticket. Aside the UK, most countries' universities' offer scholarships, and as you stated, they are competitive. Why shouldn't they be? Everyone loves good things, and good things don't come easy or cheap. Yu must work hard for them. In order to compete, you need to have a competitive profile. I would outline the profile of folks I know one-on-one and from a distance:
- First class in Biotechnology from a private university and MSc from a federal university in the south east who is pursuing his PhD in the US. Source of funding: Graduate Fellowship (very competitive form of sponsorship by US' universities). - First class in Biotechnology from a federal university who pursues his graduate studies in the US. His first class was even celebrated on the front page sef. - First class in Chemistry from a federal university, and I think should be done with his PhD in the US. Prior to leaving Nigeria, he taught GRE/GMAT to job seekers in Nigeria. - First class in Petrochemical engineering from a state university now in Canada pursuing his MSc, and as we discussed would move to the US for his PhD. He was a math teacher prior to leaving Nigeria.
While all are first class (including others too numerous to mention), there are also those with 2.1 who get scholarship to study abroad. I know one who did and would complete his PhD this year. I know another in Germany who we communicated via Nairaland and should be done with his PhD sef. Had a 4.33 in Chemistry from a state university. Myself, I had a 2.1 and got scholarships when I arrived. My parents said either I get scholarships as 25 million would not be spent even though they had/have it. No be only me dem born.
To secure these scholarships, your profile must be competitive, as admission into grad school is very competitive. I thought competition would have reduced as Chinese students shy away from the US, but Indians don cover the gap. First class graduates are more likely to be sponsored because foreign universities judge us mainly based on our grades before other factors compared to how they would assess Americans, Europeans or Chinese. A Chinese grad with 2.1. from Fudan University has little to exhibit compared to a 2.1. from UNIBEN. To compete favourably against that Fudan grad, it is better to possess a first class.
I would like to evaluate my polytechnic and university grades via WES. Do I have a chance of still maintaining equivalent to 2.1 US degree class...

Popular nigerian pastor and a major critic of the nigerian government has blasted nigerians that are not happy as the dollar begin to appreciate. He was furious that despite being an obidient, he has moved on, but some people always want to see anything bad about their country especially since their candidate lost, and always want bad things to be happening so that they can say, Shey we warned you.
Some are unhappy because they are cashing out from it.
Look at this man in the image, he's about to experience premium tears
NairaOcean: At the bustling Computer Village Market in Lagos, a young lady found herself in agony after purchasing a faulty iphone for a hefty sum of 68,000 Naira.
The lady, eager for a good deal, decided to engage with a street vendor rather than patronizing the established phone shops in the area. This decision, made in an attempt to cut costs, ultimately led to her purchasing a phone that turned out to be defective.
"In the video making the rounds on the net, a concerned individual can be heard asking her why she didn't enter an appropriate phone shop for her purchase," noted one bystander who witnessed the unfolding scene.
The mischievous seller, responsible for the faulty device, is currently untraceable, leaving the distraught customer to lament her unfortunate experience.
