PlsBanMe:
I don't mean to douse your hopes but who told you that even if you pass the CBT, you will get the job? It's government job and lots will be at play. Just do your best, hope for the best and plan for the worst.

As for you getting invites for several jobs, it mean you are doing well and will get a job soon. It's a good thing you are being invited. Do you know many are applying and not even being called?

Go for the CBT, do your best and keep applying for other jobs. In no distant time, you will laugh.

Amen to your prayer.
Thank you for your submission, I appreciate it.

Jobs/Vacancies / How Do I Ace This CBT Exam!!! by Gentlesoul2021(m): 10:03am On Mar 03
I have just been shortlisted for the role of an administrative associate under the department of registry at the prestigious university of Ibadan. I do not take the recruitment to heart when I applied in January but as God will have it, I got shortlisted for a CBT evaluation.

I am humbly seeking for guides to ace this exam as your contribution and help will be greatly appreciated. I have been tipped to focus on current affairs and verbal reasonings but I am still looking for wider views.

If you have been in this shoe, kindly assist a soul.

In the past few months, I have attended 3 interviews with no success and have outrightly gotten 4 rejection emails.

We all know how the employment sector is saturated, only God will help the helpless.

Mods pls do the needful. Thank you.

Also if the phone number in your account is tied to ur nin. They wouldn’t bombard you.

Romance / Re: Please How Do I Recover My Money From First Bank (pictures) by Gentlesoul2021(m): 8:01pm On Feb 24
Thugnificent:
On Wednesday this week (Valentine's day) I experienced wickedness in it's purest or should i say unpurest form

A client I've been doing some work for since January this year finally paid me my wages ( about 50k). I kept thanking God because that was the only money in my account i swear. I was DEAD broke

The greatest shock of my life came when i checked my balance after receiving the credit alert.

What i saw startled me to my bone marows.

The sum of 18000 ( eighteen thousand naira) was removed from my account without any debit alert. I immediately called the customer care around 11 PM that same day after transferring the remaining balance to my Opay

Luckily i was able to connect with one. He told me that the reason for the withdrawal was because i was debited all the cost of sms alert charges since 2021 till date that amounted to the 18k.

I wasn't having any of that. The next day (yesterday) i went very early to the bank and made the same complaint. The cashier there directed me to the customer care.
The customer care also said the same thing and confirmed it from her system that the 18k withdrawal was from the accumulated sms charge since 2021 and showed me my history which corroborated with what they were saying.

I now asked them why they had to wait for three years before debiting me in bulk, they didn't give any reasonable answer.

I almost ran mad. I didn't know when i raised my voice out loud till the security ushered me out.

Right now I'm devastated and broken. Because most of the money i was to use to service some loans and feeding.

Right now i really don't know what to do.

How can i recover my money please. I have almost lost my mind.

Someone help me out with suggestions please. I take God beg you.

Edit: some of the debit recorded in the app. First Bank doesn't allow screenshot

Sorry for the unfortunate incident bro. Go and delete SMS alert on your account and result to only the use of e-mail. These guys are wicked. A whole 18k...
Romance / Re: Assisting Someone In Need; My experience. by Gentlesoul2021(m): 6:46pm On Feb 24
luminouz:
I have been in some tight spots in life and people helped me. Complete strangers who didn't know me gave me help or I would have likely died. I have shared some of these stories on NL. My policy has always been to try to help people unless my gut instinct say otherwise because I have been burnt trying to help.

One funny thing I have noticed is the entitlement coming out of these people you wanna help. I remembered some years ago at UI when I left First Bank ATM and was going home. This rough looking dude came up to me and said he hadn't eaten in a day and asked for help. I had withdrawn 2k and I gave him 1k out of it. Dude told me 'why not add that 1k in your hand to it and kuku complete a good deed'. He saw my expression and walked away grumbling. I ran after that mudafucker and got my money back.

Second story... I have always been blessed with a good physique as a guy. Doesn't matter what I put on, it looked good on me, so people have a habit of thinking I'm a rich dude. I remembered going to the bank and seeing this woman with two babies in the banking hall, who came to meet me and asked for help. I told her I don't have much and if she would consider taking 5h from me. She retorted 'as you look like this, na only 5h dey your pocket. Anyway, I go manage am sha'. I walked off with saying shiit to her again.

