Una no wan comment ?? Nawa ooooooo |
These two many are undoubtedly making waves in their states, they both have one thing in common, which is their genuine interest and zeal to better the lives of their people. You guys will agree with me that both men are president materials in all ramification. But for me, I think rochas is one notch ahead, given his antecedents in philanthropy which dates to over a decade now. He is no doubt, the richest serving governor in Nigeria, He made his wealth through dint of hard work. And he is not the type of person who will steal from the nation's treasury when elected, but so can't be said about fashola. If rochas is to be the president of Nigeria, then he will be touted as the richest man that has ever become the president of Nigeria or any other African nation for that matter. So for this, I think he is the best bet for presidency, as he will never recourse to public fund for selfish aggrandizement, he will be there to serve and not to steal. So please give your own comment. |
gbola h: For me I will take Ribadu n fashola ticket, as a political observer,if opposition party need a block vote 4m north, they Need to present a northerner as there candidate, dat is d plain truth, anything short of that, opposition cannt win election comes 2015. We should remove sentiment aside n face the reality. Why do you people aways make a moronic comment, do you think ribadu and fashola ticket is sellable?? |
Rochas, rochas and rochas, fashola is equally good though. |
otumfour:My friend, don't let Nigerians to get angry, cos when they do, you guys will cry like kids. Warn your pussy licking president to be cautions, elseeeee...elseeeee. |
Mai-suya:What is the difference between a merchant and a trader? |
Callotti: Which kain ye ye hard work? |
I want to know who the A-z oil boss is. |
The battle lines seem to have been drawn between two of the most powerful women in Nigeria, over who is more influential with first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan. The rumpus between the two women who play in the oil and gas sector as well as in real estate is over who would “control” Patience Jonathan, and by extrapolation, President Goodluck Jonathan. Aso Villa sources told Huhuonline.com that the “Queen of Luxury,” Hajia Muinat Bola Shagaya, who sits atop Bolmus Group International with interests in photography, oil and gas, real estate, banking and communications, and said to be very close to and has the ears of Dame Jonathan is up in arms against Princess Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi, recently appointed Aviation Minister from Anambra State but married to an Edo man. She too, is an equally big player in the oil and gas sector with her Sea Petroleum Group and also has strong real estate credentials. The adage by Henry Adams that “a friend in power is lost,” has been proven wrong by the bond of friendship that currently exists between Dame Patience Jonathan, Nigeria’s first Lady and the quintessential businesswoman Hajia Bola Shagaya. Their relationship, which seems to be made in heaven, is also publicly proclaimed by the first lady on a number of occasions. Those who have spotted them stepping out to occasions, sometimes wearing the same outfits, have revealed that they get along so well that when they are out together, in and out of the country, they form an incredible glamorous pair. Another striking thing about them is that on the social scene, they constantly prove that age is not a limit to glamour, by exuding so much poise and freshness. Those in the know reveal that Dame respects Bola because she sips from her fountain of experience. Huhuonline.com understands that although the two women have been close for many years, there is so much fear that their friendship may not stand the test of time. And this has given rise to the speculations flying around that Patience may be forced to dump Hajia Bola for Princess Stella Ogiemwonyi. Close family friends to the first family are wary that Shagaya is trying to rehash the old lessons from her playbook. Shagaya is renowned for romancing and courting people within the corridors of power to solicit for contracts and political patronage. She is said to be an expert in “bottom power” eccentricities and will stop at nothing in her quest for material and financial gain. Shagaya’s romance with power dates back to the 1980s during the reign of Ibrahim Babaginda, where she courted and became personal friends with the then first lady, Maryam Babaginda. Not only that, Hajia Bola Shagaya also engaged in several business deals on behalf of the family. Her son, Sherrif, and Aminu Babangida, were once best of friends and ran a joint oil servicing company in Abuja. After Babaginda, Bola Shagaya courted and warmed her way into the closet of then first lady, Stella Obasanjo. It was gathered that the billionaire businesswoman was very close to Stella and acted as front for her in most of their business dealings. Moreover, Shagaya was always in Stella Obasanjo’s entourage and she junketed the globe with her, helping her to buy expensive diamonds in Italy, Dubai and Lebanon. In 2007, after the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua came to power, Shagaya shifted camp and became a close friend to his wife, Hajia Turai. Huhuonline.com learnt that she even hosted a series of parties on her behalf. And she was always quick to