Learn to discuss Issues without insult. Then base on your Annalise's you are just here to put blame not problem solving ideas . If government remove subsidy completely the prices of a liter will be more than 1200 and Nigerians including you are crying with this partial subsidy removal . What do you think will happen if they stop their back door subsidy? Tinubu has failed in that subsidy thing and many Nigerians were brainwashed against subsidy as if is the final solution to Nigeria problem which only enrich politicians but put many Nigerians in big problem . Many Nigerians who voted for any candidate that campaigned with Subsidy removal slogan are the same with Tinubus followers . I asked during electioneering " what will government give back to Nigerians that will complement the impact of subsidy " but many said good governance and paillatives. Now Tinubu and his governors are in big money but Nigerians are crying .
I'm not even in support of the subsidy removal anymore, it's a decision that should have been taking very carefully because of the ripple effects it would generate, but now official price was set below 600 but I've been buying fuel for 1000 since, how does that makes sense? Let them come forward and tell Nigerian the truth

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Fuel Crises: Why Is The NNPC Buying Out Dangote’s Petrol? by Georgry(m): 8:24am On Sep 03, 2024
voiceofpaul:
Okay, the reason is that when NNPC becomes the sole buyer of petrol from Dangote, then NNPC instead of demand and supply would determine the price of the commodity, which in-turn undermines the presence of the world's 6th largest refinery in a country with the 10th largest oil and gas reserve.

Now, you tell me why it is not a bad idea. Your turn.
It would have made sense if the Government agreed that fuel subsidy is back, there was no single Kobo budgeted for fuel subsidy, where is the money coming from? How much are they spending on subsidy monthly? Without all these the subsidy regime continue to be shrouded in secrecy which is nothing else but promoting corruption in large scale, you know this but your head is not working well, that's why you're defending corruption.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Fuel Crises: Why Is The NNPC Buying Out Dangote’s Petrol? by Georgry(m): 8:16am On Sep 03, 2024
Flangelo12:
You haven't said why it is a bad idea.
Don't be stupid, Tinubu said he removed fuel subsidy which means the price should be determined by the force of demand and supply, what business does NNPC has with that? They are only doing that because Subsidy is really back, the landing cost of petrol is over 1000 so they'd buy at 1000 and sell to suppliers at below 600 which means for every 1 litre of fuel you're using in Nigeria Government are subsidising it with at least 400 while maintaining the lies that subsidy is gone! The reason it's bad is because NNPC will continue it's subsidy scam running into trillions of Nigeria while your president is shameless enough to broadcast recently that there's nothing like subsidy, he's confused and not bold enough to admit that he's failed on his number one promise of removing fuel subsidy.

The car seems to appreciate due to the devaluation in our currency. Your friend will still need to add more money to buy the same tokunbo car, so that’s not appreciation.

Do you know how much land has appreciated and how much rent has gone up.
You can't buy a land for 4.7 million this year and sell it for 7m this year, plus if we are to apply your theory that means nothing is appreciating in Value in Nigeria unless the thing is valued in Dollar.

People who fail in life are those who don’t understand that you don’t have to follow the advices of old generations. What works for them works in their time and things keep changing. Buying land or building houses is no longer an investment but liability. In an economy of persistent inflation and high fx fluctuations, buying a car is now an asset while buying land is now a liability
Exactly, someone close to me got a 2010 Camry XLE 6 plug for 4.7 by February, the same Car goes for around 7m currently, still people no understand.

One homie made more than 30m during covid-19, I said go start something but nah! He wanted to build a house, not just a house but a standard one, he's not been able to complete the house till today and he's broke.

The problem with the people doing this is they fail to understand that we are in a different generation, the Baby boomers were the people who brought this mentality, it won't work for you Gen Z or Gen Y, your first big Savings should be used to start a business and the second savings to get a car (owing a car is good for your brand, business is all about brand now, House should come last.

If you start arresting journalist arbitrarily, they will be too scared to do their job, when that happen een, congratulations you have successfully killed the media, which means you have successfully introduced a new system of government called "FASCISM", the media should be left out of all their politics, before you arrest a journalist you must have concrete evidence and charge the journalist to court immediately, but you're kidnapping them sometimes for weeks before anybody finds out their whereabouts, or just kidnapping them and start looking for evidence, that means you're cracking down on the media, and posterity will judge this government and you that is supporting the suppression of the media in Nigeria.

The government of Tinubu has begun a very brutal crackdown on the media and journalists in Nigeria, this is by far the most brutal crackdown on Journalism since democracy in Nigeria, the other time, a reporter from FIJ was invited by the police over a report he's working on that has not even been published, what are they really hiding? The new Aircraft? We still got to know about it courtesy of the Chinese company after all the denial, in fact no appropriation for the provision of the aircraft in any of the numerous Appropriation bill this government has been executing.

That was the LIE that was used to lure many to adopt crypto but anyone that knows anything about blockchain knows its a public ledger and that every transactions is recorded and can be tracked .
You know nothing nothing about the blockchain and Decentralised finance (Defi) , blockchain is a public ledger but it's completely anonymous so you can't track nothing to nobody unless they person identifies themselves as the owner of that wallet, and it's almost 100 percent unblockable in that wallet by any government, there are crypto whales who own millions of dollars of bitcoin but people don't know who own them, people knows all the inward and outward transactions on that wallet but they can never trace it to nobody or block it or steal it by any means...

Is the amount of money quoted here real or fake?

Those who blamed economic failure on cryptocurrency and claimed that cryptocurrency transactions cannot be tracked have now tracked money in crypto wallets. Wow!

If actually that amount of money was raised for the protest, those who raised the money are more evil than Tinubu. Whoever means well for the nation will use that money for a positive empowerment, not to sponsor that kind of protest.
cheesy

You can only block money in centralised exchange or wallet because the private keys are with the exchange, government can easily block that one, you see the one in decentralised wallet? Not even Tinubu himself can block it.

Upon the fact that Godwin Obaseki failed as a governor to deliver infrastructural development very critical to Edo state and on Benin urban corridor in particular, they are arge to return his candidate. Nigerians deserve the bad governance they get. If you ask some of them, the motive is that they are swirled by ethnic and tribal consideration. All of a sudden, mobs are singing for Asue.... and for which antecedent? The answer is: his tribal antecedent. That is the same scenario in the last presidential election; despite the fact that Buhari looted the country with his Fulani brothers, they returned his candidate Tinubu

You don't have sense, both the Candidate of APC and PDP are from Edo Central (Esan) you guys should stop blowing everything out of proportion..

Obaseki did failed, so Edo state election is only about choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea.