But not all cases were like those two scenarios up there. During the COVID era, I was approached by a man in his late 40's. We both stayed in an estate. He told me he lost his job during COVID and things were so hard back home. He and his family (a wife and two girls) hadn't eaten properly in 3 days. Things got so bad he approached other men in the estate and they refused him. One of the men needed a nanny, and he told his eldest girl to help but things went south when she was almost raped by this man. Seeing that no one could help him, he approached me, a bachelor and asked for help. I was touched because he was literally trembling from hunger. I took him in and even though I was a lousy ass cook( I still am), I had some foodstuffs I didn't like, such as Noodles, Amala flour, Macaroni and stuffs like that. I gave them all to him. He came with his eldest daughter(around 19) and told me, if there was any cleaning I needed to do that she would do them for me and left thanking me profusely.

I didn't have much cleaning to do but I told her to wash my plates and sweep my floor. She was very uncomfortable around me, till I told her to relax that she was safe. So, once a week, she would come around, cook me soup, clean my house and take foodstuffs back home to her folks in the same estate. After a while, she relaxed around me and for like 6 months of the pandemic, I literally fed her whole family. After the curfew was lifted, her dad got a job and one day showed up at my house with a bag of rice and several stuffs and his daughter too. He thanked me profusely for helping his family.

He told me, that each time his daughter returns home, he always asks if I molested her but she would say no. He said he knew asking his daughter to help cook for me was risky but even if I had touched her, he wouldn't have done anything because without my help, they would have starved to death. He said he preferred me sleeping with his daughter(at least as a bachelor) than all the old goats in the estate. But seeing that I fed them for six months and I never touched his daughter, he now believes that not all men are controlled by their diicks. He was weeping while saying these things to me. I could only imagine what he had gone through as a man not to be able to provide for his family. I rejected all they brought and told him to use them to take care of his family. Till I left that estate, the whole family became like my birth family.

N.B: People can be selfish, rude, ungrateful and messy. My rule is study the situation, listen to your gut instinct and give what you can afford. You don't owe anyone anything but there is always this pleasure I get when I see someone smile after I help them. It's like sunshine through the foggy clouds. That kinda makes up for the other ungrateful little shiits you help who make you regret it.

God bless you more for helping that family in your story. I literally read it and was moved to tears too. You can imagine seeing a grown man with family looking helpless, it's not a good feeling... I am a broken guy, and whenever I read stories of a broken grown up, it do give me goosebumps...

I'll always come to read this piece at all times.

I can't be toggling two or more apps because I want to reply folks that want to chat what would not benefit me.

You could as well tell them you're busy, while u do your thing and get back to them later. How about that....

And not done still
Reported your account and got your account suspended.

In any interview, you have to prepare for likely questions like.
1. Tell us about yourself. This question is an opportunity to sell yourself. Your skills and all of that.

2. What's your long-term career goals.

3. Tell us about your job experience. Like how do you overcome challenges.

4. What are your weaknesses and strength.

Watch YouTube videos about interview. Just prepare.

In all just be prayerful. You might answer very well and still not get it.

Went for one recently and I am praying for a favorable outcome.

I am sending you congratulations in advance...

A memorable one was in 2008 for a senior accounting job. Actually,I just assumed work as Accountant two days in a company while this job interview invite came a day after my assumption of duties. So ,I had to give excuse to come late for work so that I can attend the invite It was the chairman of the company that interviewed about twelve of us being first and the final. He only asked me what was our annual turnover which I said,he asked again if it was monthly or yearly,I said yearly,he smiled and sipped his juice. He came again asking me which type of official vehicle I was given. I mentioned it,he asked if it has AC,I said no. He smiled again. The one that finished everything was my current salary then. I told him. He smiled again. His PA, Secretary and wife were there. He then asked for my expected salary which sounds very low and poor to him. I knew from there that I have lost the job. He directed his PA to give me 4k for transport and promised to get back to me .Sometimes you need to hype yourself o. When I left,I was telling myself, boy you for don give them lamba nah,but that is not in me. I jejely resumed bayto my new job.

Damn. U will be pained. The rich man sipping his juice would av thought this guy cannot handle rich man pocket(account)...