flaunt her closeness with Turai. But Hajia Shagaya was incensed when it became evident that the former first lady was not interested in assisting or entertaining any patronage from anyone. Moreover, the likes of Toyin Fagbayi, who was the closest person to Turai at that time, blocked Hajia Shagaya’s chances of enjoying patronage from Turai. It didn’t then come as a surprise to most people when Goodluck Jonathan assumed the position of power and Hajia Shagaya emerged as a close ally of his wife. Ever since the tide changed in favor of the Jonathans, Hajia Shagaya has become a permanent item in their family. It is gathered that she acts a front for the first lady and they do many business deals together. How the current schism with Princess Stella Ogiemwonyi will play out remains to be seen, but it is evident that we are yet to hear the last of the unfolding drama now that the battle lines are pitched. The Princess has the pulpit of cabinet Minister of a strategic Ministry and enjoys the President’s confidence, but whether this will translate into social capital with the first lady is anyone’s guess. |
pro01: Oga billionaire, abeg give us gist. I've alway been suspicious of this Princess Stella Oduah. . .something about her gives me the chills. The woman is an Agballa Nwanyi. Let us know the 'drift' abeg.My guy, you cannot compare the two women I mentioned to your fifi ejindu and florence ita giwa. |
Mynd_44: ^^Why would the woman in question neglect her marital responsibilities? both of them have themselves to blame. You are a man and should not that men can't do without women when it comes to sex. |
There are hard working women in Nigeria that are billionaires in all standard. I am not talking about women who stole public funds, I am talking about women who made it big by dint of hard work. Please make your own contribution. Below are the women that came to my mind. 1. mrs Okoli, the founder and Ceo of Emzor pharmaceutical company. 2. The current Aviation minister, she is the ceo of a leading oil and gas company in Nigeria, even before she was appointed as minister. I know there are other women that are out there who are making waves in their businesses. Please feel free to list the here. |
Northern leaders want to field CBN governor as the president, come 2015 while Tinubu will be his VC, these people will never seize to amaze me. Is it not the same man that said yorubas are the problem of Nigeria? A known islamist or is it tinubu, a renowned kleptomania that they want to be VC, let's not talk about the unlikelihood of a Muslim Muslim ticket. |
The scope of the plot to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government headed by President Goodluck Jonathan in the next presidential election was on Monday night broadened in Abuja, where top northern leaders held a meeting with former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The meeting, which had in attendance former heads of state from the North as well as retired military officers, like ex-National Security Adviser (NSA), General Aliyu Gusau and former ministers, is coming on the heels of a similar one between Tinubu and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) presidential candidate in the last general election, General Mohammadu Buhari, in Lagos and Kaduna. One of the northern leaders, who attended the Abuja meeting, told Saturday Sun: “The meeting was an informal one held to woo the former Lagos governor, Asiwaju Tinubu and discuss possibilities of extending the frontiers of cooperation and collaboration between the people of the North and the South West people ahead of the next election. “The meeting was also called to broaden whatever discussion is ongoing between Asiwaju Tinubu and the CPC leader, General Buhari because the North cannot afford to gamble with the 2015 election chance, in the face of what the region is going through under the Jonathan administration. Our people have been ruined and as leaders, we are pained over what the present government is doing to the North. “The only opportunity we have is a democratic change of the situation and that can be achieved through seeking partnership with a formidable opposition party leader, like Asiwaju Tinubu and the South West people who have a record of embracing progressive change.” He said that the meeting was “held over dinner to underscore the convivial mood at the discussion.” It was further gathered that none of the leaders at the meeting spoke about any personal ambition, but rather, “they all emphasised the need for change, irrespective of which section of the country produces the next president.” A northern leader, who attended the meeting told Saturday Sun: “For most of us at the meeting, we have put behind us our past ambitions of ruling the country, but we are all united and committed to a change of the present arrangement. And to buttress selflessness and sincerity of purpose on this matter, we made it clear that our desire for change is not out of desperation to have the North reclaim the presidency because we are ready to even support a better candidate from any other zone, including the South West.” Though no names of likely candidates to support came up at the meeting, a former minister at the meeting disclosed that a repeat of the 1993 Social Democratic Party (SDP) arrangement is on the minds of most of those at the meeting. “We didn’t discuss this, but