Me too but the creche sef, protocol to see the baby is another thing, they would be wasting the little time I have, plus my visit always seems like such an inconvenience to them, they would be acting like inspector is visiting, makes me try to limit my visit to once a day. And how can I say let me change creche when baby would already be used to their faces by month end.

Their gums itch and that's why they bite or chew on stuff.
All those stuff contains a lot of bacteria and is why they get some funny infections that we say we don't know how it happened.
Give them teether or rubber or fabric toys that are soft. Sterilize often and have more than one handy in case it falls off.
You can even hang around the neck.

Funny enough I downloaded nursery rhymes on my iPad and he loves to watch that. It works to distract him sometimes for up to 30 mins which is a pretty long time. Then certain songs that I used to soothe him from birth get his attention even now

You have to improvise, you can't resume work with a baby that's not eating. Try to see if she would take pap in a plate and spoon. My baby vehemently rejected bottles but embraced pap with spoon. You can mix the pap with a lot of formula so that she's still getting the nutrients she needs. You can also put her in a creche close to your office (if that's possible) so that you can still breastfeed her when you are on break.

The eating everything phase started shortly after she clocked 4 months and it's steadily improved . She's 6 months now. Put her behind the steering wheel of the car trying to make her fake-drive and she would keep fighting you, trying to sit forward and eat the steering, try to show her something on a laptop or ipad and shes off eating the gadget, can't even carry her and watch movies in peace again. The funniest, if her dad calls and asks me to give her the phone, one seecond later I'd be hearing her father's voice from inside her mouth, its crazy. I think all kids go through this phase sha, when I was creche hunting, in one of the creches I visited, a little boy was eating the bib around his neck, the nanny grabbed it from him and he went into a full scale meltdown, the nanny quickly put the bib back in his mouth and he shut up and gladly continued. Before I had a baby that would have been a sign that my baby would never attend that creche but now I understand the struggle.

Lmao! See ehn, I have identified certain things as safe (relatively clean, no sharp ends, no small bits that can choke baby) and just allow him to eat. Examples include my half dead phone, my wallet, car key (after I clean it with wipes), his bottled water, pack of wipes, diaper (unused biko). The worst is when we're trying to dress up, he's busy rolling away to pick cream or oil or comb or....urrrgh! My cousin gave her daughter her key to chew one day and some woman started talking about how unhygienic it is...my cousin didn't even bother answering her, you never jam.

About number 3, I remember when I thought this was a problem until my baby showed me part two. Now she wants to eat everything apart from her fingers or sterilized toys. Would be so good if she just ate her fingers cuz then I could wash her hands and let her go crazy, now she eats books, my purse, tries to eat my hair, other peoples hair, my phones, shoes, torch lights, bottles, cartons, these days i even give her my complimentary cards to eat cuz she's quiet when eating them and the paper doesn't dissolve easy, sometimes I just let her eat clothes cuz she starts a screaming feat when I take things away. Bad mum I know but peace of mind is priceless. She was an expert finger sucker in those days tho and added weight just fine.

But this stooling only reduced and did not stop totally, so my mom said the stooling might be because she wants to cut teeth.

Whenever my baby starts stooling, I just switch to Ebf and make sure i breastfeed very often to keep her hydrated. Usually stops by the end of the next day. The only time she stooled for up to 4 days she was reaction to Zinnat antibiotics. Try to see what she's been eating, if bmilk can sustain her then switch to EBF until it stops, if not, handle all bottle sterilization, food preparation and feeding by yourself

My opinion though - why don't you get smaller containers and mix the milk and cereal in powdery form. They can then mix with water when he's ready to eat. Just tell them the quantity of water for each feed. That way, the risk of food contamination is reduced. I use this nuby dispenser container for packing my baby's good to creche. Each one has 3 compartments. It's really airtight and the mixture stays fresh even after several hours.

