Buying engagement rings when proposing to a lady, and wearing it as a sign that you are engaged to someone to be married, is just one of the aspects of society that fucking annoys me.

It's things like this that epitomizes the delusion of the modern man. A delusional person is someone who stares in the face reality, but yet, chooses to lay hold to illusions.

Humans are divided into two genders, for the primary purpose of reproduction. So basically, we were created to have sex with each other and give birth to more of our species.
But over the years, humans have decided to divert from this preprogrammed sexually polygamous nature, and chosen to live in monogamy, that is, having one wife and starting a family and all that culturally condition crap.
I have no issue with this at all. At least this conventional system, helps us live more civilized lives. But what is silly, is when we decide to create all these new rubbish like wedding ceremonies, wedding rings, engagement rings, just for the sake of finding one random human and deciding to reproduce with her. This my friends, is foolishness and delusion of the highest order.
