aflame100: let me take a shot at number 2.
Giddyperson was furious. men! why didn't they ever listen? Ever since an index case of the dreaded covid-19 was recorded in Nigeria, the number of positive cases had been rising and there was a General call for the government to shut all borders and enforce a lockdown. Her husband had gone for a business trip and she kept telling him to return home to avoid being stranded. In his usual optimistic manner, he assured her that it wouldn't get to that. Now, as she listened to the president issue the lockdown order and interstate travel ban, Giddy was angry: at her husband for not listening to her, at the government for not closing borders earlier and even at the Italian who was the index case in Nigeria. why didn't the bloody man stay back in his country biko? The next day, Giddy went to the mall to get supplies. she had done bulk shopping a few days before so she just needed to stock up on a few items; plus, there was no telling how long the lockdown would last so she wanted to enjoy the last moments of free movement. The first few days were fun. she played with her children, helped her daughter and her little cousin who lived with her with their online classes, worked on her laptop, talked to friends and family on the phone; sensitizing them on the need to adopt the safety measures of regular handwashing as well as the use of hand sanitizer. As the days wore on, restlessness set in. she missed her husband terribly. their regular whatsapp chat was no longer enough. Despite havin the children and her cousin with her, she felt lonely. Giddy wasn't really an outdoors person but being confined with 2 small children who were either crying for her attention or fighting over toys was doing something to her mind. several times she was tempted to drive over to her husband's family house but the fear of the Lagos state task force was greater. Even the children didn't understand why they had to stay indoors all day and were already crying for daddy. Her daughter's birthday came and it was a low key affair since she could not throw a party. she however ordered some children books and a toy online for the birthday girl. while she was going through her drawers one day, Giddy came upon the manuscript of a book she had started writing but abandoned. As she read through the pages, she felt a thrill run through her veins. she took up writing again and within a few days she had completed the book. When the gradual ease of lockdown was announced, Giddy was overjoyed. she couldn't wait to get her life and more importantly, her husband back and she was truly thankful to God for the safety of her friends and family. Awww, how do you people know me so well |

viettastitches: 2. giddyperson I do not claim to personally know the individual behind the moniker "giddyperson", but being ardent follower of hers on diaryland and knowing her personality on the pregnancy and newborn thread, I think I can somewhat imagine how the must have spent her days during the covid 19 lockdown period.
The day was 27 February 2020,and just like everyone else, giddy was shocked with the news of the Italian expatriate who had brought the virus to Ogun state. It was with keen interest she listened and read as the number of people who had come in contact with the index case increased everyday, and so it wasn't really a surprise to her when the lockdown was announced all around the country.she received the news with mixed feelings.what giddy hadn't expected was the suddenness of the travel ban, seeing as Mr giddy was away for business in another state. giddy welcomed this sudden and terrifying changes with an initial panic, buying foodstuff in very large quantities, stocking up hand sanitizers, worrying about her family members far or near, wondering if she was overreacting, working from home with two very active toddlers, and still taking care of her kids.it was really tiring.giddy was also astonished by the, sudden inflation of everything in the m WA stateket. Even the traders didn't exactly know if to blame the price hike on the covid 19 Pandemic or the new exchange rate in the Forex market.it was obvious to giddy that the hike in price was as a result of the high demand of goods caused by the fact that everyone was panic shopping and buying things in bulk. Everyday giddy would try to find out if there was news about vaccines and also check out the growing number of infected people in Nigeria.
Eventually, giddy got used to her new routine.she enjoyed staying at home and spending time with her kids.she took herself through a new phase of self discovery.the virus suddenly did not feel so dreadful anymore and although she still tried to apply necessary preventative measures when necessary,it did not seem as scary as it initially did.she was even more elated when Mr giddy came back home. kpekus has a way of making everything more interesting in ways you can't even imagine..
In summary, giddy person spent her covid 19 lockdown trying to stay safe and keeping her kids safe while adapting to the new changes caused by the pandemic.
I am sure her lockdown probably must have been more dramatic than I have tried to describe and I also bet she ended up enjoying it. Wow I like |