it is obvious that the North wouldn’t mind to persuade the former Lagos governor to vie for the presidency, while we get someone, like the CBN governor to run as his deputy or vice versa. The Muslim-Muslim ticket wouldn’t be an issue once the candidates are sellable to the two sides of the divide. Nigerians are only interested in good governance and not religion. We have had a similar arrangement in the past with the Abiola and Kingibe ticket that swept the polls across the country. So, the same thing is still possible,” the former minister disclosed. The consideration of the CBN governor is hinged on the view that “he will be a good candidate that will appeal to the Buhari crowd and also blend with other interest groups from the North.” It will be recalled that Buhari and Tinubu had, after a political meeting in Kaduna about two weeks ago, flown in the same plane from Kaduna to Kano and drove in the same car from the Aminu Kano International Airport to the emir’s palace, where the CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was being installed the Dan Majen Kano. |
They are not safe in the north, just as southern Christians. |
These demons collected a beggarly amount of money to perpetrate a crime as heinous as bombing and you want me to believe that there is hope in the north? is it not better we chase these bastards to chad and niger where they rightfully belong. How long will it take us to know that northern path of this country is doomed and we the southerners have nothing in common with them. Take a good look at other countries that have hausa and fulani people as indigenes , you will notice they are mostly beggars and shoe maker and gate men and what have you, it is only in Nigeria that these bastards can become a president and hold the most sensitive position in the country, as clueless as they are. Please let us join hands and rid these goats out of Nigerian for good, else we will never stop hearing this sort of stories. |
Seven suspected Boko Haram men alleged to have masterminded the attack on Ekklizivar Yan’uwa A Nigeria (EYN) Church in Biu, Borno State recently said they were paid N7, 000 each to carry out the attack which left no fewer than three worshipers dead. One of the seven suspects, Ibrahim Mohammed Babangida, who spoke with journalists from his custody said one Magaji Bala, a butcher paid N7, 500 to him as his engagement fee to carry out the dastard act. “I was sleeping in my house when Magaji called me and handed over N7,000 to me for the operation,” he said, even as one of the suspects also corroborated the claim. The suspects, Alhassan Inuwa, Ibrahim Mohammed Babangida, Magaji Bala, Nuhu Zakari, Dahiru Sa’adu, Mohammadu Nurah and Mohammed Sani told newsmen at the 21 Armoured Brigade in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, yesterday that they were butchers by profession in Biu Market and were picked up in their different houses in Biu by the JTF operatives. The suspects also claimed to hail from Jigawa and Katsina states, adding that they came to Biu, about 187 kilometres to Maiduguri and South of Borno, to eke a living. Some gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect had stormed a local branch of the Ekklizivar Yan’uwa A Nigeria (EYN) in Borno on June 10 in a bloody shoot out, leading to the death of three worshipers. Many others were also wounded. Sources said the gunmen, numbering about three had invaded the EYN Church (Church of the Brethren in Nigeria) while the Sunday service was going on, killing three, including a woman while many of the members sustained various degrees of injuries from gunshot. Meanwhile, Spokesman of the Joint Task Force (JTF), Lt Col Sagir Musa, who paraded the suspects said the task force believed the seven men were involved in the Biu Church attacks. He, however, said the security agencies in the state needed the cooperation and partnership of the people to succeed. “Handling of the security situation in the country is a collective effort and as such, security agencies should not be left with the responsibility alone. There is need for partnership because it is everybody’s problem. It is time we saw it as our problem especially in making information avalaible,” Lt Col Musa said. Also reacting to allegation of harassment of civilians by the JTF troops, the spokesman assured that the leadership of the task force would continue to preach, sensitize and educate the personnel on the need to maintain discipline even in the face of frustration. He noted that maintaining maximum discipline among troops was one of the major challenges of any internal operation by security agents but appealed to the people for understanding. He also urged the residents to report cases of stolen vehicles to the police or JTF, adding that the task force had uncovered plan by the Boko Haram sect to use stolen vehicles to launch attacks on some public buildings. “Information recently available to the JTF in Maiduguri indicated that there had been desperate moves by Boko Haram to steal/snatch vehicles to be used for terrorists’ activities by implanting Improvised Explosive Devices in vehicles and or through suicide bombing,” he said. He warned that owners of such stolen vehicles, “if used for terrorism acts would be treated as collaborators and accomplices.” |
