Mamas please my baby has stopped taking formular totally. She prefers to suck her mittens instead of drinking formular. I introduced some foods for her when she clocked 5months including the almighty Tom Brown, pureed fruits, Heinz baby food, blended oatmeal and fruit puree. That's all she takes now but the ish is I have not closed from work and I only make it when I'm at home. Her nanny at the creche is complaining seriously and I can see she is no longer as heavy as she used to be. She only wants BM and those mede mede foods. Should I be worried? How will she be meeting her daily milk requirements? She will be 6months in January.

PS: someone should please cc me on baby meals on this thread or on nairaland abeg. Una thank you.

PPS: can I do Tombrown and then add milk AND fruit puree to sweeten it? Hope say we no go purge

How to make Editan soup

Ingredients

1 Big bunch of Editan leavesGenerous amount water leavesA handful oduza (oziza) leaves 1kg of beef meat, goat or assorted meat1 medium stock fish head 2 Medium size smoked fish or dried fishsnails (8 medium size (optional)1 Tin cup grounded crayfish2 Cups of periwinkles4 Scotch bonnet pepper25 Cl palm oil4 Seasoning cubes1 Ball onionSalt to taste


Shredded editan with chopped water leaf


Directions on how to prepare editan soup with water leaves 

Since the meat is already cooked, add 1 cup of water to the meat and allow it to boil. When the water starts to boil, Add the wash smoked fish to the pot. Make sure you don’t add it with the meat to cook because the heat will break them down till you can’t find them anymore.Add palm oil, crayfish, seasoning cubes, pepper traditional ingredients (okpei), stir and let it cook for 5 minutes.Add the shredded water leaves or chopped okro to the pot on heat.Add the already washed editan leaves and uziza leaves (odusa leaves) without stirring, cover the pot and allow to boil for 5 minutes. Uziza leaves give a unique flavour to editan soup, you can as well substitute with the uziza seeds.Open the pot and stir the soup properly and allow it on a low heat for 5 more minutes.Taste for salt and seasonings, put of the heat and bring down the soup.

Your editan soup is ready, serve with Ekpang-iwa ,eba, fufu or semolina.

Lol...I'm not a fan of Tombrown sef with all the fry dis, fry dat in the recipe. _{I yam a lazy geh sometimes} it's just milled roasted corn+orisirisi and I equate that to fortified ogi which I'm accustomed to.

Some mamas here have been searching for it in the stores sha @gigy and spiceeamiee. you may wish to bail them out for a fee and then expand the business.

I think/heard it's a boy thing. I don't even think he's hungry, it's just love of breast. My boy is 9 months old and still wakes at least 3 times in the night to suck for less than 5-10 mins

Who is awake? I and DS have been awake since 1am and his temperature is high but I have used wash cloth and water to wipe his body, should I still give him paracetamol or observe him till daybreak ?

My sister its well. Funny enough the babies we have there don't disturb at all. He said no employer will not allow u bring ur baby to work so why bring baby to choir rehearsal that we should take Gods work serious.
