FloraEC: An attention seeking coward that's hungry for burial rice.
Thanks dear, that's how I prepare but I fry onion, Lil okpei and grinded crayfish, off the gas, sieve out my abacha from the hot water I used in soaking it, put inside pot, add lil knorr, fresh grinded pepper, ugba and salt put it back on fire. Mix it wella, bring it down from the fire, add garden egg leaf with the smoked fish.
Tried your method before but the knorr and salt just settled under it or maybe I did it wrong. Now I feel like eating Abacha, maybe that would be dinner tomorrow. I don't know what you did that made your knor go under , maybe it was wet |

I want to share my recipe for Abacha without potash. First soak the abacha in hot water for some minutes until its soft but not soggy, then drain with a seive. I put palm oil in a frying pan, good palm oil oh not those horrible concoctions they sell on the streets. Anyway so put palm oil in frying pan, put knorr and a lil salt in the oil, and fry them together, when its a bit hot, then add the abacha and turn for less than a minute. I don't put too much oil cuz I like dry Abacha, so by the time I'm done frying, its dry and yellow. Then I turn off the fire and start mixing all the other ingredients, crayfish, dry fish, tiny garden eggs, chopped garden eggs, onions, garden egg leafs, cabbage, pomo Abacha is ready to eat. If you like the Abacha wet, then add more oil than i do at the beginning and add a bit of the pomo stock too at the end Ngozika, tell me how you do your own. cc: FloraEC, fpeter (I think you once asked about this or maybe it wasn't you cuz it's been long) |

FloraEC: I pray, thanks dear
But I prepared it by myself na and I didn't use potash. Never knew Abacha has potash in it. Thanks ma, I'll do so. Lol, if you prepared it yourself and you didn't use potash, then there's no potash in it Ngozi |

Benignasweety: But there is a Queen Worenwu on Facebook who looks married and decent, even saw a male picture who could be her husband. Picture quality isn't nice which suggest she is using a small budget phone and on Oct 7th, she announced birth of her child on Fbk. Studied in Rivers Poly according to the profile.
Am not justifying her scamming skills o... wat do I knw sef wen fire don com dan.. . hahaha picture quality and small budget, I'm so late. Why am I always so late. Jazzyjazz thanks for the amebo |

Benignasweety: Plz since glucose isn't sugar, plz can I use it as sweetener?
cc.Orente21 all maamas Have you started giving pap, your baby might end up not even liking it sweet, no need to search extra hard for sweetener. My baby likes thick pap made with crayfish, almost like the texture of very soft jollof agidi. |

hunniesuzie: Yes
I know all the babies in my son's creche. I've met their mummies. Even the after school kids there's one agbaya that is always harassing my son. This one that everything is hidden is not ok at all. They don't even use AC at ours even though there's light all day. Just keep looking, you'll find one that works Thanks, thankfully my sis is coming around so I have enough time to search. |

Akorkor: @giddyperson, please withdraw your baby from that creche i plead. Why are they doing hide and seek in the first place. A creche is where you should be able to check on your baby anytime, any day you like because that is what they are being paid for to monitor and take proper care of our little ones.
God is already giving you the green light that they are doing something wrong that is why your baby cloth is wet and they cant even change it on time including AC that is always ON is not really good. Sometimes they also need fresh air.
Please look for another creche and make proper investigation before you enroll your child like free access, health environment, teachers handling, kitchen usage and Real-time information from other parent.
I wish you well You're preaching to the choir sister |

zaynie: Kilode? Did they do you bad? I'm just tired of them, have called them twice in the last 15 mins, they aint picking. If I say lemme drop by now, they would keep me in the "waiting room" for ten mins while they "decorate". Last time I was there, I could hear the child wailing while they hastily changed her, when I finally came in, the bodysuit she was wearing as inner wear was drenched with water (which she does by spitting whenever you give her water to drink) but I sha wondered how long she'd been wearing that in their AC room that they've refused to do something about but the main reason tho is that the cold is really affecting her, we didn't go yesterday (went to hospital) and half of today. I'm gonna find a creche that can't afford to keep the AC on all day but before that one of my sisters is coming to Lag today, she'd come and baby sit small. helovesme: lmao.

