And the first road you listed on your initial post is a Federal Road, a Governor is not responsible/liable for federal road construction

There are about 4 routes between Auchi to Benin, if you want I can name them, only one is federal road, what happened to the remaining 3 route? Why are they bad in such a way that the drivers prefer to pass the bad federal road always?

I'm really surprised People View Obaseki performance as poor. How many Kms of Edo roads did he repair/build compared to Oshiomhole? Osho promised Edo people a fake ShopRite and no investment drive while many multinational and investment firms were attracted to Edo during Obaseki. The modular refinery, Radisson Blu hotel, Giz/MasterCard Job creation schemes aside the fact that he pays 70k minimum wage regularly even before FG commences etc etc

Go tell that to the people who have died on those terrible road and those who have lost business and properties because of flooding, people who have been crying and yet they watch their insensitive governor do absolutely nothing about it, the reason Oshiomole is loved among his people is all the physical infrastructure he did in Edo North, Roads, University, bridges to curb the gully erosion in Auchi that was sinking, if you're not in Edo just relax and stop relying on Nairaland to know how the people of Edo feels about him.

The only thing that reduced the crime level in Edo state in the last 8 years is that most of the Boys have simply learn how to get a phone and bomb, breaking and entry is no more attractive to them although it still happens but not like before, people shouldn't just assume or decide by what they see on the Internet, ask the locals and understand their sentiment. Edo is not a PDP or APC state, or LP just like what people wanted you to believe after the general elections, Edo is Edo.

Edo state probably have the worst road in Nigeria, at least of all the states in Nigeria I have travelled to, forget your HDI thing, the locals are not seeing it because most of them don't come to Nairaland.

A good Governor should care about the greatest plight of his people which is road and erosion, at least attend to it in some way, Obaseki didn't care, and now them Don show am..

Benin to Auchi is about 100 k/m apart in distance but it will take you more than 5 hours to travel between the 2 places, the 3 route are so terrible, people pass that road in pain for years and it was never attended to, that only show sign of wickedness just like how the drivers always put it.

ASUE in my opinion is the best candidate, but having OBASEKI as a godfather is such a big load for his candidacy, Edo election is different from other states, 4 years ago they voted Obaseki in because he was becoming a Godfather, this year they might vote PDP out just because of his wicked and I don't care approach to governance.

Obaseki is a useless politicians, probably the most useless in Edo history, Edo has the worst road in Nigeria and we've been battling flooding throughout his 8 years in office, in fact, his convoy has been stucked in the flood a couple of times, it makes headline sometimes even here, he's so useless that it will make you more than 5 hours to travel from Auchi to Benin but it's it's less than 100 k/m in Distance, a good road and a private car should take you there in just about an hour and thirty minutes, if you're still not convinced I can proof it to you, I will message 5 Benin people (not even Edo in general) and I will ask them what they feel about Obaseki..

Any political party who ask for the cancellation of an election in Nigeria has already lost the election, it's safe to say PDP are out already.
