Even in ijaw land Nnandi kanu is more popular than Asari. Am from South south, one thing u guys don't know is the history of the war and the people that fought the war. Dennis osadebe was the head of mid westerners and ojukwu the head of Eastern region.....the two region joined together and became Biafra... Biafra is not Igbo thing. Igbo is a tribe in Biafraland..... The name Biafra was given by an ijaw man and the second in command to ojukwu during the war was a Calabar man.... So Igbos, are not taking or trying to lure the soul call South south to Biafra, rather Biafra is a collective decision of our fathers.
Am from Delta state and my dad fought for Biafra during the war.... Talking about the ilaws, the ilaws need Biafra more than Biafra need them because it's only Biafra can give them the right to their resources which they know Nigeria can never allow that. So to shock u guys we don't need them but they need us more because the ilaws can not fight the fulanis alone and win them....even asari himself knows that the ilaws can not fight d caliphate alone and survive it.....if u can make a little research about Niger Delta and the resource control struggle you will know what am saying.