Lol maybe you read her post wrong, that's what she's doing, she mixes in powdery form, then creche people add water

My dear thanks for asking ,my preety boy have really suffered having more than 100seizures have really affected him,he lost a lot of milestone. We are seeing a paediatric neurologist who was able to stop the seizures and is managing him. Will write about my experience later. Thanks once more.

Dont know if it's a post partum package or a post partum depression package. Happened to me. I missed out on most of my omugwuo orisirisi. All I could drink was huge bowls of hot pap cuz I was finding breastmilk with torchlight. It would pass after a while. Later I started to eat like a thief, I'd even wake up at midnight and eat the remnants of whatever hubby had for dinner not minding if its cold or open, and he'd be staring at me in wonder. Just eat what you can now, if it's pap or juice or fruits, eat it all day until your appetite starts to come back.

Thanks, most of the big stores stock the same things (popular brands) but maybe one day I'd stumble on it.

That one below is just plain oatmeal for supported sitters. Most of the oatmeal for sitters has something in addition to it, cos I searched for plain oatmeal tire but i no see.

There's another one I saw oatmeal+sweet potato, but was hesitant to buy cos I wasn't sure how it'd taste.

I have so much August secrets empty 'kom-kom' in my house eh, that I have started converting them to maggi, crayfish, drypepper and maggi containers.

@Hunniesuzzie, if I buy regular quaker aots and blend, would it still be fortified with all the Vitamin A-Z they put in baby food, cuz my baby wont eat it if I put formula in it and I dont know...what would it actually contain. Meanwhile the thieving mall close to my house sells this Gerber for 2300 or was it 2500.

Some people use regular oats but u have to blend it to a smooth texture before cooking it for ur lo

Oh this is the exact one that makes my baby's poop green. I can see another one thats partly hidden in the lower cabinet, it looks like its just oatmeal, can u show me that one plssssssssssssssss. So I will be resuming work on Monday. I have sourced for a good day care (based on recommendations) for my baby. I bought some small storage plates to dish her formular in. One plate has enough formulae for each feed. I also bought the Gerber rice meal but no instructions on the pack on how to prepare it. Please how do they make It?. I intend to breast feed all through the night and morning before she goes to day care. How do i pack the food? Two feeds of formular and two feeds of cereals? What about fruit purees abi time never reach? I'm trying to rack my brain to know if i have actually done the things i should. Sabi mama's please help me with tips and advice o.

Please modify the post and include how old your baby is, incase other mamas want to put mouth. I think two feeds of formula and two of cereal is ok but pack and extra feed too just incase. My baby started this week too, we have been having two bags so far, one big and one small, cuz I'm literally packing everything, as time goes on I'd gradually cut down on the things I notice she doesn't use. No matter how many questions you ask you're still gonna do the same, better to pack too much than too little. For her first week, I think you should only pack foods she's happy taking. I've only been packing August secrets and mashed foods for my baby cuz she'd gladly open her mouth for adult food or anything that tastes like it but would fight you if you try to give her formula or anything mixed with formula. So right now I just pack two little flasks containing her food, I make the food in the morning before I leave the house and the flasks keep them warm all through the day. I breastfeed all through for the rest of the day and night.

I don't use gerber rice, I use greber oats... I have a mental calculation of how much my lo takes i.e. 4-5 tables spoons. I measure out and add 200mls of milk, and that's it. SO, if there's no instructions, u may hv to use ur discretion.
I've done some posts on my creche modus operandi, will look bk n tag u...I gat 0 strength to start retyping now.

How old is ur LO? I started fruit purees at 6 months, some people start at 4mts tho

u may need to upload a pix of the bowls u got, so we know wat we r advicing based on.

Hve u tried giving her any of these cereals/foods at home? I always try out new meals at home first b4 packing for creche, so i can see her reaction and that helps me know what she likes/doesnt like and guage what quantity she can finish, to avoid waste

This Gerber oats of which you speak, is it just oats in it and nothing else, I might be interested in that. Also please confirm that the way to make apple puree is to cook the apple then blend
