Christianity EtcRe: Can You Suspend Tithing To Pay Off Your Debts? by gesture(m): 7:18pm On Jun 25, 2008
Infact , this have been bothering me for about two months now. am in a dilemma concerning this topic. recently my office approved a cash advance of some amount for me. a certain percentage of my salary will be deduct at the end of every month to service the cash advance. with this arrangement, my take home was supposed to be able to take care of my tithes. but, a week after i got the money, our management suddenly change rules that all cash advance have to be paid back under 4 months. this left me with little or nothing at the end of each month, infact i have nt paid my tithe 4 about 2 months now and my conscience is really disturbing me because i have been faithful in my tithing ever since. I am just confuse. reactions to this are welcome.

Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Party For All Nairalanders? What Do You Think by gesture(m): 12:14pm On Apr 02, 2008
storm0210:
this is what i think, d idea of havin a nairaland party never worked out because it was being discussed by the wrong set of people.
someone should volunteer to open a regular email address and post it here, that way d topic is no longer discussed in this thread, anyone who is interested will take another step of signifying interest via email. whoever is planning can den keep track of those who are interested and from time to time contact them via email with up date on plans. a party of 30 can b fun, it must be the whole group there.

definitely, everyone comin will make a financial committment and i don't think the beach is a good place for strangers to meet, a secluded venue that can differentiate guest frm passer-by.

my honest contribution. count me in by d way!
This sounds intruiging and very interesting.but the fact is we need seun to give us his support and as well assist us in the area of creating a mail address through which interested members can communicate.create a poll where members can vote for or against this because everybody opinion counts and majority carry the day

its better to let it be through him(Seun) because of the following reasons
1.Seun sounds and look like the decent type who will not jeopardise his integrity with anything
2.lots of money will be involve cos interested members will have to make financial contribution through an account indicated by seun(probably in the name of nairaland) ,dont forget money is the root of all evil.

I suggest we plan it in such a way that it will be a kind of get together/award/recognition party where someone like seun(and other reasonable people on nairaland) can be recognise for their ingenuity, innovation and contribution especially in the area of job/careers and other informative forum. we still have a very longtime to prepare for this since some people have suggested december already. One Love.
CareerRe: Tony Elumelu Slavery Master by gesture(m): 11:03am On Jan 31, 2008
IB.COM:
I agree with u midep, of all the banks in Nigeria UBA is one the worst in terms of welfare package for its staff,I mean for proffesional staffs (degree holders),not to talk of contract staffs (those with OND/HND). Although u still find contract staff in other banks and reliably I can tell u they don't get good pay,for instance in Bank PHB the difference in payment between a proffessional staff and a contract staff is over 150%. which I believe is not fair, the annoying part is that this contract staff work tirelessly than some of the so called professional staff, especially those in operation. I am in the system and I know what it is like.
To cap it all,UBA seems to be the worst in welfare packages, because in recent times lots of its staffs have moved to Bank PHB.
I am totally in support of what IB.COM said above.its only a pity that the few priviledge ones like Tony Elumelu have been making life difficult for Nigerians.infact Tony Elumelu is the modern slave master of our time.UBA should stop parading itself as the Africa Largest bank when they offer the worst welfare packages across the whole of Africa(fact from a reseach on Welfare packages for Bankers in African Banks).for your information, UBA is one of the least paid bank in the country and the issue of contract staff is tearing them part already but the modern slave master(Tony Elumelu) refuse to bulge on this after Senate had issue a warning to them about contract staff and welfare packages.

Papa20200
this is for you.I wouldt know if you are related to the modern slave master, else am amaze at the level of your support for him.I am very sure you are aware of the work like elephant and eat like an ant life of majority of UBA staff.its very cruel of you to support such.Nigeria is bless to the point where every citizen should live a very comfortable life.its the like of Tony Elumelu that is making Life difficult for people.

I think people like finecat , debosky and others should be reminded that this thread is strictly for the good sons and daughters of Ekiti. if you want to be part of it ,then you need to make meaningful contribution instead of passing insults to people all in the name of jokes.

Toyin,
I wonder why you are wasting your time replying some of this guys.u should know their type and as it goes, silence is the best answer for a f**l.

have you heard about Ekiti Parapo Association in the united state? you can be a member and be part of the good things they are doing back at home.

Finecat, I think you need to go and do your research once again as in the first state where HIV was discovered in Nigeria.for your infomation, Ekiti is one of the few state with least cases of Hiv in the country.cat like you, lol.in the first place, where are u from?

Toyinrayo,
Thank you for this wonderful post, you are indeed a true daughter of the soil.I am from Ekiti,Ado to be precise.I hope other Ekiti nairalanders will be proud enough to associate with the fountain of Knowledge.pls let us keep up this thread.

Shombes,
Well u see now that nairaland is like a mini Naija, u see/meet all sorts of pplle, crazy pplle, mad pplle, intelligent pplle, nice pplle, complete idiots, infact all sorts, just left for you to decide whose company you want to be with/who you want to talk to etc etc,

NOTE: IF YOU ARE SEEN TALKING OR REPLYING ''CRAZY IDIOTS"You MAY BE REGARDED LIKEWISE ,You KNOW, THE ONEs WHO ARE ALWAYS DREAMING OF CREAMS OR IS IT ICE CREAM grin wink
Its highly pathetic to see guys making fun oF themselves in this manner when most people are very much aware that this forum is for the purpose of helping ourselves out.please guys, no matter how stupid a question might sound or look, always try to give a positive answer rather than creating unnecessary atmosphere for jokes.Even a mad man will know the correct answer to what that guy was asking for rather than naming all the failed community banks in your village

creamdream or what do u call yourself, try and be more serious.Benedo, thanks for the good reply above.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Got A Job At Diamond Bank by gesture(m): 9:56am On Aug 29, 2006
Laredo8,U are one hell of a guy. I wonder why u find it so difficult to share the secret of your success with fellow nairalanders despite the fact that many of them(e.g greatone, elaiye, Olari etc) directed their questions concerning Diamond Bank at u.

One thing I want everybody;including u in this forum to know is that the main purpose and objective of this site is to help ourselves figure out the way forward for Nigerian Youths concerning Jobs search and any other stuffs that can benefits us. But rather than answering those questions directed at you, you were busy abusing those that were bold enough to challenge your selfishness. This is not fair. Better learn how to appreciate God and share whatever He has done for you with others. by doing this, more good things will come to you while you would have succeeded in touching more lives positively because as for me, it gives me great Joy whenever I add value to someone life.
