Hello guys. So I've been following this thread for a while now from the guest mode and decided to contribute. Major S/O to sailor, Haruna, Openheavens, and a host of other contributors.

Y'all should take a look at the $DUSK koiin. It's currently in price discovery mode after breaking ATH recently. It also has pretty strong fundamentals. They also have some major events and exchange listing coming up. Looks bullish IMO.

As always, this is not financial advice, and DYOR. grin

This is for you. It's an experience of pompido in kiel.

There are 2 tertiary institutions in Kiel namely Christian Albrechts University and Fachhocschule Kiel (University of Applied Sciences) and both have great quality of education. CAU is the more recognized and highly rated of the 2 (Top 30 in Germany) wink but it is research based, so if this is your forte then by all means. If you are more practically oriented, IT systems development/business management and co that would grill you in readiness for the professional working life, then FH it is. This of course is based on perspective and of course do a proper research about your course of choice and its course contents especially (There can be serious K-Leg if you do the naija style of following the better named courses as them fit shock you when you enter grin).

Both schools are linked and so FH students have access to facilities at CAU like the Library, sports center, fitness center.etc. There is also the semester tickets that cover the whole of Kiel (train, ferries, buses). Only difference is that CAU students get a rebate on the direct bus to Hamburg airport (7euros instead of about 15euros and 12euros for the round trip). FH students have to pay the full charge but that is nothing to worry about because the airport is not a frequent trip and there are alternative ways of going on long trips for really cheap

Nice one bro. Thanks for the update

I was able to cancel after getting an appointment date and I was also able to re-book and get a new date.

Hello. How soon did you get a new date after canceling and was the new date closer than the date initially given?

I sent you a pm. Please respond.

Philfit:

If you cancel there is a high probability you might get a later date. I’d advise you to go for the interview and pray your AM could take the usual time 4 weeks which is October 2nd, that still gives you ample time to come before the deadline. People have succeeded in far worse cases.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advise sir.

Guys I need some advise. So I just received my admission for my preferred course, with enrollment deadline of 14th oct. my visa appointment is on September 2. Considering the visa processing time, do you advise I cancel my appointment and book using a closer start of study date?( I put oct 1 as my start of study date for initial visa application)

Yes. You would need to have a Dom account

chekz169:
To make a transfer to BA.... there will be a need to have a domiciliary account... right?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Ghostk: 12:55pm On May 29, 2019
The charges are almost uniform across all banks for the transfer method. I’m not too sure of the form a method tho. Just walk into your bank of choice to make your enquiries.

Coitus:

Please can you kindly break it down for me. As regards to this form A and the transfer method. I would like to know every detail, the process involved, the cost(bank charges) etcetera. kiss

I have a dollar Domiciliary account can I deposit dollar and transfer to my block account in Euro? I guess there should be a convertion

IF it's possible would the charges for either dollar or Euro be the same ?

Pls I need your advise
Thanks

Yes you can. There’s a bank cross rate would would be used to effect the transfer. However I’ld advise you to open a euro account and fund it to make your transfer. It’ll be more direct and cheaper since there won’t be a cross-rate conversion

Have you tried the optiion of form A? using CBN official rate

Go to your bank and tell them you want transfer money for your school. They will ask you of some basic documents such as Admission Letter, the stated fee(you can use the Visa check list where it 8,640 is stated and ur AL where u have ur semester contribution stated), Beneficially bank details, passport data page. Please go with all neccesary documents u used in opening the BA
The money will be lodge in your account while they bid for Euro from CBN. After getting the euro, they will send it to the account.

I have not done it but i asked from standard Chartered bank and they told me its possible.

You can also get Euro for 400 as said, but do a trial for the Form A and compare

Best Wishes

Hello sir, CBN’s Rate does not apply to Form A. If he’s using that option, then he’s going to have to pay the bank’s rate, which is currently higher than parallel market rate. Best advise is to source for own euros and make a transfer to his block account.

Hello bro, I'm trying to apply as well.
Please help with these issues

1. On the final exam portal, do I need to enter my previous studies here? As i can also see selection for location and university.

2. Lastly, on the submission page, it states that without sending my documents and paying of the semester fee they won't process my application, please I have no idea how to pay this or how much I'll need to pay.

Thanks

1. Enter details of your previous studies.
2. You’re to pay an assessment fee of 50€, then send your document along with the proof of payment to the university.
