ebonyjoke: flagyl is safe in pregnancy. also mist kaolin is safe and stops diarrhea. its tetracycline that is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation because it causes deposits on teeth's leading to discoloration. Ok, good to know, maybe it was tetracycling I was actually reading about cuz hubby always tries to get me to take the two together. Kelisozuy, Adele won't be having gold teeth then |

Kpele dear hmm this woman, I once read on google while I was pregnant and purging, that flagyl is one of those drugs that give babies coloured teeth. @Rennylicious |

eksbabe: Mamas please i need urgent help. My baby is not taking anything asides breastmilk and it has to be from source(breast). I thought i had this all sorted out cuz he used to take it sometime ago but i stopped for about 2 weeks and he also stopped taking it. Whenever i give him bottle, he cries alot and when he even manages to take the milk(while crying, he doesnt suck the teat i just let it drop in which takes forever) he would end up throwing up. I am so worried cuz i resume Monday and he is still rejecting it. I have tried spoon and cup but it is the same. I even took him to MIL’s place yesterday and left him there to see if he would take it but she called that he was crying endlessly cry. Please help me oo. Giddyperson i remember u had a similar issue, how did u do it? Other mamas pleaaaaase tell me how to go about it. Sorry I'm late, I see other mamas have replied you. Try feeding milk with plate and spoon, also try pap if milk doesn't work. Better for him to be eating pap while you are away than to be hungry and screaming. You can always catch up on the breastmilk when you get home. That's what I did for my baby. |

MamaDG: Hi Mamas, pls welcome me. I have been a senior guest on nairaland since like 5-6 years ago. I officially registered to nairaland yesterday cos of this page. I have been an ardent follower of this page right from the pregnancy thread. I initially registered myself (for my mind o) for March born cos I share the same LMP as nicoleswizz. I have been following her, giddyperson and sansa143 back to back. i was kind of scared when they all gave birth and doctor kept on telling me 'baby's head is not down yet'. story for another day. I want to thank all mothers on this thread for taking out time to provide solutions when its needed. Baby Israel is 6months and 11days lol, welcome senior guest, where is picture of baby Israel kwa. You know how we do, pictures or adunbulivit |

helovesme: I would be extremely wary of a crèche that operates that way.
They have got a lot to hide.
Parent should be allowed free access to where their children are kept at any time. This is a service parents are paying for. All that talk of passing germs, etc is BULLSH*T. if they are that concerned, then there should be a bottle of hand sanitizers at the entrance of the babies room or they ask parents to take off their shoes.
I will not be surprised if the crèche is understaffed or there are too many babies in the room or the area is unkempt or the babies are left unattended to.
Personally, I show up at my son's crèche at anytime that suits me. I punch in the access code at the door and I am inside the building. Even days I know I will be coming in early to pick him up, I do not tell them. I just show up unannounced. This is how i expected it to be o, all the excess preparation to enter just makes me uncomfortable. Anyway, as long as they still sha let me enter, the next few days I'd just start to sit there and breastfeed for over one hour and see whats really going on. When I came on my creche inspection tour, I saw that they had enough hands, and even had cameras which I could request to see, which was an added bonus and they kept repeating that they had an open-door policy as if it was such a favor to have one, schools that have open door policy didn't even make as much noise. |

angeltolly: Good day mamas, I just noticed a red/pinkish pimple-like something on my 6 weeks old baby's navel. Am worried. What can cause this and what can I do about it? Biko ask a doctor about this he's so young. You can see a doctor when you go for immunization if you haven't done the 6 weeks yet |

spiceeamiee: It is o. When they came to take my baby, I started crying. Other parents that came to drop their children started laughing at me. I told them I would come and pick her by 1pm. Between 8am and 12pm, I had called the creche 4times, my husband had called them 3times. By 12:30 I jeje went back to pick her up Lmao choi see who I'm far far better than o. Anyway, I'd go and pick my baby now too, let me keep her with her grandma until I close |

hunniesuzie: Ah, na real wa. Mine isn't that formal. There's a reception area but once you come you can enter into the general play area or any of the rooms to see what's going on (after you take off your shoes sha). Well so far she's fine there's no problem. Did you enter the creche area when you checked it out? Sure but even on that day, they first informed the creche people and they got ready for my coming in while I waited at the reception until they said 'you can come in now' unlike the other creches where we just walked into the place and had a look. I've noticed that only staff and students go through that door, all parents, even those of the older kids, wait at the reception. If you ask them now they'd say its germs |

enque: huh??
my creche has no restrictions o...u can come 25 times a day sef. not meaning to put ideas in ur head, but impromptu visits are good...so u can catch dem doing 'ihe aruru ala', that's if at all they do. That's the thing, I can't do impromptu visits cuz they would not even let you enter the creche area like that, you'd first sit at the reception then they call the creche people, then they bring out your baby [s]before I'd transfer my kwasiorkor to the other kids I guess[/s] or more like time to clean up anything fishy. Anyway, can't even run, hubby is taking this creche thing hard enough, if I decide to change next month I would kuku kill him. @Hunniesuzzie |
