CASE OF MURDER/ROBBERY The Imo State Police Command has recorded a major breakthrough in its renewed onslaught against crimes and criminality in the State. On 17/11/2015, following a report of the murder of one Innocent Ndukwe ‘m’ a 25yrs final year student of Civil Engineering Federal Polytechnic Nekede who was slaughtered and found in a pool of his own blood in a toilet at his residence at No. 18 Enuwa Street Egbu, Owerri. The assailants after slaughtering their victim made away with his Pathfinder SUV with Reg. No. KRD- 109- BP, two Plasma TV sets, one home theatre, and assorted personal effects. The Police Control room quickly alerted operatives of the Command who immediately cobwebbed the entire State. As a result, the assailants who tried to escape the eagle-eyed operatives were subsequently apprehended along West-End old Nekede road, Owerri. Suspects are as follows: 1. David Kwaguru ‘m’ 30yrs of age a native of Sirwo in Lantan North L.G.A of Plateau State. 2. Friday Ayuba ‘m’ 28yrs of age, a native of Keyelda in Jos North L.G.A of Plateau State. 3. Francis Amos ‘m’ 23yrs of age, a native of Pingali in Lantan South L.G.A of Plateau State. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include a knife, rope and belt. The initiative of the Commissioner of Police Imo State CP Taiwo Lakanu fdc directing Area Commanders, DPOs, HODs and other high ranking officers in the State to disseminate their phone numbers to members of the public for effective communication and intelligence gathering is yielding positive results and has assisted the Police in clamping down the suspects |