hunniesuzie: The truth is, it is consistent warming that spoils food. If you cook, allow to cool and freeze immediately (with consistent light) the food is preserved like that till you warm and eat. I learnt that from freezing agege bread in the abroad. Microwave before eating and you will feel like you're eating fresh from an oven inside a bakery in agege . Container is those packs they use for takeaway at eateries so I only have to warm what we will eat at a time. My gen carries my freezer so even when light is misbehaving I don't worry. I cooked the oha at my intro sef, my in-laws were so confused caterer was calling 30k cos of 1 pot of soup that cost me maybe 5/6k...tueh. Tomato and pepper total worth of 2k to 2k5 depending on the price of pepper (When tomato is scarce I make ofe akwu cos woman cannot use all her money to buy struggle tomatoes). Hubs likes beans and plantain so I always have to have that in the house Ok, we don't like microwave too, but I'd just freeze in smaller plates so that I'd only have one or two servings per plate for warming purposes. Thank you for all the info |

enque: if u wanna buy meat from online ppl, contact iomoge2..she gat a meat biz up and running. tested and trusted (I use her when my mum isn't available to buy meat for me me sef no kuku sabi price meat)
How do u cook fresh food everyday? U get strength and time o. Lol when my sweet SIL came for omugwo before MIL came, she was asking me how I managed to cook everyday and telling me to start freezing food. Hubby was there saying, we don't freeze food and blabla. She just eyed him, and went out, when she came home she'd bought me a deep freezer that hubby swore we don't need. Since then I've been planning to start cooking large food but I'm always missing the quantity that would make truly large food lol . I'd sha start this month. About the meat, she's even the one I had in mind when I said I plan to start buying online, cuz I've been seeing the page on Instagram |

hunniesuzie: I cook 3 soups and one big pot of stew. Portion into small bowls and put in the freezer. For example this month I made egusi (5 cups), ogbono (3 cups) and okazi (this one no get measure). I buy like 3 kilos of chicken and maybe 6 kilos of beef (this one is an estimate). I also have some boiled pepper (for days I want to make small sauce/eggs and all that stuff), I also cook like 3 dericas of beans and keep in the freezer (this one doesn't last a month, maybe a week and a half or 2). The cooking takes a whole day but It's worth the effort Who taught you how to cook ukazi, thought it was my village people's soup. How much tomato and stew do you use to cook the one month stew, what kinda containers do you store them in. I want to start buying meat from these online people cuz buying meat in the market sucks for me cuz I can't price . You people must like beans a lot to eat frozen beans, I wont be cooking that . This actually helps a lot. My parents only eat freshly cooked food so I never learnt to cook in bulk, even when I think I'm cooking big food, it ends up lasting a week max. Me sef I love all my food freshly cooked but I can't survive like that anymore, I'd leave it until when I'm old, retired and jobless |

hunniesuzie: Chanbaby, if I remember, your husband isn't always in town yeah? If so, you need help. Someone to stay with you at home to relieve you a bit. My help cleans and helps with things like washing meat, grinding pepper while i do the cooking. I cook only once a month (preferably a weekend when my husband is home to assist), putting on the gen, small small errands. I don't leave my baby with her, he goes to crèche. I bathe him myself (she prepares bath water and cleans up when I'm done). She follows me to the market and carries him while I shop. Since backing is not an option (Jazzyjazz you try oh! That big boy! I can't back my boy for more than 30 mins, my waist go tell me)
As for your mum let me just [s]ask if it's not possible for her to stay in her house, you can be going to visit her instead. [/s] join jazzy to wait for mamas with home training
Modified cos I forgot the choir people: Can you take a break from singing? The stress you're putting yourself through may be part of the problem. The only person that can love you more than yourself is God oh, drop any extracurricular activity, do the one you can do. Sweep when you can sweep, cook when you can cook, ignore phone calls if you want to. If anybody ask you say na because of this "one pikin" wey you born, tell them yes with your chest. You have only one life and it's best lived happy and healthy choi I so much want to learn how to cook once a month. What do you cook that lasts all month and what quantity of everything do you buy. Our electricity supply has considerably improved, if I learn to cook once a month, all my problems would be over |

Chanbaby: I can carry baby on my back to save my life . I sabi pass sabinus but dh would never allow me carry him to the market. The boy's weight is one in town and he sweats a lot when I tie him on my back and then he starts crying and stretching to get down. The back pain is real oh. Thanks mamas What of baby carrier. I want to buy one soon cuz my baby is also too heavy and I'm not too good at backing |