Goldenheart002: July mamas and porters, keep dropping it hot hot, we are coming too! Pls I have two serious questions bothering me oh
1). Wen I had my first child, I was given a cut dat was badly stitched. I remember my usual rant here dat year and how mamas came to my rescue with beautiful advices and tips. D site took a very long time to heal and even after it healed it made my VJ smaller and sex more painful. Issue now is I'm expecting a bigger baby dis time around (according to scan) and I'm scared of having another cut and I've not had intimacy in about 5mnths now
*How can I prevent myself from tearing or having a cut? *Can repairs be done for d previous cut I had?
2). How should one dispose off d placenta asides letting d hospital handle it?
Cc Zaynie FloraEc Giddyperson Awesomemama Sunbestie All Sabi mamas, e daakun epp mi Please discuss number one with the doctors. You can't risk having just anyone stitch it again. For number two, the easiest way it's to throw it in a pit toilet if you know any. Otherwise, ask your husband to dig a kinda deep hole and bury it if you have the space. |

Awesomemama: Please check his Pcv if you suspect it's low My niece had the same experience, it got to a point that she could not even walk. It was later discovered that her Pcv was low. Altho she just recovered from treating malaria b4 she had that episode. I thought of this too because I stopped cereal recently and I've even restarted the cereal again because I don't know if he's getting enough iron from everyday foods. But he's still very agile and strangers can't even see the limp, they think it's normal one year old walk. But me and everyone at home know that's not how he used to walk. |

Biko, my son has been limping since yesterday and there's no remarkable event that I know of that could have led to the limping. I've pressed his legs and he doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain tho a point on his left thigh seems to be a bit painful for him when pressed really hard.
Has this happened to anyone before biko? Is it time to go get an x-ray or should I still watch it?

MumDiamond: Lol... My 6 weeks old baby not only stares at the fan. My wedding pictures are her personal fave. We have two of our wedding pictures enlarged in a frame in the sitting room; that’s the traditional wedding picture and the white wedding picture.
I was pregnant with her during the wedding. Someone mentioned that she could see herself in the picture. Everyday, she looks at the pictures like it’s her first time of seeing them. If you move her to another position, she’ll stretch her neck to look at the other wedding picture across the room.
At times when she’s crying, we take her close to the picture and she stops crying. Sometimes, she looks at the picture and smiles, almost laughing sef. There was a day she was smiling broadly at my traditional wedding picture and everyone in the room started laughing. She burst into tears making a face like we were mocking her... Lol
On a more serious note, I’m very concerned about how much she looks at the pictures. Although, she stares at the wall, fan and light as well, but those pictures! At times she takes a break from breastfeeding to look at them, smiles, then goes back to feeding again.
Experienced mamas, am I worrying too much? Yes, you are worrying too much. Let the child stare at whatever she enjoys staring at, that's pretty much all they can do at this age lol. |

Leesah: Good morning mothers in the house, Please I need help.... My daughter sucks as if my breast is going into extinction and it's making my nipples hurt me a lot. Once she sees breast open, she'll just put her mouth, if I'm covered, she either drags the cloth until she gets her way, tear it if it's fragile or cry till I answer her. Right now, they're both red and if she attempts to suck, it hurts a lot. She's 9 months old, rejects cereals, pap and other foods. I've tried mashed purée and the rest yet, it's not working and I had to start force feeding her so she won't loose weight and even after I just finish force feeding her, she'll still want to suck breast. It's now looking like an addiction. Wanted to breastfeed her till she's 18months old but right now, I'm thinking twice. Would it be right to wean her now or I should wait till she's a year old? And what's the guarantee that she'll start eating food when I wean her? Stop force feeding please. Find one food she can tolerate even a few spoons of. And just give her a few spoons of it every 30 mins, she'd take more of it with time. And after a month you can introduce something else. Always start with lots of patience, if she's accepting just 3 spoons of cerelac, then stick to making just that size until she starts to want more. Try garri and soup too, you never know what she might like. You can wean her too if you want, would be tough but in less than two weeks she'll be eating other foods. She'll cry at first but she'll get used to it. Just let someone else feed her , and avoid being in the same room with her all day as much as you can for a week. Many babies reject all other foods when breastmilk is on the menu. |
