Culture / Re: Oyinbo Man Speaks Hausa Fluently (video/pictures) by Geofavor(m): 12:07pm On Jan 26
ValCon888:
I speak English fluently for Americana land yet nobody has come to praise me. Let us continue to worship oyinbo man with our enslaved mentality.

Way back in the 15th century, the Portuguese came to Nigeria, and had to learn the indigenous languages to conduct trade in brass, copper and ivory works.

In fact, Oba Esigie was the first Benin King to speak Portuguese. He learned it to foster relations between the Benin Empire and Portuguese Kingdom and heaven did not fall.

Oyinbo man learning our language is not an achievement.

Because we forget how great we once were, we can never know how great we can be.
You've said a lot of sensible things that are irrelevant here. I can speak Spanish and native Spanish speakers are always impressed when they see me speaking their language. Does that make them a slave to me? You're just insecure.
As humans, we are happy when we see foreigners speaking our indigenous languages.
English is the only exception because it's pretty much the official language of the world. Nobody is Impressed because they see a non-native English person speaking English because it's a normal thing now for people everywhere across the world to learn English. The same can't be said for most other languages. If you can speak Cantonese and mandarin well and you go to China and start speaking, the Chinese people there will do the same thing the Hausa guys in this video have done. They will be impressed and happy you can speak their language. Don't spend all your time on Nairaland. Go to YouTube. There's a community of language learners there. People in any country are always impressed and happy when foreigners speak their indigenous languages.

Our problem are facing us as Nigerians everyday but we turn a blind eye and think some uninteresting, irrelevant, micro social problem is the deal!
Blacks!
Give these people a centimeter and they'll take a mile. That's what's happening in the west now. We have enough problems already. We don't need more. I support the police on this. Anyone shoving homosexual acts in our faces should be arrested in accordance with the laws of the land. If this is ignored and not dealt with now when it's at its infancy, it will spiral out of control.
I don't want anyone telling my kids that a man can be a woman.
I don't want anyone telling my kids that there are more than two genders. I don't want anyone telling my kids that their pronouns are not he or she.
I don't want anyone telling my sons that it's okay to fvck a chic today and have a guy fvck him tomorrow because he is Bi.
I don't want anyone telling my kids to ignore their God given organs and explore their sexuality because they may be queer.
We don't want any and more of these nonsense in our country. We have a lot we are dealing with already.

I used RN7, then RN10s and now R13c.......I must say that R13c is an upgrade of RN7, it is good for gaming and when charged it can last 24 hours on somewhat heavy use (I play DLS, stream music via Deezer, surf the net, most apps use background data.....2 whatsapp, X, tiktok and the likes) and the ba3 still tries.

It doesn't lag like them transsion.

On camera aspect, it is good for taking pictures also, I don't use gcam and I still enjoy the camera....it also charges fast.

It is a good budget phone, try getting 6gb or 8gb ram.....I love the phone, you can check the net for more reviews and check for yourself.

For now, I will rate it 8.5/10 over RN7......the rating might increase over time.
Hi.

How much is this phone? The 8gig ram.

Good morning everyone.

My phone is currently REPEATEDLY showing charging (as if I'm plugging and unplugging it) without being connected at all.

What do you think the issue might be? Is it the charging port, the battery or a software issue?

Secondly, where can I have it fixed? Is it advisable to take it to a phone repairer?

Genius43, noobody, grandmufti... Etc. I need each or your responses please 🙏

Do as you are told
The issue is not the cable as I've used another one and the issue remains.
I'm using a power bank though. Maybe that's where the issue is. But I've been using the power bank before and haven't had this notification of slow charging.
The problem actually started yesterday when I unwisely took my phone into the bathroom with me. Some soap water entered the charging port. And it started showing charging even when I didn't plug anything to it to charge it. Tried to dry it and switched it off and on. Now using my power bank to charge (no light) it's charging very slowly.

obembet:

U are wrong, many of us would have learn better if they teach us all those subjects with our local language.

Kudos to him.

Igbo to the world
This is a misconception I have often seen.

Tell me, can you read in your local language better than you can read in the English language?

If the English language is easier for you to read, what makes you think you would have learned better if your textbooks were in Igbo?

Most of us can't even write properly in our local languages. So how are you going to learn a complex subject that is written in this language that you struggle to read and write in? How many of us can casually read a simple Igbo news article without struggling? Or you forget that we do most of our learning by reading?
Now imagine having to not just read but study a technical textbook written in this language.

If at all, for this to work, our indigenous languages would first have to take the place of English in the country. You can't be a good student if you don't have a firm grasp of the language of instruction both in the spoken and in the written form.
So, for instance, Igbo language would have to be mandated and prioritised above all subjects starting from primary schools like we do with English language. If you don't pass the subject, you don't get promoted. This way, by the time students are at secondary level, they can read and write properly in the language. Then, perhaps, we can start considering using the language to learn science subjects like physics.

Whenever I’m at anyone’s home and they are busy, I ask if there’s anything I could do. Courtesy demands you offer to help and leave the rest to your host.
This is it.

You ask your host how you can help out then let them tell you what to do and not do. It's not that complicated. Everyone is not the same. Some people may want you to do nothing. Some will want you to do something. This is why you should ask.

In this case, the boyfriend should be the bridge between his girl and his family. The boyfriend knows his family. So, he should already have briefed her on how to present herself which includes if she is going to help out in the kitchen or not.
For me, if I'm taking a girl to meet my mum, I must have already decided to marry her, so I would personally want her to join my mum to do a little in the kitchen just for the sake of bonding. I'm only interested in girls who genuinely like cooking, so doing that will be fun for her.
Sports / Re: Imprisoned Dani Alves Pens Love Letter To Estranged Wife Ahead Of His Rape Case by Geofavor(m): 6:22pm On Sep 02, 2023
Megabig:
Ohhhh please, the question is, will she divorce and move on or will she also want to be entitled to most of his earnings?

That’s what the focus should be when it comes to her intention to divorce.

Did y’all watch that video of a girl trying to rope Neymar into some rape and abuse scandal not knowing he had a video recording them?

Men need to learn their lessons, still be very careful even if you aren’t wealthy yet, most unsuccessful people are condition to be always envious of the rich that’s why you see them quickly jump into the support of someone trying to rope the rich into some mess, look at Mendy, Ronaldo and others. If you go through Alves’s case, you will be shocked how they could come to a conclusion that he raped the 23 year old. The world is unfair and evil
Dani Alves lied that he didn’t have sex with the girl to hide the fact that he is cheating on his wife, whereas he ejaculated and the girl had the sperm as evidence. He then told the truth that actually had consensual sex with her with full details of all the arrangements but the court said he initially lied under oat even though there was prove that they had consensual sex.

There is no way he can escape jail for the accusation. That’s just the summary
If this is true, he should be jailed for perjury, not rape.

We’re tired of the argument up and down

It tiring arguing with you Messi petty fans
The only fool here is you. You didn't even realize that it's not the person you quoted that replied to you. See how foolish you are?

I have no intention whatsoever to argue who the GOAT is. That debate has long been settled.
You lots can continue wallowing in self-delusion by thinking you can choose your own GOAT by ignoring all the stats. It's okay. It's your mind. You can decide to not use your brain.
I only just corrected your false claims that you CR7 fans are happy for Messi.

You don't have a choice than to be meek, because you have run out of things to use as a weapon of ridicule. Any attempt at discrediting him now makes you come off as consummate reta.rds.
