Hello I was rejected on the following grounds.

Travel History
Family ties
Purpose of visit
Current employment situation
Personal asset

Now the thing is that all the above mentioned, I presented documents for them including travel history as well, I also presented family asset because my father is my sponsor and his financial statements was about 18m.
My application process took less than two weeks and a decision was made.

Could it be that I made an error feeling my application form. Or what do u guys think

Hi everyone, my brother submitted his family visa application on June 21 while his son biometric letter has been received on his application portal the next day, he and his wife have not yet received their biometric letters respectively till this moment.

Has anyone experienced this and what can be done to solve it?

You should have wait for your passport to return before buying ticket. Anyways it takes 8-10 days for passport return and for you to know your visa has been stamped, check your online status, if you find approved, it means it has been stamped.

You can certainly apply for a student visa from here and your mum can accompany you being your sponsor. Since you have a masters degree, why not apply for a Phd program, I think with this you stand a chance.

Yes I think it is for most online applications. Just got passport request after 55 days.

Processing Times says 28 days for visiting visa process but application processing is taking almost 60days. I want to ask if its the same with other applicants?

Getting a Visa, really have to be with how sincere you are with your application.

Applied first, it was denied after 65 days with reasons ranging from Purpose and Travel history.

I applied with the very same document, and it was approved.

The second application took 12 days and i got a mail, i was damn sure it was approved!

This fuss about having billion in your account, really , really doesn't work. The first application had 18million, The reapplication had 1 million ( i actually didn't check).

I wonder what this people are really looking for, but trust me, be sincere.

Yes you may visit vfs with all your complete docs and as for paying of the visa fee, you can pay with cash at vfs and at the same time do your biometric.

I have downloaded the pdf form after I finish filling it and validate it how do I go about it please, I mean should I go direct to the Vfs office with all my documents to submit them there, and how do I pay my visa fee I see it’s not like USA that I have to go to GT bank to pay there.

I understand the 5m is in treasury bill but I mean in your personal bank account statement which u press ted, how much did you have as balance and is your account well run? The VO wasn't probably interested in your treasury bill but I think personal bank statement would have been better but you can only use your treasury bill as a support to show proof of fund.

Hello gg4real. Of course, $3,000 is way too small an amount to present as bank balance.

I am sponsoring myself and presented my treasury bills investment of N5M as proof of funds and only just indicated on the application form that I was budgeting $3,000 for the ten-day trip.

Are you applying to visit a family/friend or for tourism?in your personal bank statement, how much did u present as balance? I think the $3000 is too small

Hello, fellow Nairalanders. A very Happy Fathers' Day to you all. I have been searching for a while now and think I have finally landed on the right thread. I must also commend the great job you guys are doing here.

I would appreciate your help with a few questions I have. I already applied twice for a Canadian TRV and have been turned down both times. The reasons given the first time, were 'Travel History' & 'Purpose of Visit' while the second was 'Personal Asset & Financial Situation'. Anyway, I actually did present enough funds invested in Treasury Bills (NGN5M) and stated in my appplication that I was budgetting about CAD3,000 for the trip of 10 days! On the other hand, I however failed to present my land papers so I can say they actually got me good from the 'Personl Asset' angle. The land is in the village and I would have to start from the scratch acquring the necessary land papers. I simply can't start this process given the limited time I have to make this trip. On the other hand, my mum has an already surveyed land in her name and seeing that I am her only offspring, is ready to have that transferred to me. Is this okay? If so, what's the best way to go about getting the necessary transfer documents? Will a sworn affidavit of transfer suffice?

I would really appreciate your help with this, guys.

Be patient, you will surely get an update soon. Even my friend who submitted on May 3 hasn't receive any update yet

If you are a PR holder in Canada, You get 10 years US visa.

If you are on work permit in Canada, you get 2 years

If you are in Nigeria, You get 2 years.

If you are a Canadian citizen, You dont need visa to enter US.

Sometimes all this situation can turn someone into a learner. 2wks now.

You have to compress the files to 4MB. If the files size is more than 4MB, u won't be able to upload it

Please house, the online form requires you to submit your documents in a file. My husband has dive passports and all the pages in the 5 passports had visas and stamps so we scanned and put in in a folder and tagged it travel history. Now when we wanted to upload the folder, we couldn't. We could only upload one page from the folder and there are about 80 pages of travel history. My question is how do we upload a folder on the application? Same thing with our bank statements too. Please @justwise and other gurus, thanks for your help so far. Please help me with this too. Thank you.

Congratulations on your pp request.....but this one that u are in Germany and ur family are here in Nigeria is something ooo. May be you should visit Canada application centre in Germany probably they will tell uiu what to do in this situation

Hello gurus in the house!

My lil aister's application was refused recently on the ground that they couldn't reach the UK sponsor's on phone. Now she submitted for the second attempt ansnwe were optimistic they'd call but this time they never called and her application is ready for collection. Pls could this mean a refusal since they didn't call the sponsor this time.

Timeline:
Application received at Sheffield April 21
Application ready for collection email May 02
