The problem is from ETISALAT. I used another network provider and i was able to download from Google play store. Am gonna call them now

saibinc: @HTC1: If you have custom ROM on your HTC1, then you need to re-flash the exact Google Gapps for the version of that HTC1.
E.g if the HTC1 is android 4.4.4, you need flash the earliest google apps/Gapps on the phone.

However, if the ROM on the HTC1 is a Stock ROM (the ROM that comes with the Phone), download Mobogenie then,use mobogenie to update your Google Play Service and the Playstore then restart your phone.
@LG: As for the LG, does the phone hits up? If yes, backup the phone contents and perform a full wipe on the phone. If you know more about engineering android phones, I suggest that you change the phone's recovery to 4EXT or[b] TWRP [/b]recovery.
Most android devices charge from the recovery and changing the recovery could be a lasting solution -It is a tested and confirmed solution on HTC, Samsung and Motorolla android phones. Although, I have not done it on LG, I believe that would work for it too.

Wow thnx. Ur response is a bit too technical for me. I have been using my HTC 1 since last year. I just discovered this problem yesterday. I av been downloading and updating apps on google playstore prior to yesterday. My android version is 4.4.2 KitKat. I also noticed my Google play now has a brand new look.

As for my wife's Lg phone, i just bought it brand new on Tuesday. Havn same googleplay problem

I keep getting error 502 and 943 while tryn to download or upload my apps frm google play store. My phone is HTC1. Same wit my wife LG D410 L90. i av tried everythn av bn advised on d internet..same same.
My wife's phone battery drains drastically at nyt before she wakes up at nyt. If she leaves 80% at nyt, it will be like 30% wen she wakes up..Lg D410

I am starting to think it's ETISALAT Network. Cos i and my wife are having this problem. HTC1 and LG D410 L90. We both use ETISALAT network

bigtt76: Go to your apps manager on the phone, locate the Google Play Service, click to access it, clear the cache, force stop it, clear the data. Look for Google Play store app and repeat the same procedure.
Restart your phone when done. The error should have been cleared. Hope it works for you though.

I just discovered i can no longer download and Update my Apps from Google Playstore. I use HTC 1. I also noticed the appearance of my playstore has changed (updated by itself). The error message i get is either "error 502 or 923". I have searched internet/Google and did all i found, but no solution.