Johndoe100: This is something I ask times without number mention Rivers state or anything to do with it and these Ibo phucks just swarm the thread. There is one function she came in Imo state and she was refering herself as an igbo woman and she spoke igbo very fluently just like any other igbo person and yet she is from okirika, that was the reason I asked this question just to be surer. |
One of the yoruba finest gentle man. Rest in peace. |
adeibi: VERY URGENT!!!Can you contact me ![]() |
MaziUche0: I have to give it up this man, Fashola knowns how build widespread support. My very own dream ticket would be Fashola as President and Amaechi as his VP.Why amechi? do you think he is the best man? |
I want to know if Kalabari is igbo or Ijaw, I noticed they speak igbo quite fluently, example patience jonathan and some few I came across with. Feel free to make a contribution. |
nagoma: Can the south rule Nigeria at all , let alone ruling it justly? They are unable to prove this , despite the decades of boasting about their high level of education and " civilization" . Nigeria is turning into Somalia and the all knowing southern government is helpless and blaming everybody except themselves. Fresh air indeed! You are a big fool, the days of northern domination and rule are long over. What nonsense, people that are said to come from chad and niger wielding such an influence. You people should go and thank the yorubas who have made your domination over the years possible, but i think now, the yourobas themselves have come to realize that you guys have no business in corridors of powers. The collective destinies of core northerners are nomadic lifestyle and rearing of animals, anything outside this, you will remain a failure in it. Beasts. |
Dear Taiwo, I am in a state of confusion and sorrow. I have always believed blood is thicker than water, but I never knew it could be to the state of complete blindness. I thought I knew my husband of over 15 years but alas, I have been so wrong. I never for once believed that my husband would take a sibling’s words against his nuclear family’s. Oba and I met the very first day I started my first job at his branch. It was love at first sight and for the two of us; it was serious business from the beginning. The snag however was his mother who for one reason or the other had something against the tribe I come from. She did not hide her displeasure for Ekiti people, she is from Ijebu and I always wondered why because we all are Yoruba. Her displeasure did not stop at the tribal sentiment, she extended it to me. It became a source of worry, but Oba always told me not to worry as she would get over it. Unfortunately, she never did. Instead of the issue getting better, it started spreading and taking root in their family as his siblings began to take sides. His dad, was a pleasant man and he showed his displeasure all the time when Oba’s mother discriminated against to me. I really did not know why, but his only female sibling and I did not get on. She always took sides with their mother. I tried all I could to get close to her, but I wasn’t lucky. I always thanked my stars that Oba and I got married before his father’s demise. Probably I wouldn’t have got married to him if his father died before we did. Oba and I got married two years after we met, some people felt it was too early, but for us we would have wished it was earlier. We had a beautiful home. We were happy with each other. The only comma we had was when we had to wait for the fruit of the womb for two years, but the waiting was bearable because we had each other. Although, Oba’s mother wanted to create problems, but the Lord was on my side. I gave birth to Eyitayo three years after my marriage and his sister came to stay with us not long after. Oba’s father died not long after my second child was born. After Oba father’s death, his sister travelled abroad with her fiancée. No one knew exactly what happened, but not long after she left, the relationship broke; but she did not return to the country immediately. She however came back two years ago and things have not been easy for her. She still remained unmarried. She stayed with her mother for some months in Ibadan and Oba later suggested that she moved to Lagos. He helped her secured a job and accommodation was no problem as we have a boys quarter apartment that no one occupied in our house. I had no objection to her staying with us; I felt it was a good development. I saw an opportunity to befriend her and I tried my best to do just this. I never allowed her to cook or do anything, my house keeper combines her chores and her cooking with ours. It was just an extension of the house. Oba wanted privacy for her and her apartment was just good for his wish |
@funshint, you sound like an slowpoke, are you one? beast. |
ladylucky: If tinubu feilds Buhari he should kiss SE/SS/ middlebelt and half oof SW vote goodbye. If he knows wht is gud he had beta field FasholA or any other progressive. Sai Buhari's silence on Boko haram is deafeningIf tinubu is serious, he should find a credible canditate from south-east or middle-belt, else all this rubbish will amount to what it is. It is the time for igbos or middle-belt to produce the next president of Nigeria, you guys should get that into your thick skulls. Obasanjo has done the turn of the yorubas and you all know it, you want another yoruba again. You people keep making the same mistake over and over again. what nonsense. |
